Therefore, according to the present invention, the volume of the volume variable member located in the air reservoir is changed by changing the pressure of the air in the air reservoir. The volume variable member is adjacent to the liquid storage part, and the liquid storage part receives a pressing force that changes according to the volume change from the volume variable member. Therefore, the liquid storage part receives a pressing force that changes variously due to a change in the pressure of the air in the air storage part, and the stored liquid is stirred. As a result, the occurrence of the liquid concentration distribution can be effectively prevented.
[0010]
Moreover, as a drive source for causing the volume change of the volume variable member, any means capable of changing the pressure of the air in the air storage section may be used. Therefore, it is possible to use one having a large degree of freedom in arrangement as compared with a drive source such as a magnetic stirrer or a stirring drive unit. As a result, it is possible to prevent an increase in size and complexity of the liquid ejecting apparatus that uses this liquid storage container.
[0011]
Furthermore, since the volume variable member may function as a shock-absorbing material against an impact during vibration during transportation of the liquid ejecting apparatus and the liquid storage container, the reliability of the liquid storage container is improved.
[0012]
In this liquid storage container, the liquid storage part has a flexible part. , The variable volume member is , The flexible part Touch It is provided as follows.
[0013]
According to this, the liquid in the liquid storage part and the volume variable member are adjacent to each other through the flexible part of the liquid storage part. Accordingly, the pressing force by the volume variable member is transmitted to the liquid via the flexible portion, and, for example, the volume is compared with a case where the volume variable member and the liquid are in direct contact. The pressing force by the variable member is stably transmitted to the liquid. As a result, the liquid can be stirred more stably.
[0014]
In this liquid storage container, the variable volume member is positioned in the lower part in the vertical direction in the liquid storage container, and receives the gravity of the liquid as a load, and is formed to be elastically deformable based on the magnitude of the load. Yes.
[0015]
According to this, when the volume of the volume variable member is reduced based on the driving of the pressure changing means, the liquid moves downward due to gravity. Further, when the volume of the volume variable member is increased, the liquid is pushed upward by the volume variable member. Therefore, as the volume of the volume variable member increases or decreases, the liquid moves up and down, the liquid stirring effect increases, and the liquid can be stirred almost evenly.
[0016]
In this liquid storage container, the liquid can be stored in a range from a first mass to a second mass that is smaller than the first mass, and the volume variable member is configured so that the liquid has the first mass. And having a first volume, and having a second volume larger than the first volume when the liquid has the second mass.
[0017]
According to this, when the amount of liquid stored in the liquid storage container decreases, the volume of the volume variable member increases accordingly, and the changeable range of the volume of the volume variable member increases. That is, when the volume of the volume variable member is changed by driving the pressure changing means, the range of the volume change can be increased as the liquid storage amount decreases. As a result, when the liquid agitation is not so necessary, such as at the start of use of the liquid storage container, the degree of agitation is small, and the degree of agitation is increased when time passes due to the progress of liquid consumption. Can be. Therefore, the liquid in the liquid storage container can be appropriately agitated corresponding to a change with time.
[0018]
In addition, since the volume of the volume variable member is small at the start of use of the liquid storage container, the volume of the liquid storage unit can be made relatively large, and more liquid can be stored.
[0019]
In this liquid storage container, the volume variable member has a force to press the liquid in the liquid storage unit based on a volume change of the volume variable member. To gradually change Is provided.
[0020]
According to this, based on the volume change of the volume variable member, the liquid in the liquid storage unit receives a gradually changing pressing force. Therefore, the liquid in the liquid storage container can be stirred more effectively.
[0021]
In this liquid storage container, the volume variable member has rigidity in each part. Become uneven By being formed in such a manner, the force of pressing the liquid in the liquid reservoir based on the volume change of the volume change member is To gradually change Is provided.
[0022]
According to this, the responsiveness of the change in the pressing force to the liquid storage part by the volume variable member with respect to the pressure change in the air storage part is determined for each part of the volume variable member by the difference in rigidity in each part of the volume variable member. Can be different. Therefore, for example, a relatively rigid part of the volume variable member is adjacent to a part that is considered to have a high liquid concentration, such as the lower part of the liquid storage part in the vertical direction, and the part is positively pressed. Thus, the liquid can be preferentially stirred. As a result, the liquid can be efficiently stirred in the liquid reservoir.
[0023]
In this liquid storage container, the variable volume member is configured by a flexible container having a hollow shape and a compressible fluid accommodated in the container.
[0024]
According to this, the structure of the volume variable member becomes simple. Therefore, the manufacture and handling of the volume variable member can be facilitated.
In this liquid storage container, The volume variable member is formed in a hollow shape. The container is made of an elastic material.
[0025]
According to this, by driving the pressure changing means, the volume of the container is changed at least in the direction of decreasing or increasing, and then the driving of the pressure changing means is stopped, so that the container is restored by the elastic force of the container itself. Return to the volume. Therefore, the pressure changing means may be any means as long as it can change the pressure in the air storage section at least to either increase or decrease, and the configuration and control of the apparatus can be simplified.
[0026]
In this liquid storage container, the volume variable member is The volume variable member is formed in a hollow shape. An urging means for urging the container at least in either a direction in which the volume increases or a direction in which the volume decreases is provided.
[0027]
According to this, by driving the pressure changing means, the volume of the container is changed at least in the direction of decreasing or increasing, and then the driving of the pressure changing means is stopped, so that the container is restored to the original volume by the urging means. Return to. Therefore, the pressure changing means may be any means that can change the pressure in the air storage portion at least to either increase or decrease, and can simplify the configuration and control of the apparatus.
[0028]
The liquid storage container includes communication means for communicating the inside of the hollow container of the volume variable member with the outside of the liquid storage container.
According to this, as the volume of the container increases or decreases, the compressible fluid in the container comes and goes between the inside of the container and the outside of the liquid storage container via the communication means. As a result, in order to change the volume of the volume variable member, energy for contracting or expanding the compressible fluid becomes unnecessary, and the volume is easily changed. As a result, the responsiveness of the volume change of the volume variable member to the pressure change in the air reservoir can be improved, and the liquid can be stirred more effectively.
[0029]
In the liquid storage container, the liquid storage container includes a liquid supply port for supplying a liquid to the outside, and the volume variable member is disposed in the liquid storage container with respect to the liquid supply port. It is provided in the position which opposes in the state which pinched | interposed the part.
[0030]
According to this, the volume variable member comes to be located at a position away from the liquid supply port in the liquid storage container. Accordingly, when the volume variable member presses the liquid storage portion for stirring, the liquid storage portion is pressed from the end portion. In other words, it is possible to prevent the liquid storage part from being blocked by the liquid storage part being pressed in the vicinity of the central part thereof. As a result, the liquid can be stably supplied to the liquid channel.
[0031]
The present invention Inside Liquid reservoir When With the air reservoir The liquid reservoir is pressurized by introducing air into the air reservoir from outside, and the liquid is supplied to the outside from the liquid reservoir by the pressurization. A liquid storage container, a liquid ejecting head that ejects the liquid, a liquid flow path that connects the liquid storing unit and the liquid ejecting head, and a pressure changing unit that changes the pressure of the air in the air storing unit. In the liquid ejecting apparatus, the liquid storage container is disposed in the air storage unit. , Pressing the liquid in the liquid reservoir With a variable volume member, The volume variable member is pressurized together with the liquid reservoir by introducing air into the air reservoir from the outside of the liquid reservoir, and the volume is reduced and the pressurization is released when pressurized. Sometimes the volume changes so that the volume increases, Of the variable volume member Said Based on volume change , The force of pressing the liquid in the liquid reservoir changes You The
[0032]
Therefore, according to the present invention, when the pressure of the air in the air reservoir is changed by the pressure changing means, the volume of the volume variable member positioned in the air reservoir is changed. The volume variable member is adjacent to the liquid storage part, and the liquid storage part receives a pressing force that changes according to the volume change from the volume variable member. Accordingly, the liquid reservoir receives a pressing force that changes variously by driving the pressure changing means, and the stored liquid is stirred. As a result, the occurrence of the liquid concentration distribution can be effectively prevented.
[0033]
The volume change drive source of the volume variable member is a pressure change means, and for example, a device having a large degree of freedom in arrangement compared to a drive source such as a magnetic stirrer or a stirring drive unit may be used. Is possible. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the liquid ejecting apparatus from becoming large and complicated.
[0034]
Furthermore, since the volume variable member may function as a buffer material against vibration, impact, or the like during transportation of the liquid ejecting apparatus or the liquid storage container, the reliability of the liquid ejecting apparatus or the liquid storage container is improved.
[0035]
In this liquid storage / injection apparatus, the pressure changing means is connected to the air storage section via an air flow path, and pressurization is performed to increase or decrease the pressure of the air in the air storage section via the air flow path. It is a pump.
[0036]
According to this, the pressure of the volume storage member is changed by increasing or decreasing the pressure of the air in the air storage section via the air flow path by the pressurizing pump, and the liquid storage section is pressed by the volume variable member. Can be changed. In addition, this pressurization pump can use the pressurization pump for changing the pressure of the liquid in a liquid storage part, and sending a liquid to a liquid flow path as it is in a liquid injection apparatus. Therefore, the pressure pump required for liquid ejection can be used as a pressure pump for changing the volume of the volume variable member, and there is no need to provide a new device. Simplification can be made and enlargement can be prevented.
[0037]
Moreover, the volume change of the volume variable member is simultaneously performed by driving the pressure pump for sending the liquid to the liquid flow path, and the liquid is stirred. Therefore, even if the pressure pump is not specifically driven to stir the liquid, the volume variable member is changed in volume by driving the pressure pump for delivering the liquid from the liquid storage container to the liquid flow path as usual. And the liquid is stirred. Therefore, it is not necessary to perform new control or the like for stirring the liquid, and it is possible to effectively prevent the apparatus from becoming large and complicated.
[0038]
In the liquid ejecting apparatus, one pressurizing pump is provided for the plurality of liquid storage containers.
According to this, when one pressure pump is driven, the pressure change in the air storage part in the plurality of liquid storage containers is performed at substantially the same timing, and the volume variable member changes in volume in each air storage part. Will come to do. Then, the liquid is stirred in each liquid storage container. Accordingly, the liquid in the plurality of liquid storage containers can be agitated with one pressurizing pump. That is, the structure and control of the apparatus can be simplified as compared with the case where a pressure pump is provided for each liquid storage container.
