Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an outboard motor clutch device that switches forward and backward by a hydraulic clutch mechanism.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In an outboard motor installed in a conventional small vessel, an engine as a drive source is installed in the housing at the top of the fuselage, and a propeller as a propulsion unit is attached to the lower case at the bottom of the fuselage and connected to the engine crankshaft. A shift conversion mechanism for switching the transmission of power to neutral, forward or reverse is installed between the drive shaft and the propeller shaft which is the rotation shaft of the propeller.
[0003]
In this shift conversion mechanism, the forward gear and the reverse gear, which are rotatably arranged on the propeller shaft, are meshed with the drive gear fixed to the lower end of the drive shaft, and are arranged between the forward gear and the reverse gear. By shifting the dog clutch to neutral, forward or reverse, the rotation of the forward gear or reverse gear that rotates in conjunction with the drive shaft is selectively transferred to the propeller shaft via the dog clutch. It is made to transmit or not transmit at all.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in such a conventional system, since the engine side and the propeller side of the shift conversion mechanism are instantaneously connected via the dog clutch, the shift from neutral is performed while the engine is idling. As soon as the shift operation is performed forward (or backward), the propeller that has been in a stopped state suddenly starts to rotate, including the propeller shaft, causing a shift shock such as impact and noise. Especially, the engine rotational force is stable. In such a four-cycle engine, such a shift shock becomes remarkable.
[0005]
As a countermeasure against this, it is conceivable to provide a hydraulic clutch in place of the dog clutch. At this time, a problem is how to configure a hydraulic pump for supplying hydraulic pressure to the hydraulic clutch.
[0006]
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a clutch device for an outboard motor in which a hydraulic pump for supplying hydraulic pressure to the hydraulic clutch is more effectively disposed.
[0007]

And a reverse hydraulic clutch mechanism for connecting or disconnecting the power transmission path is disposed on the power transmission path between the reverse gear and the propeller shaft, and the hydraulic pump is connected to the lower case. The oil supply path extending substantially vertically in the wall and the oil path provided in the front end portion of the propeller shaft and having an upstream end communicating with the downstream end of the oil supply path Connected to the hydraulic clutch mechanism, Oil discharged from, characterized in that it is selectively supplied to either the passage or forward oil supply passage reverse oil supply passage or the relief passage.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the first aspect of the present invention, the hydraulic pump is disposed in the upper portion of the lower case via the upper opening, and the upper opening is closed by the lid, and the lid Since the cooling water pump is disposed so as to be located above and below the upper case, the hydraulic pump can be disposed more effectively. In addition, since the hydraulic pump is arranged above the hydraulic clutch mechanism and below the cooling water pump, the hydraulic pump can be arranged with minimal interference with other parts. Regardless of “neutral position”, “forward position”, and “reverse position”, the hydraulic pump and the cooling water pump can always be driven by the drive shaft.
[0092]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, in addition to the effect of the first aspect, the upstream end of the oil passage provided in the propeller shaft and the downstream end of the oil supply passage provided in the lower case are communicated. In addition, there are fewer restrictions on the layout of the oil passage, and it is not necessary to bend the oil supply passage and oil passage so much, and it is easy to design.
[0093]
According to invention of
[0094]
According to the invention described in claim 4, in addition to the effect described in any one of claims 1-3, the exhaust passage for discharging the exhaust gas of the engine is disposed behind the drive shaft. It is disposed away from the exhaust passage, and the heat of the exhaust gas in the exhaust passage is difficult to propagate to the hydraulic oil in the hydraulic pump.
[0095]
According to the fifth aspect of the invention, in addition to the effect of any of the first to fourth aspects, the oil supply passage extends substantially vertically in the wall of the lower case. The hydraulic oil in the oil supply passage can be effectively cooled and no special piping is required.
