溜水を貯め置く便器ボウル部にボウル部洗浄水を供給して便器洗浄を行う水洗便器であって、このボウル部上縁から溜水部へ至る途中のボウル内周には、主洗浄棚部が形成されており、また、少なくとも前記便器ボウル部前端近傍には、前記主洗浄棚部よりも外側に副洗浄棚部が形成されており、主洗浄棚部と副洗浄棚部とは、主洗浄棚部から立ち上がる主洗浄縦面によって連続してボウル部内面を形成しており、
前記主洗浄棚部に載って略水平方向に旋回を起こすよう洗浄水を噴出する主ボウル部噴出部が備えられていることを特徴とする水洗便器。
