Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a shock absorber oil composition for automobiles, and more particularly to a shock absorber oil composition for automobiles used particularly for automobile suspensions (suspension devices).
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a shock absorber used for effectively absorbing vibration, for example, a shock absorber used for a vehicle suspension system, an engine support device, a bumper support device, etc. Widely used. The structure is basically a cylindrical structure utilizing the flow resistance of oil. A bush that doubles as a guide is inserted in the sliding portion of the cylinder and the piston rod, and sealed to prevent oil leakage. Various types of shock absorbers such as a double tube type and a gas-filled type are known.
[0003]
By the way, a shock absorber is a functional component that plays an important role in maneuverability, stability, and riding comfort among suspension components. In particular, although it plays an important role with respect to riding comfort during highway driving, there are various problems at present. That is, when the shock absorber is operated for a long time with a small amplitude when traveling on a highway, the oil seal becomes poorly lubricated and the frictional force increases. Moreover, although the oil temperature of the shock absorber during normal running is 40 to 80 ° C., it may rise to 100 to 120 ° C. during running in midsummer. When operated for a long time in such an environment, the oil is subjected to thermal oxidative deterioration and the frictional characteristics are deteriorated. Accordingly, there is a need for a shock absorber oil that exhibits excellent friction characteristics even under conditions where a fine amplitude is applied, and also has good durability at high temperatures.
[0004]
JP-A-4-41594, JP-A-5-65491, and JP-A-5-70788 disclose buffer oils in which polymethacrylate is added to a base oil, but the above problems are solved. It has not been.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention has been made from the above viewpoint, and provides an automotive shock absorber oil composition that exhibits excellent friction characteristics even under conditions where a slight amplitude is applied, and also has good durability in friction characteristics at high temperatures. It is intended to do.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a result of intensive studies to solve the above problems, the present inventor has found that the object of the present invention can be effectively achieved by using polymethacrylate and sarcosine together as an additive, and has completed the present invention. It is a thing.
That is, the present invention relates to a base oil having a kinematic viscosity at 40 ° C. of 3.5 to 8.0 mm 2 / s, based on the total amount of the composition, (a) 5 to 20% by weight of polymethacrylate, and (b) be those sarcosine by blending 0.1 to 1.0 wt% and a kinematic viscosity at 20 ° C. is 19~24mm 2 / s, and kinematic viscosity at -20 ° C. is not more than 200 mm 2 / s The present invention provides a shock absorber oil composition for automobiles.
[0007]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is described in detail below.
Mineral oil and / or synthetic oil is used as the base oil constituting the automotive shock absorber oil composition of the present invention. About this mineral oil and synthetic oil, the kinematic viscosity in 40 degreeC needs to exist in the range of 3.5-8.0 mm < 2 > / s from the necessity to adapt to the damping force requested | required of a buffer. Preferably it is the range of 4.0-6.5 mm < 2 > / s. The pour point, which is an index of low temperature fluidity of the base oil, is not particularly limited, but is preferably −10 ° C. or lower.
[0008]
There are various kinds of such mineral oils and synthetic oils, and may be appropriately selected according to the use. As mineral oil, for example, distillate obtained by subjecting paraffin-based crude oil, intermediate-based crude oil or naphthenic-based crude oil to atmospheric distillation, or distilling the residual oil of atmospheric distillation under reduced pressure, or using this as a conventional method Therefore, refined oils obtained by refining, for example, solvent refined oil, hydrogenated refined oil, dewaxed oil, and clay-treated oil can be exemplified.
[0009]
On the other hand, as synthetic oil, for example, poly α-olefin (PAO), α-olefin copolymer, polybutene, alkylbenzene, polyol ester, dibasic acid ester, polyoxyalkylene glycol, polyoxyalkylene glycol ester, polyoxyalkylene glycol ether, A silicone oil etc. can be mentioned. Of the synthetic oils, PAO is preferred.
These base oils can be used alone or in combination of two or more kinds, and mineral oil and synthetic oil may be used in combination.
[0010]
Next, (a) polymethacrylate and (b) sarcosine blended in the above base oil will be described.
There are non-dispersion type and dispersion type polymethacrylates having the following structure.
[0011]
[Chemical 1]
[0012]
(In the formula, R 1 is an alkyl group having about 1 to 18 carbon atoms.)
[0013]
[Chemical formula 2]
[0014]
(In the formula, R 1 is an alkyl group having about 1 to 18 carbon atoms, R 2 is H or CH 3 , and X is a polar group such as amine, amide, ester, sulfonic acid, etc.)
From the viewpoint of the effect for the purpose of the present invention, a dispersion type is preferable, and a dispersion type prepared by graft polymerization is more preferable.
The weight average molecular weight of the polymethacrylate is preferably 30,000 to 60,000. If it is less than 30,000, it may not reach the lower limit of 19 mm 2 / s (20 ° C.) of the optimum viscosity range of the buffer oil for automobiles. If it exceeds 60,000, the shear stability of the buffer oil for automobiles is deteriorated and the viscosity is lowered, and there is a possibility that the optimum damping force cannot be obtained.
[0015]
The said polymethacrylate can be used 1 type or in combination of 2 or more types, The compounding quantity is the range of 5-20 weight% on the basis of the composition whole quantity. If it is less than 5% by weight, the wettability of the chrome plating on the rod surface of the shock absorber is not improved, so the object of the present invention is not sufficiently achieved. If it exceeds 20% by weight, it may exceed the upper limit of 24 mm 2 / s (20 ° C.) of the optimum viscosity range of the buffer oil for automobiles. Preferably, it is in the range of 7 to 15% by weight.
[0016]
Sarcosine is another name for N-methylglycine and is a kind of amino acid. The blending amount is in the range of 0.1 to 1.0% by weight based on the total amount of the composition. If it is less than 0.1% by weight, the frictional force between the seal rubber and the chrome plating is not sufficiently improved, so that the object of the present invention is not sufficiently achieved. If it exceeds 1.0% by weight, non-ferrous parts (copper, etc.) of the shock absorber will be eluted. Preferably, it is 0.2 to 0.6% by weight.
[0017]
Automotive shock absorber oil composition described above, and the basic characteristic (attenuation characteristic) of the shock absorber oil, 20 kinematic viscosity 19~24mm 2 / s at ° C., -20 kinematic viscosity at ° C. is 200 mm 2 / s It is essential that:
[0018]
Moreover, although the buffer oil composition for motor vehicles of this invention is obtained by mix | blending (a) and (b) component with base oil, in order to maintain the basic performance as buffer oil normally. An antioxidant, an ashless detergent / dispersant, a metal deactivator, an antifoaming agent, a friction modifier, an extreme pressure agent, and the like can be appropriately blended within a range not impairing the object of the present invention.
[0019]
Examples of the antioxidant include phenolic compounds, amine compounds, carbamate compounds, and the compounding amount is usually 0.05 to 2% by weight based on the total amount of the composition.
Examples of the ashless detergent / dispersant include alkenyl succinimide, benzylamine, polyoxyalkylene amide, fatty acid amide and the like, and the blending amount is usually 0.1 to 7% by weight based on the total amount of the composition.
Examples of the metal deactivator include benzotriazole and thiadiazole, and the blending amount is usually 0.005 to 1% by weight based on the total amount of the composition.
[0020]
Examples of the antifoaming agent include dimethylpolysiloxane, polyacrylate and the like, and the blending amount is usually 0.0005 to 1% by weight based on the total amount of the composition.
Examples of the friction modifier include fatty acids and organomolybdenum compounds, and the blending amount is usually 0.1 to 1.0% by weight based on the total amount of the composition.
Examples of extreme pressure agents include sulfurized fats and oils, polysulfide, zinc dithiophosphate, and the like, and the blending amount is usually 0.1 to 1.0% by weight based on the total amount of the composition.
[0021]
