Description
イオントフォレシスデバイスの陽極及び陰極材料として、それぞれスクリーン印刷された亜鉛及び塩化銀を使用した。亜鉛電極は、一定の電荷投薬量を生じさせる既知の量の亜鉛を使用して作製した。陽極の構成は、図2(a)及び2(b)に断面図及び平面図で示す。既知の量の亜鉛及び抵抗性結合材を含む厚いフィルムペーストを銀伝導層に印刷した。動作においては、上述のように電流の通過中に亜鉛が消耗した後、基板導電層の露出部分が酸化し、電極との電気結合を切断する。
測定した電極容量平均11.3mA分(10.6〜12.1mA分、sd 0.49)
放電時間平均36分(23〜70分、sd 13.8)
フェンタニル送達試験の結果は、図4及び5のグラフに示す。
Claims (14)
- 活性治療種の経皮投薬のためのイオントフォレシスデバイスに組み込まれた電気回路で使用するのに適切な、層状の電極アセンブリであって、
(a)酸化又は還元による水の消耗に対して優先的に電気化学的に消耗される連結導電基板材料を少なくとも部分的に含む基板層と、
(b)犠牲電極材料が該基板層の該連結導電基板材料の消耗より前に電気化学的に消耗される、該基板層の第1部分を被覆する犠牲電極材料の第1上層と、
(c)該第1上層から離間され、該連結導電基板材料の幅狭の連結領域がそれとの間の露出連結領域として残り、該基板層の該露出連結領域が該基板層を通って延びている、該基板層の第2部分を被覆する非導電材料の第2上層とを含み、
(d)該電極アセンブリをイオントフォレシスデバイスの回路内でその動作中に使用するとき、消耗は犠牲電極材料の該第1上層が該露出連結領域より前に消耗されるよう順序付けられており、該露出連結領域の消耗は、該電極アセンブリの電気回路の連続性を切断して遮断し、該デバイスのイオントフォレシス活動を停止する、上記電極アセンブリ。 - 前記基板層の下に非電気伝導基板層をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のイオントフォレシスデバイスのための電極アセンブリ。
- 前記基板層と前記第1上層の間に導電性の非反応層をさらに含む、請求項1または2に記載のイオントフォレシスデバイスのための電極アセンブリ。
- 犠牲電極材料の前記第1上層の量の、導電基板材料の前記露出連結領域の量に対する割合が、20対1から1000対1の間である、請求項1に記載の電極アセンブリ。
- 前記電極アセンブリが皮膚装着イオントフォレシスデバイス内に収容され、前記デバイスが前記連結領域の反応状態を観察するための目視用表示器をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の電極アセンブリ。
- 前記目視用表示器が、活性治療種が消耗されると前記導電基板材料が観察可能に変色することを含む、請求項5に記載の電極アセンブリ。
- 前記イオントフォレシスデバイスが不透明の上層を含み、前記目視用表示器が前記不透明の上層の開口を通して中を見ることができる、請求項5または6に記載の電極アセンブリ。
- 前記イオントフォレシスデバイスが、目視用表示器を露出させる透明な上層を含む、請求項5または6に記載の電極アセンブリ。
- 前記基板層が複数の導電材料を含む、請求項1に記載の電極アセンブリ。
- 電気化学的消耗が酸化によって行われる、請求項1に記載の電極アセンブリ。
- 前記露出連結領域が銀を含む、請求項1に記載の電極アセンブリ。
- 前記目視用表示器の前記活性種が銀を含む、請求項6に記載の電極アセンブリ。
- 前記基板層が金及び炭素を含む群から選択される材料を含む、請求項1に記載の電極アセンブリ。
- 前記第1上層の前記犠牲材料が亜鉛を含み、前記基板層連結導電基板材料が銀を含む、請求項13に記載のイオントフォレシスデバイスのための電極アセンブリ。
