Description
4組の手抄きシートを作った。1つの組は製紙紙料から作り、リサイクルしたまたは添加した製紙スラッジは含まない。紙料とスラッジの乾燥固体重量に基づき、それぞれ、製紙紙料と50ポンドまたは100ポンドの製紙スラッジ(未処理)を含むパルプから手抄きシートの1組を作った。紙料とスラッジの乾燥固体重量に基づき、それぞれ、製紙紙料と製紙紙料1トン当たりミョウバン処理スラッジ50ポンドまたは100ポンドの製紙スラッジを含む製紙用パルプから手抄きシートの別の1組を作った。ミョウバン処理スラッジは、スラッジおよびミョウバン溶液の乾燥固体重量に基づき、スラッジ1トン当たり20ポンドのミョウバン溶液を含んでいた。紙料と酵素処理スラッジの乾燥固体重量に基づき、それぞれ、製紙紙料と50ポンドまたは100ポンドの酵素処理スラッジを含む製紙用パルプから手抄きシートの第4の1組を作った。酵素処理スラッジは、酵素溶液およびスラッジの乾燥固体重量に基づき、スラッジ1トン当たり1ポンドの酵素溶液で処理した製紙スラッジから成っていた。酵素溶液はバックマン・ラボラトリーズ・インターナショナル社(テネシー州メンフィス)から購入できるビューザイム(BUZYME)(商標)であり、約10重量%のセルラーゼ酵素(セルラーゼ50000)を含んでいた。酵素処理スラッジはまた、ミョウバン溶液と製紙用紙料の乾燥固体重量に基づき、製紙用紙料1トン当たりミョウバン溶液20ポンドを含んでいた。
本実施例では、新しく得た合成スラッジ試料を、リパーゼとスラッジの乾燥固体重量に基づき、スラッジ1トン当たり、それぞれ、約1ポンド〜約4ポンドのリパーゼで処理した。スラッジの処理を30分間続けた後、スラッジと繊維の乾燥重量に基づき、リサイクル繊維1トン当たり処理スラッジ10ポンドの割合で処理スラッジを製紙用パルプと混合した。それぞれの混合したパルプスラリーを製紙用紙料1トン当たりASAサイジング5〜15ポンドの間でサイジングした。ASAサイジング材料は、ポリマーで乳化させた。得られたパルプを手抄きシートに調製し、各シートについて水滴測定を行った。水滴試験は、シートに1滴の水滴を落とし、水滴がシートに吸着する時間を測定する標準TAPPI法である。水滴がシートに吸着されるのにかかる時間を結果として記録する。下の表2および3に示すように、また図1〜4に図示するように、それぞれ得られる手抄きシートのサイジングは、それぞれのサイジング材料の濃度が増加するに連れてリパーゼ処理を増加させながら、それぞれの得られる手抄きシートのサイジングが増加した。
Claims (3)
- 紙または板紙製品のサイジングを改良する方法であって、
製紙用スラッジを酵素組成物と混合して酵素処理スラッジを作り、
酵素処理スラッジを製紙用パルプと混合して処理パルプを作り、
処理パルプから、酵素組成物で処理したスラッジを含まない同質の紙または板紙製品のサイジングと比べて改良されたサイジングを有する紙または板紙製品を作る
工程を備え、
酵素組成物が、少なくとも1つのポリアミドオリゴマーと少なくとも1つのセルロース分解酵素とを含む方法。 - 紙または板紙製品のサイジングを改良する方法であって、
製紙用スラッジを酵素組成物と混合して酵素処理スラッジを作り、
該酵素組成物は、少なくとも1つのプロテアーゼ、エステラーゼまたはリパーゼを含み、
酵素処理スラッジを製紙用パルプと混合して処理パルプを作り、
処理パルプから、酵素組成物で処理したスラッジを含まない同質の紙または板紙製品のサイジングと比べて改良されたサイジングを有する紙または板紙製品を作る
工程を備える方法。 - 少なくとも以下のいずれか一である請求項2記載の方法であって;
1)製紙用パルプが、サイジング材料を含む、
2)製紙用パルプが、ASAサイジング乳化物を含む、
3)改良されたサイジングが、サイジング材料の改良された保持を含む、
4)改良されたサイジングが、サイズ戻りへの改良された抵抗性を含む、
5)酵素組成物が、セルロース分解活性を有する、
6)酵素組成物が、セルロース分解とヘミセルロース分解の両方の活性を有する、
7)酵素組成物が、リパーゼ活性を有する、
方法。
