【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、机の天板上に書棚を取付け取り外し可能に構成された学習机等に装備される机上用照明装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
近年、学童を対象とした一般的な学習机として、天板奥側に書棚を配備するとともに、この書棚を机本体に対して取付け取り外し可能にする構成のものが商品主流となっている。
そして、このような構成の学習机には、当然に書棚が取付けられた状態でも、書棚を取り除いた状態であっても装備可能な机上用照明装置が設けられている。この机上用照明装置の多くは、天板の左右方向に沿う蛍光灯を、書棚あるいは机本体に取付けるといった構成になっている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところが、このような机上用照明装置は、固定式で天板前方上方から照射される構成であるため、照射された光は、照射距離が長くなるほど光量が減少することから、天板手前に近づく程、暗くなってゆく傾向を示す。そのため、天板全面の照度分布には大きなばらつきがあり、天板全体を学習や作業面とする机利用等では、不満足な照明構成となっている。
このようなことを少しでも解決しようと従来にあっては、蛍光灯である机上用照明装置を前後に移動自在にして、暗い部分を明るくする手法をとって、前述の問題に対処しょうとする構成のものはよく知られている。また、実願昭53−34506号に開示されているものは、図18に示すように一対の蛍光灯100、100を左右に振り分け、尚且つ、それぞれの蛍光灯100の左右中央部側を回動中心として、遊端側の他端側を可動操作して、蛍光灯が左右に直列の配列状態から平面視でハの字状の配列状態にして前述の問題に対処しょうとする構成のものも存在している。
しかしながら、前者の構成の机上用照明装置は、蛍光灯が前後に移動させることができる距離は僅かなものばかりであり、蛍光灯直下の天板部の明るさを増減することができることはあっても、天板前面を均等な明るさにできるものではない。また、後者の構成の机上用照明装置は、天板中央部の明るさを増減することは認められても、天板全面を均等な明るさにできるものではなく、中央部から遠ざかる部位では依然として暗くなる傾向を示すものである。

本発明は、上述の実状に鑑みて為されたものであって、その主たる課題は、机の天板上面をほぼ均等な明るさにすることが可能であるとともに、天板上面の照明パターンを天板の利用内容によって選択することができる机上用照明装置を提供する点にある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
習机又はそれの天板上に配設される書棚に装備される照明装置であって、光源を、天板の左右方向に沿う横向き姿勢でほぼ直列状に配置される複数のランプ部から構成するとともに、左右方向の両外側に位置するランプ部の各々を、それの外側端部側の縦軸芯周りで前方側に突出する縦向き姿勢に変更操作自在に構成していてもよい。
記構成によれば、各ランプ部が、天板の左右方向に沿う横向き姿勢でほぼ直列状に配置される照明状態では、前方上方から天板上に光りが照射され、ランプ直下から天板中央部かけて最も明るい照明状態となり、左右方向の両外側に位置するランプ部の各々を、それの外側端部側の縦軸芯周りで前方側に突出する縦向き姿勢に変更配置される照明状態では、各ランプ部は天板上に直接位置するとともに、天板面を分配するように配置してあるので、天板全面でほぼ均等な光の照射状態となる。この縦向き姿勢の照射状態では、照射光が直接に目に入らないので、目の疲労も少なく良好な照明形態を構成することができる。
また、横向き姿勢の照明状態では、照射する光は天板で反射して、その反射光が直接に使用者の目に入ってくるので、反射が少なくはっきり見なければならないような場合には良好な照明環境を作り出すことができ、光が反射し易い写真等を見なければならないような場合、ランプ部を縦向き姿勢に変更して、側方からの照射光にすることで反射光が目に入らないようにして良好な照明環境を作り出すことができる。
しかも、左右のランプ部の照明姿勢を各別に変更することにより、照明の内容や質感も変わるので、それに合せて天板部を多様に利用することができる。
また、各ランプ部を縦向き姿勢にして天板全面を均等照射することで、両手作業時、あるいは、右利き、左利きに関係なく手暗がりにならないようにすることができ、あるいは、左側のランプ部のみを縦姿勢にして右利きの利用者が手暗がりにならないようにすることも、右側のランプ部のみを縦姿勢にして左利きの利用者が手暗がりにならないようにすることも、ランプ部の操作如何によって可能であるので、学習や作業が手暗がりならずに円滑に行なえるといった人間工学的な配慮が為されているので、使用面での信頼性が高く使い勝手がよい。
さらに、横向き姿勢での照明状態と、縦向き姿勢での照明状態とに各ランプ部が、変更操作可能であるとともに、各ランプ部をスイッチでON,OFFできるようにしておけば、現状に応じて、または、好みに応じて、各ランプ部を適宜に選択操作と、点灯か消灯かの選択操作を行なって、最も良好な照明状態で使用することが可能である。

記構成によれば、左右のランプ部が、天板の左右方向に沿う横向き姿勢でほぼ直列状に配置される照明状態では、前方上方から天板上に光りが照射され、ランプ直下から天板中央部かけて最も明るい照明状態となり、左右方向の両外側に位置するランプ部の各々を、それの外側端部側の縦軸芯周りで前方側に突出する縦向き姿勢に変更配置される照明状態では、左右のランプ部は机上板面上に位置するとともに、天板面を左右に分配するように配置されるので、天板全面がほぼ均等な光の照射を受ける照明状態となる。
しかも、左右のランプ部の照明位置を変更することにより、照明の内容や質感も変わるので、それに合せて天板面を多様に利用することができる。

また、前記支持アームを保持するアーム保持部と器具本体との間には、該器具本体に対してアーム保持部を昇降させる昇降調節手段が設けられていてもよい。
記構成によれば、各ランプ部はアーム部に連結されているので、アーム部の昇降によってランプ部も昇降することになるので、上昇するほど天板面への光の照射が弱くなり、反対に、アーム部の下降によってランプ部も下降することになるので、下降するほど天板面への照射を強くすることができる。しかも、各ランプ部はアーム部と一体に昇降する構成であるから、天板面の光の強さ(照度)は天板面とランプ部と距離に比例する関係となる。

また、前記器具本体と横向き姿勢にある各ランプ部との相対向する部位には、ランプ部を横向き姿勢で係合保持する仮止め手段が設けられていてもよい。

【発明の実施の形態】
〔第1実施形態〕
図1〜図15は、書棚Bが取付け取り外し自在に構成される学習机Cに、本発明の机上用照明装置Aを適用した一例を示す。
机上用照明装置Aは、学習机C又は書棚Bに取付け可能な器具本体1から左右両側方に片持ち式(つまり、基端側が他物に支持されている一方で先端側は他物に支持されていない方式)の支持アーム2が器具本体1に固定され、先端側を延設し、各支持アーム2の先端部2A、2A側の各々に、ランプ部3の外側端部3Aを縦軸芯X周りで回動自在に装着して、左右一対のランプ部3,3を天板C1の左右方向に沿う横向き姿勢でほぼ直列状に配置される状態から,左右一対のランプ部3,3を、それらの遊端部3Bが左右方向で相対向する横向き姿勢と前方側に突出する縦向き姿勢とに変更操作自在に構成されている。また、図7には、右側のランプ部3のみを縦向き姿勢に変更操作して、右側の照明を強くする状態が開示され、図8には、左側のランプ部3のみを縦向き姿勢に変更操作して、左側の照明を強くする状態が開示され、図9には、両ランプ部3を横向き姿勢と縦向き姿勢に中間位置に変更操作して、天板C1中央部の照明を強くする状態が開示されている。

また、前記中継ぎ体21の基端のリング状面21cには、この面と対峙且対面する前記支持台20の中間部に形成された環状鍔部20cの片面に形成された半球状の凸部20cに対する受け部となる半球状の凹部21dが形成されているとともに、中継ぎ体21の先端のリング状面21eには、支持台20の円柱先端部20bを挿通させる貫通孔21fより大径のコイルスプリング23が収容される大径凹部21gが形成され、中継ぎ体21の先端部側から中心軸Zに沿って配備したねじ付き蓋24のねじ部24aを、中継ぎ体21に挿通された支持台20の円柱先端部21bの軸心に形成された雌ねじ部20fに螺合して、コイルスプリング23を圧縮状態にして、支持台20に中継ぎ体21を弾性力を介して圧接させる構成になっている。
このような構成にすることにより、通常の状態では、コイルスプリング23の圧縮力によって中継ぎ体21の凹部21cに支持台20の凸部20dが嵌合する状態を維持しているので、ランプ部3は水平に保持されているが、不測なことで突発的で大きな衝撃力がランプ部3に加わり、コイルスプリング23の圧縮力に勝る力が加わった場合、支持台20に対して中継ぎ体21が回動し、支持台20の凸部20dから中継ぎ体21の凹部21cがぬけだす結果、ランプ部3も一緒に回動することになる。

従って、ランプ部3が回動する衝撃力の大きさは、ランプ部3が破損してしまわない範囲に設定してあるので、ランプ部3が破損してしまうのを回動することで回避することができる構成となっている。また、回動してしまっても元の状態に回動操作することによって、元の状態に復帰させることができ、非常に信頼性の高い構成となってある。
