The present invention relates to a banknote image detection device used when discriminating banknotes.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a technique related to a banknote image detection device used when discriminating, for example, authenticity, denomination, and fouling of banknotes, light is emitted toward the banknotes from a light emitting unit arranged on one side with respect to the banknote transport path, Light that is detected by the light receiving unit arranged on the opposite side of the bill conveyance path and light emitted from the light emitting unit arranged on one side of the bill conveyance path of the light emitting / receiving unit toward the bill However, there is one in which the reflected light is detected by the light receiving unit of the simultaneous light receiving unit (for example, see Patent Document 1). Moreover, the technique regarding the image sensor module used for such a banknote image detection apparatus is also disclosed (for example, refer patent document 2).
[0003]
[Patent Document 1]

[Patent Document 2]
Japanese Patent No. 3099077
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In order to increase the accuracy of discrimination of banknotes for authenticity, denomination and fouling, etc., discrimination is made for each of the image on the front and back direction of the banknote, the image on the opposite side of the banknote and the transmission image on the front and back of the banknote. However, when such a determination is made, if the banknote image detection device disclosed in Patent Document 1 is used, an image on one side of the front and back direction of the banknote is detected. A first light emitting and receiving unit having a first image detection sensor and a first light emitter, and a second image detection sensor and a second light emitter for detecting an image on the opposite side of the bill A second light emitting / receiving unit having a light emitting unit, a light emitting unit having a third light emitter for detecting the transmitted images of the front and back of the banknote, and a light receiving unit having a third image detection sensor are required. Three for Cost for the image detection sensor is provided there is a problem that increases.
[0005]
Therefore, an object of this invention is to provide the banknote image detection apparatus which can reduce cost.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the invention according to claim 1 is arranged opposite to the first image detection sensor and the first image detection sensor across the banknote transport path and is transported in the banknote transport path. A first light emitting means for irradiating light of one wavelength region toward the banknote to be transmitted and detecting transmitted light of the light through the banknote by the first image detection sensor; and The first image detection is performed by irradiating light of a plurality of different wavelength regions toward a bill that is provided on the same side as the one image detection sensor and is transported by the bill transport path, and detects reflected light from the bill of the light. A second light-emitting means to be detected by a sensor; a second image detection sensor provided on the opposite side of the first image detection sensor with respect to the banknote transport path; The banknote is disposed opposite to the image detection sensor 2 A third light that irradiates light of a wavelength region different from that of the first light emitting unit toward the bill conveyed on the feeding path and detects the transmitted light of the light through the bill by the second image detection sensor. The light emitting means and the bill transport path are provided on the same side as the second image detection sensor and are irradiated with light in a plurality of different wavelength regions toward the bill transported in the bill transport path. A fourth light emitting means for detecting the reflected light from the banknote by the second image detection sensor; , Have Paper Money image detector An image sensor for detecting an image of a first detection area set on one side of the unit main body, one light emitting means for irradiating light toward the first detection area, and the unit main body Other light emitting means for irradiating light toward the second detection area set at a position different from the first detection area on the one side has the same configuration configured by being arranged in the unit main body. A pair of detection units, the image sensor of one of the detection units can detect an image of the second detection area of the other detection unit, and the image sensors are opposite to each other in the banknote transport direction of the banknote transport path. The first image detection sensor is connected to the other detection unit by the image sensor of the one detection unit. The other light emitting means, the first light emitting means of the one detection unit, the second light emitting means, and the image detection sensor of the other detection unit, the second light emitting means. The image detection sensor comprises the third light emitting means with the other light emitting means of the one detection unit, and the fourth light emitting means with the one light emitting means of the other detection unit. The second detection from the distance from one end of the unit body in the banknote transport direction of the banknote transport path to the first detection area and the other end of the unit body in the banknote transport direction of the banknote transport path. The distance to the area is set equal It is characterized by that.
[0007]
Thereby, when the light of one wavelength region is irradiated toward the banknote on the banknote transport path by the first light emitting means, the first image detection sensor disposed opposite to the banknote transport path sandwiches the transmitted light on the banknote. That is, the front and back transmission images are detected. Moreover, when the 2nd light emission means arrange | positioned on the same side as this 1st image detection sensor with respect to a banknote conveyance path irradiates the light of a several different wavelength area | region toward the banknote of a banknote conveyance path, the reflected light That is, the first image detection sensor detects a reflected image on one side in the front-back direction. Furthermore, the first light emitting means is directed toward the banknote in the banknote transport path by the third light emitting means facing the second image detection sensor provided on the opposite side of the first image detection sensor with respect to the banknote transport path. When light of another wavelength region different from the above is irradiated, the second image detection sensor detects the transmitted light in this bill, that is, the front and back transmitted images. In addition, the second image detection sensor and the second arranged on the same side with respect to the bill conveyance path 4 When the light emitting means emits light of a plurality of different wavelength regions toward the banknote on the banknote conveyance path, the second image detection sensor detects the reflected light, that is, the reflected image on the opposite side in the front-back direction. Thereby, the image of the front and back direction side of a banknote, the image of the reverse side of a banknote, and the transmission image of the front and back of a banknote can each be detected about the time of irradiating the light of a several wavelength range. As a result, the discrimination accuracy can be increased. As described above, only two image detection sensors, the first image detection sensor and the second image detection sensor, are required.
[0008]
The invention according to claim 2 is the invention according to claim 1, wherein the first light emitting means emits light of the one wavelength region at a predetermined timing, and the second light emitting means emits a plurality of different wavelength regions. Are emitted at different timings and at timings different from those of the first light emitting means, and the first image detection sensor is synchronized with each light emission of the first light emitting means and the second light emitting means. A first capture control unit that captures the plurality of image data detected in step 1 into a first image memory region, and light in the other wavelength region is emitted from the third light emitting unit at a predetermined timing. The light emitting means emits light of a plurality of different wavelength regions at different timings and at different timings from the third light emitting means. And second capture control means for capturing a plurality of image data detected by the second image detection sensor into the second image memory area in synchronization with each light emission of the fourth light emitting means. It is characterized by.
[0009]
As a result, the first capture control means causes the first light emitting means to emit light in one wavelength region, and the second light emitting means emits light in a plurality of different wavelength regions at different timings. Light is emitted at a timing different from that of the light emitting means, and image data is detected by the first image detecting sensor in synchronization with each light emission of the first light emitting means and the second light emitting means, and the first image detecting sensor While the plurality of detected image data is captured into the first image memory area, the second capture control means causes the third light emitting means to emit light in a different wavelength region from the first light emitting means, The fourth light emitting means emits light of a plurality of different wavelength regions at different timings and at different timings from the third light emitting means, and the third light emitting means and the fourth light emitting means. To detect the image data by the second image detection sensor in synchronization to each light emission capturing a plurality of image data detected by the second image detection sensor of the second image memory area. Thus, the first image detection sensor is provided with the first capture control means and the second image detection sensor is provided with the second capture control means. The detection timing of the image of the second image detection sensor can be superimposed on the detection timing of the image data of the sensor.
[0010]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the second aspect of the invention, the first capture control unit and the second capture control unit are configured to detect the second capture timing of the first image detection sensor. It is characterized in that the image detection timings of the image detection sensors are overlapped.
[0011]
In this way, since the detection timing of the image of the second image detection sensor can be superimposed on the detection timing of the image of the first image detection sensor, a larger amount of data can be stored for a bill that moves at the same transport speed. Note that light of two different wavelength regions emitted by the first light emitter 31 (31X) and the third light emitter 31 (31Y) and light of two different wavelength regions emitted by the second light emitter 27 (27X) The light of the two different wavelength regions emitted by the fourth light emitter 27 (27Y) is any two of one visible light such as RGB, ultraviolet light, and infrared light, and all have the same combination. It has become.
[0058]
Here, the first capture control means 43 and the second capture control means 45 superimpose the detection timings of all the images of the second CCD sensor 24 (24Y) on the detection timing of the image data of the first CCD sensor 24 (24X). Control the timing to match. In other words, since a plurality of image data cannot be detected simultaneously by the same CCD sensor, the detection timing is different for image data detected by the same CCD sensor, and the detection timing is adjusted for image data detected by different CCD sensors. It is.
[0059]
Specifically, as shown in FIG. 4 (FIG. 4 shows each light emission timing, and the hatched portion is the image detection timing), the first capture control means 43 includes the first light emitter 31 (31X ) Causes any one of RGB visible light to be emitted at a predetermined light emission timing, and image data is detected by the first CCD sensor 24 (24X) at a detection timing synchronized with the light emission of the first light emitter 31 (31X). (See visible transmission in FIG. 4).
[0060]
In addition, the first capture control means 43 uses the second light emitter 27 (27X) to emit any one of RGB visible light and infrared light at different light emission timings and to emit light from the first light emitter 31 (31X). Image data is detected by the first CCD sensor 24 (24X) at a detection timing synchronized with each light emission of the second light emitter 27 (27X) while emitting light at different light emission timings (visible reflection table and infrared reflection table in FIG. 4). reference). By the above, the transmission image data of the visible light banknote front and back, the reflection image data of the visible light banknote front / back direction side, and the infrared light reflection image data of the banknote front / back side side are obtained.

Further, the first capture control means 43 emits light of one wavelength region from the first light emitter 31 (31X), and a plurality of specifically, two different wavelength regions from the second light emitter 27 (27X). The light is emitted at a different light emission timing and at a light emission timing different from that of the first light emitter 31 (31X), and detection is synchronized with each light emission of the first light emitter 31 (31X) and the second light emitter 27 (27X). While the image data is detected by the first CCD sensor 24 (24X) at the timing and a plurality of specifically three image data detected by the first CCD sensor 24 (24X) are taken into the first image memory area of the

[0067]
In addition, the first light emitter 31 (31X) and the third light emitter 31 (31Y), the second light emitter 27 (27X), and the fourth light emitter 27 (27Y) are visible light, infrared, respectively. Since only two of the light and ultraviolet light are irradiated, the difference between the image data can be emphasized. Therefore, the discrimination accuracy can be further improved.

Next, the banknote image detection apparatus of 2nd Embodiment of this invention is demonstrated below centering on a different part from 1st Embodiment with reference to FIGS. In addition, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected to the part similar to 1st Embodiment, and the description is abbreviate | omitted.
[0070]
In the first embodiment, the first capture control means 43 and the second capture control means 45 are used. However, in the second embodiment, as shown in FIG. Used. That is, the capture control means 47 of the second embodiment emits only light in one wavelength region from the first light emitter 31 (31X), for example, by driving the
[0071]
At the same time, the capture control means 47 of the second embodiment uses the first CCD sensor 24 (24X) at the detection timing synchronized with each light emission of the first light emitter 31 (31X) and the second light emitter 27 (27X). A plurality of, specifically three, image data detected and AD-converted by the
[0072]
Thus, since the capture control means 47 is single, the detection timing of the image data of the first CCD sensor 24 (24X) and the detection timing of the image data of the second CCD sensor 24 (24Y) are all shifted. Control timing.
[0073]
Specifically, as shown in FIG. 6 (FIG. 6 shows each light emission timing, and the hatched portion is the image detection timing), the capture control means 47 is controlled by the first light emitter 31 (31X). One visible light of RGB is emitted at a predetermined light emission timing, and image data is detected by the first CCD sensor 24 (24X) at a detection timing synchronized with light emission of the first light emitter 31 (31X) (FIG. See Visible Transmission in 6).
[0074]
Further, the capture control means 47 emits light of any one of RGB visible light and infrared light by the second light emitter 27 (27X) at different light emission timings and different from the light emission of the first light emitter 31 (31X). The first CCD sensor 24 (24X) detects the image data at the detection timing synchronized with each light emission of the second light emitter 27 (27X) (see the visible reflection table and the infrared reflection table in FIG. 6). . By the above, the transmission image data of the visible light banknote front and back, the reflection image data of the visible light banknote front / back direction side, and the infrared light reflection image data of the banknote front / back side side are obtained.
[0075]
Further, the capture control means 47 emits infrared light from the third light emitter 31 (31Y) at a predetermined light emission timing, and for all light emission of the first light emitter 31 (31X) and the second light emitter 27 (27X). The image data is detected by the second CCD sensor 24 (24Y) at the detection timing synchronized with the light emission of the third light emitter 31 (31Y) because the light is emitted at a different light emission timing (see infrared transmission in FIG. 6).
[0076]
In addition, the capture control means 47 uses the fourth light emitter 27 (27Y) to change any one of RGB visible light and infrared light at different light emission timings, the first light emitter 31 (31X), and the second light emission. The second CCD sensor 24 (24Y) is caused to emit light at a light emission timing different from the total light emission of the body 27 (27X) and the third light emitter 31 (31Y) and at a detection timing synchronized with each light emission of the fourth light emitter 27 (27Y). ) To detect the image data (see the visible reflection back and the infrared reflection back in FIG. 6). By the above, the transmission image data of the banknote front and back of infrared light, the reflection image data of the reverse side of the banknote front / back direction of visible light, and the reflection image data of the reverse side of the banknote front / back direction of infrared light are obtained.
[0077]
As described above, according to the banknote
[0078]
The control timing of the second embodiment described above can be changed as follows.
The first light emitter 31 (31X) and the second light emitter 27 (27X) related to the first CCD sensor 24 (24X) are set as the first light emission group, and the third light emitter 31 (31Y) related to the second CCD sensor 24 (24Y). ) And the fourth light emitter 27 (27Y) as the second light emitting group, the first light emitting group and the second light emitting group are controlled to emit light alternately for each group.
[0079]
Specifically, as shown in FIG. 7 (FIG. 7 shows each light emission timing, and the hatched portion is the image detection timing), the capture control means 47 is based on the first light emitter 31 (31X). Light emission at a predetermined light emission timing of any one of RGB visible light, detection of image data by the first CCD sensor 24 (24X) at a detection timing synchronized therewith (see visible transmission in FIG. 7), and second light emission Light emission at a predetermined light emission timing of any one visible light of RGB by the body 27 (27X) and detection of image data by the first CCD sensor 24 (24X) at a detection timing synchronized therewith (visible reflection table in FIG. 7) And the first CC at the detection timing synchronized with the light emission at the predetermined light emission timing of the infrared light by the second light emitter 27 (27X). Three first groups consisting of detection of image data by the sensor 24 (24X) (see the infrared reflection table in FIG. 7), and a predetermined emission timing of infrared light by the third light emitter 31 (31Y) Detection of image data by the second CCD sensor 24 (24Y) at the detection timing synchronized with light emission (see infrared transmission in FIG. 7) and any one visible light of RGB by the fourth light emitter 27 (27Y) The light emission at the predetermined light emission timing and the detection of image data by the second CCD sensor 24 (24Y) at the detection timing synchronized with the light emission (see the back of the visible reflection in FIG. 7), and the red light by the fourth light emitter 27 (27Y) Light emission at a predetermined light emission timing of external light and detection of image data by the second CCD sensor 24 (24Y) at a detection timing synchronized with this ( 7), and the second group, one of the first group, one of the second group, the remaining one of the first group, the remaining one of the second group, Light emission and image detection are performed in the order of the remaining one of the group and the remaining one of the second group.
[0080]
In this manner, as shown in FIG. 7, the first light emitter 31 (31X), the second light emitter 27 (27X), and the third light emission are performed without lengthening the time for all light emission and image detection. The light emission time of each of the body 31 (31Y) and the fourth light emitter 27 (27Y) can be increased. Therefore, the discrimination accuracy can be further increased.
[0081]
Next, the banknote image detection apparatus of 3rd Embodiment of this invention is demonstrated below centering on a different part from 1st Embodiment with reference to FIG. 8 and FIG. In addition, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected to the part similar to 1st Embodiment, and the description is abbreviate | omitted.
[0082]
In the first embodiment, each of the first light emitter 31 (31X) and the third light emitter 31 (31Y), the second light emitter 27 (27X), and the fourth light emitter 27 (27Y) includes two Although only light in different wavelength regions is emitted, in the third embodiment, each emits only light in three different wavelength regions.

The timing is controlled so as to overlap with the detection timing. That is, in this case as well, the detection timing is adjusted as much as possible for the image data detected by different CCD sensors.
[0086]
Specifically, as shown in FIG. 9 (FIG. 9 shows each light emission timing, and the hatched portion is the detection timing of the image), the first capture control means 43 includes the first light emitter 31 (31X ) Causes any one of RGB visible light to be emitted at a predetermined light emission timing, and image data is detected by the first CCD sensor 24 (24X) at a detection timing synchronized with the light emission of the first light emitter 31 (31X). (See visible transmission in FIG. 9).
[0087]
Further, the first capture control means 43 uses the second light emitter 27 (27X) to change any one of RGB visible light, infrared light, and ultraviolet light at different light emission timings, and also the first light emitter 31 (31X). The image data is detected by the first CCD sensor 24 (24X) at a detection timing synchronized with each light emission of the second light emitter 27 (27X) (the visible reflection table in FIG. 9, red). By the above, the transmission image data of the visible light banknote front and back, the reflection image data of the visible light banknote front and back direction, the infrared light banknote front and back direction reflection image data, and the ultraviolet light banknote front and back direction one side Side reflection image data is obtained.

And the transmission image data of the front and back of visible bills, the reflection image data of one side of the front and back direction of visible light, the reflection image data of one side of the front and back direction of the bill of infrared light, and the reflection image of one side of the front and back of the bill of ultraviolet light Regarding the data, the transmission image data on the front and back of the bill of infrared light, the transmission image data of the front and back of the bill of ultraviolet light, the reflection image data of the reverse side of the bill front and back direction of the visible light, and the reflection of the reverse side of the bill front and back of the infrared light The image data and the reflected image data on the opposite side of the front / back direction of the banknote of ultraviolet light are matched (the visible transmission and infrared transmission in FIG. 9 match the detection timing, the visible reflection table and the ultraviolet transmission) The points where the detection timing is matched, the point where the infrared reflection table and the visible reflection back match the detection timing, and the point where the ultraviolet reflection table and the infrared reflection back match the detection timing Irradiation).
[0091]
As described above, according to the banknote
[0092]
In addition, the first light emitter 31 (31X) and the third light emitter 31 (31Y), the second light emitter 27 (27X), and the fourth light emitter 27 (27Y) are visible light, infrared light, respectively. In addition, since irradiation with ultraviolet light is performed, the difference between the image data can be highlighted and the number of comparisons can be increased. Therefore, the discrimination accuracy can be further improved.
[0093]
Next, the banknote image detection apparatus of 4th Embodiment of this invention is demonstrated below centering on a different part from 3rd Embodiment with reference to FIGS. 10-12. In addition, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected to the part similar to 3rd Embodiment, and the description is abbreviate | omitted.

[0097]
Specifically, as shown in FIG. 11 (FIG. 11 shows each light emission timing, and the hatched portion is the image detection timing), the capture control means 47 is controlled by the first light emitter 31 (31X). One visible light of RGB is emitted at a predetermined light emission timing, and image data is detected by the first CCD sensor 24 (24X) at a detection timing synchronized with light emission of the first light emitter 31 (31X) (FIG. 11 see visible transmission).
[0098]
Further, the capture control means 47 uses the second light emitter 27 (27X) to emit any one of RGB visible light, infrared light, and ultraviolet light at different light emission timings and the light emission of the first light emitter 31 (31X). In addition, light is emitted at different light emission timings, and image data is detected by the second CCD sensor 24 (24Y) at a detection timing synchronized with the light emission of the third light emitter 31 (31Y) (see infrared transmission and ultraviolet transmission in FIG. 11).
[0100]
In addition, the capture control means 47 uses the fourth light emitter 27 (27Y) to emit any one of RGB visible light, infrared light, and ultraviolet light at different light emission timings, and the first light emitter 31 (31X), The

Detection of image data by the CCD sensor 24 (24X) (see the infrared reflection table in FIG. 7), emission of ultraviolet light by the second light emitter 27 (27X) at a predetermined emission timing, and detection timing synchronized with this. Predetermined first light emission timings of four first groups consisting of detection of image data by the first CCD sensor 24 (24X) (see the ultraviolet reflection table in FIG. 12) and the third light emitter 31 (31Y) And the detection of image data by the second CCD sensor 24 (24Y) at the detection timing synchronized with this (see the infrared transmission in FIG. 12), and the predetermined emission of ultraviolet light by the third light emitter 31 (31Y) Light emission at the timing and detection of image data by the second CCD sensor 24 (24Y) at the detection timing synchronized with this (in FIG. 12) UV light transmission), and the fourth light emitter 27 (27Y) emits any one visible light of RGB at a predetermined light emission timing, and the image data by the second CCD sensor 24 (24Y) at a detection timing synchronized therewith. Since the image detection sensors need only be the first image detection sensor and the second image detection sensor as described above, the cost can be reduced.
[0107]
According to the invention of claim 2, the first capture control unit emits light of one wavelength region from the first light emitting unit, and each of light of a plurality of different wavelength regions from the second light emitting unit. The light is emitted at a different timing and at a different timing from the first light emitting means, and the first image detecting sensor detects the image data in synchronization with each light emission of the first light emitting means and the second light emitting means. While the plurality of pieces of image data detected by the first image detection sensor are taken into the first image memory area, the second take-in control means has a different wavelength from the third light-emitting means to the first light-emitting means. The light of the region is emitted, and light of a plurality of different wavelength regions is emitted from the fourth light emitting unit at different timings and at different timings from the third light emitting unit. Capturing a plurality of image data detected by detecting the image data in the second image detection sensor of the respective synchronization with the second image detection sensor to each of the light of the fourth light-emitting unit in the second image memory area. Thus, the first image detection sensor is provided with the first capture control means and the second image detection sensor is provided with the second capture control means. The detection timing of the image of the second image detection sensor can be superimposed on the detection timing of the image data of the sensor. Therefore, more data can be detected for bills moving at the same transport speed, and the discrimination accuracy can be further improved.
[0108]
According to the invention which concerns on Claim 3, since the detection timing of the image of a 2nd image detection sensor can be superimposed on the detection timing of the image of a 1st image detection sensor, with respect to the banknote which moves at the same conveyance speed More data can be detected, and the discrimination accuracy can be further increased.
[0109]
According to the invention of claim 4, the single capture control unit emits light of one wavelength region from the first light emitting unit, and each of light of a plurality of different wavelength regions from the second light emitting unit. The first light emitting means and the second light emitting means emit light having different wavelength from the first light emitting means by emitting light at different timings and different timings from the first light emitting means. Emits light at different timings, and further emits light of a plurality of different wavelength regions from the fourth light emitting means at different timings and at different timings from the first light emitting means, the second light emitting means, and the third light emitting means. The plurality of image data detected by the first image detection sensor in synchronization with each light emission of the first light emission means and the second light emission means, and each light emission of the third light emission means and the fourth light emission means In Capturing a plurality of image data in the image memory region detected by the second image detection sensor with respective Re synchronization. Thus, since only one capture control means is required for the first image detection sensor and the second image detection sensor, the cost can be further reduced.
[0110]
According to the fifth aspect of the present invention, the first light emitting group including the first light emitting means and the second light emitting means according to the first image detection sensor, and the third light emission according to the second image detection sensor. And the second group consisting of the fourth light emitting means and the second light emitting means alternately emit light for each group, so that the first light emitting means and the second light emitting light are emitted without lengthening the time for all light emission and image detection. The light emission time of each of the means, the third light emitting means, and the fourth light emitting means can be extended. Therefore, the discrimination accuracy can be further increased.
[0111]
According to the invention of claim 6, each of the first light emitting means, the third light emitting means, the second light emitting means, and the fourth light emitting means emits light in two different wavelength regions. Therefore, the discrimination accuracy can be improved.
[0112]
According to the invention of claim 7, the first light emitting means, the third light emitting means, the second light emitting means, and the fourth light emitting means are respectively made of visible light, infrared light, and ultraviolet light. Since any two of the light beams are irradiated, the difference between the image data can be emphasized. Therefore, the discrimination accuracy can be further improved.
[0113]
According to the eighth aspect of the present invention, each of the first light emitting means, the third light emitting means, the second light emitting means, and the fourth light emitting means emits light in three different wavelength regions. Therefore, the discrimination accuracy can be further improved.
[0114]
According to the invention of claim 9, the first light emitting means, the third light emitting means, the second light emitting means, and the fourth light emitting means are each made of visible light, infrared light, and ultraviolet light. Since three lights are irradiated, the difference between the image data can be emphasized and the number of comparisons can be increased. Therefore, the discrimination accuracy can be further improved.
