この発明は、例えば遊技ホールに設置されるパチスロ機のような遊技機の投入メダル選別装置に関し、さらに詳しく遊技適用外の厚肉メダル、厚肉流通硬貨等の厚肉メダル類が投入された場合に的確に返却処理する高返却処理機能を有する遊技機の投入メダル選別装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
一般に、この種の遊技機の投入メダル(コイン)選別装置 (例えば特許文献1参照。) は、投入口に適正な大きさの円板体 (メダル) が投入された場合、降下規制を受けることなく、外径規制爪、シックネススクリューを通過して、内方の円板体案内通路 (メダル降下通路) へと導かれる。

これに対し、例えば不適な大径のメダルが投入されたときは、外径規制爪に引っ掛って内方への取込みが規制される。このときは、プレーヤが返却ボタンを押すことにより、押圧方向に対向するゲートプレートを押し広げ、このメダル降下通路の下方にメダル返却用の大きな開口部を形成する。この開口部に向けて排除爪で大径のメダルを落下させて排除することにより、外部の遊技機の返却口へと導いている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、投入口に投入された不適な厚さのメダルが落下阻止されたとき、プレーヤは不適なメダルを取り戻すために遊技機の返却ボタンを押下操作する。ところが、適正に押下操作されない場合は返却できないことがある。また、内方に誤取り込みされてしまうことがある。

例えば、厚肉メダルが落下阻止されたとき、遊技機の返却ボタンを少しだけ押して直ぐに戻す(以下、チョン押しと称す)操作を行うと、落下規制されて捕捉されていた厚肉メダルは、排除爪により落下許容されるが、ゲートプレートが少し開いた後、直ぐに閉じてしまう。このため、落下し始めた厚肉メダルは下方の開口部へ真っ直ぐ落下せず、ゲートプレートの閉操作力を受けてメダル降下通路側に導かれて誤通過し、適正な厚さのメダルとして内方に取込まれてしまう問題を有していた。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この発明は、遊技機の投入口に投入された適正な厚さのメダルを、本体と開閉板との付勢対向面間に形成したメダル降下通路に導いて1枚ずつ内部に取込み、降下規制された厚肉の不適メダルを遊技機の返却ボタンの押下操作に基づいて通路下方に開口する下方開口部から外部の遊技機の返却口へと返却する投入メダル選別装置であって、前記本体と前記開閉板との間に回動自由に軸支して介在され、前記本体側からは前記返却ボタンが押された操作力を受圧許容する位置に対向し、前記開閉板側からは前記返却ボタンの操作力に対向するバネで付勢された補助開閉板と、前記本体側に回動自由に軸支され、前記返却ボタンの押し込み量を外面側より受けて内方の前記開閉板側に回動突出し、回動突出する内面側の一端には前記開閉板を開方向に押圧する第1カムと、回動突出時に前記第1カムより遅れて前記補助開閉板を開方向に押圧する第2カムとを有する回動カム備え、前記補助開閉板の一部は、前記厚肉の不適メダルを降下規制すると共に、適正なメダルを降下許容する適正メダル厚さスペースを隔てて前記メダル降下通路の開閉板側の通路面に沿った状態で選別規制片を構成し、該選別規制片は、前記メダル降下通路の入口付近に配置されていることを特徴とする

図面は遊技ホールに設置されるパチスロ機の投入メダル選別装置を示し、図1において、パチスロ機11は前面にメダルMを1枚ずつ受入れる投入口12を有し、この投入口12に投入されたメダルの適否を選別し、正規の大きさのメダルを内部に取込み、大径、小径、厚肉等の不適な大きさのメダル類を外部の返却口13に返却する選別機能を内蔵している。また、外部の投入口12には返却ボタン14を隣設しており、この返却ボタン14をプレーヤが遊技中止するために押下操作した場合もメダルMを返却口13に返却処理する。

次に、若干大きめの不適なメダルが投入されたときの選別処理動作について説明する。
