Claims (7)
- 全ての燃焼室に対する排気マニホルドと吸気マニホルド、内燃機関の出力に関係して段階的にその排気ガスタービンが排気マニホルドに接続および遮断できる複数の排気駆動式過給機および排気駆動式過給機の圧縮機に前置して直列接続され別個の電動機で駆動される給気送風機を備えた過給式内燃機関において、全ての排気駆動式過給機(14、15、16)が、その圧縮機(28)の入口側に、夫々弁装置(26、27)を経て給気送風機(31)の出口への配管接続部(32)を有し、段階的に運転する際に追加すべき各1つの排気駆動式過給機の弁装置(26、27)を単独で開放すべく必要情報を記憶したコンピュータ(19)が設けられ、全ての弁装置(26、27)が、それに対応した排気駆動式過給機の回転数と吸気マニホルド圧に応じて、大気と給気送風機(31)で圧縮された給気とを反比例的に制御することを特徴とする過給式内燃機関。
- 加速走行時の給気送風機(31)の運転が、コンピュータ(19)により、段階的に使用される全排気駆動式過給機(14、15、16)の切換順序に従い、各々該当する各1つの排気駆動式過給機の始動範囲に限定されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の内燃機関。
- 減速走行時の給気送風機(31)の運転が、コンピュータ(19)により、段階的に使用される全排気駆動式過給機(14、15、16)の切換順序に従い、各々該当する各1つの排気駆動式過給機の始動範囲に相応する範囲に限定されることを特徴とする請求項2記載の内燃機関。
- 各排気駆動式過給機(14、15、16)に、それらを個々に独立して運転開始するために、コンピュータ(19)で制御される排気ガス弁(18)が付属され、該弁(18)が、給気弁(27)および大気弁(26)と同様に比例弁として形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1から3の1つに記載の内燃機関。
- 運転範囲を一様に段階づけるために、6〜10台の同形の排気駆動式過給機(14、15、16)が設けられたことを特徴とする請求項1から4の1つに記載の内燃機関。
- 給気送風機(31)の別個の電動機(34)が、その駆動エネルギを車載バッテリ(35)から受け取ることを特徴とする請求項1から5の1つに記載の内燃機関。
- 圧縮比を約8:1に減少したディーゼルエンジンとして形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1から6の1つに記載の内燃機関。
