従来より丸形オープンドラム缶の蓋の周縁と容器開放口周縁のフランジ等、丸形のフランジ部同士を連結・緊締するために、例えば、U字状又はV字状の断面を持ち半円弧状を呈する一対のバンド本体を具備した緊締バンドが用いられている。この様な緊締バンドには、当該一対のバンド本体をそれらの締結端(開放不能に連結する端部)を以て揺動可能に繋ぎ止める為のボルト式連結手段と、当該一対のバンド本体をそれらの開閉端(開放可能に連結する端部)を以て連結するためのラッチ式連結手段を具備するものがあり、当該緊締バンドを丸形オープンドラム缶の容器に被せられた蓋に装着し、前記ラッチ式連結手段を以て前記緊締バンドを閉じた後、前記連結手段の締結ボルトに対する締結ナットの締め具合を操作し前記一対のバンド本体における締結端同士を相互に引き寄せる(緊締バンドの径を縮める)ことによって、蓋と容器の閉鎖強度及び容器の密閉性等を調整し得る構造となっている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、従来の緊締バンドにおいては、前記締結ボルトを交換するについての配慮がなされておらず、その交換に多大な手間をかけることとなる。例えば、図6や図7の如くT字状の締結ボルト31にT字状の仲介パイプ32を装着し締結ナット33の締め付けによって前記締結ボルト31と仲介パイプ32各々の頭部の離隔長を制限する連結手段36を用いる場合、一対の軸承部37,37を各バンド本体38,38の締結端に設け、前記締結ボルト31及び仲介パイプ32の頭部の側向凸軸34,35を各々揺動可能に枢支する形が採られており、同時にこの枢支状態が容易に解除されないような強度が前記軸承部37,37に付与されている。この強度が前記締結ボルト31の交換を妨げる要素となり、具体的には、前記締結ボルト31と仲介パイプ32の頭部に形成された側向凸軸34,35を前記軸承部37,37から容易に外せない構造としているのである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明による緊締バンドの実施の形態を丸形オープンドラム缶の開放口に用いる場合の例に基づき説明する。
図3(イ)に示す第1の実施の形態は、緊締作用部1にU字状の断面を持ち円弧状を呈するバンド本体2と、当該バンド本体2をその端部を以てリング状に閉じる連結手段3とで構成されている。

当該バンド本体2は、図5の如く蓋10の周縁と容器開放口周縁のフランジ11に対して同時に加圧する一対の緊締作用部1,1と、当該緊締作用部1,1の外周を円周状に覆う形で固着された有端リング状のバンド部12とで構成されている。バンド部12は、前記連結手段3の機能によってその径が拡大或いは縮小され(以下、これを緊締作用と記す。)固着一体化された前記当該緊締作用部1,1に対しその径を拡大或いは縮小するように働きかける。この実施の形態における緊締作用部1,1は、各々が図3に示すように半円周状を呈し二部材を以て前記蓋10の周縁と容器開放口周縁を覆うこととなる。こうすることによって当該緊締バンドを変形させるについて大きな力を加える必要が無くなりドラム缶開放口への当該緊締バンドの装着が容易となるが、円周状の緊締作用部1一部材を以て前記蓋10の周縁と容器開放口周縁を覆う構造としても良い。当該緊締作用部1の内面には、前記蓋10の周縁と容器開放口周縁のフランジ11とを当該緊締作用部1の径の拡大或いは縮小によって近接させ更には密着させる様に誘導すべく、緊締作用部1が呈するリング状の外側へいくに従って狭くなるようなカーブ或いはスロープが設けられている(図5参照)。

前記のごとくバンド本体2に対し前記緊締作用を生じさせる連結手段3は、前記バンド部12の両端に設けられた二点支持の軸承部13,13を以て支持されている。当該軸承部13,13は、連結手段3が容易に装着でき、且つ緊締作用を奏せしめる妨げと成らないように中央部間隙14(図2参照)を比較的長くとった二股状となっており、当該バンド部12を構成する金属製帯体の端部に長円形の抜き穴を設け、当該抜き穴の中央部を以てバンド部12の長手方向へ、その屈曲部15に軸受けとしての適当な丸みを確保しつつ折り返すことにより形成されている。

以上の如く本発明による連結手段や緊締バンドを使用すれば、締結ボルトを切断しなければ交換出来ないというT字状一体型の締結ボルトを用いた従来の緊締バンドと比較して短時間で楽に締結ボルトを抜き取ることが出来るので、定期的な締結ボルト及び締結ナットのネジ山点検の際にネジ山が損傷した締結ボルト及び締結ナットを交換する作業も極めて容易なものとなり、交換の容易さが保守管理の質向上にも寄与して前記点検作業に要する時間も大きく短縮され、ドラム缶の密閉状態の信頼性も大きく向上する。
