その中の多くは、ZMP(Zero Moment Point)を歩行の安定度判別の規範として用いている。

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a legged mobile robot including a plurality of movable legs and a movement control method thereof.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, research and development on legged mobile robots imitating animals that walk biped upright, such as humans and monkeys, have progressed, and expectations for practical use are also increasing. A legged mobile robot with two legs standing upright is more unstable than a crawler or four-legged or six-legged robot, and posture control and walking control are complicated, but the walking surface has irregularities on the work path. It is excellent in that it can realize flexible moving work, such as being able to cope with discontinuous walking surfaces such as stairs and ladders (such as rough terrain and obstacles).
[0003]
Most of the human work space and living space are formed according to the human body's physical mechanism and behavioral style of standing upright with two legs. In other words, the human living space has too many barriers for the current mechanical system that uses wheels or other drive devices as moving means to move. In order for a mechanical system, that is, a robot to support or substitute for various human tasks and further penetrate deeply into a human living space, it is preferable that the movable range of the robot is substantially the same as that of a human. This is why the practical application of legged mobile robots is highly expected. It can be said that having a humanoid form is indispensable for a robot to enhance its affinity with a human living environment.
[0004]
Many techniques relating to posture control and stable walking have already been proposed for robots that perform legged movements by biped walking. Many of them use ZMP (Zero Moment Point) as a norm for determining the stability of walking. According to the ZMP stability criterion, gravity, inertial force, and these moments act on the road surface from the walking system, which balances the floor reaction force and floor reaction force moment as a reaction from the road surface to the walking system. Based on D'Alembert principle. As a result of mechanical reasoning, there is a point where the pitch and roll axis moment become zero on or inside the side of the support polygon formed by the contact point of the sole and the road surface, and this point is called ZMP.
[0005]
Biped walking control based on the ZMP norm has advantages such that a foot landing point can be determined in advance, and it is easy to consider the kinematic constraint conditions of the foot according to the road surface shape. In addition, using ZMP as a stability determination criterion means that a trajectory, not a force, is treated as a target value in motion control, and thus technical feasibility increases. Regarding the concept of ZMP and the application of ZMP to the stability criteria for walking robots, Migir Vukobratovic, “LEGGED LOCATION ROBOTS” (Ichiro Kato, “Walking Robots and Artificial Feet” (Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun)) It is described in.
[0006]
The structure of the foot provided at the tip of the movable leg (lower limb) of the robot is the impact received from the road surface when the free leg (the leg on the side that is not in contact with the road surface), that is, the Z-axis direction (with respect to the sole) In order to reduce the impact in the direction perpendicular to the axis or along the yaw axis), an elastic sheet such as rubber is bonded to the sole, or a metal is further provided on the lower surface of the elastic sheet to prevent breakage or deformation. What adhered the board etc. is known. Also known is a metal plate or the like provided on the back of the foot via a leaf spring for absorbing an impact in the Z-axis direction.
[0007]
In addition, the foot is provided with various sensors for detecting basic information for the main control unit of the robot body to control the movement of each part including the movable leg. For example, when performing robot motion control using ZMP as a stability criterion, in order to measure actual ZMP, a plurality of force sensors for ZMP detection are arranged on the ground contact surface with respect to the road surface of the foot. As the sensor provided on the foot, a sensor for detecting whether or not the foot is in contact with the road surface, a sensor for detecting slippage of the foot grounded on the road surface with respect to the road surface may be provided. is there.
[0008]
The detection values of these sensors are A / D converted and taken into the main control unit provided in the robot body, and the main control unit calculates actual ZMP based on these detection values, and other necessary arithmetic processing. And is used for control of each part including the walking motion of the robot.
[0009]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, the walking motion of the robot is arranged on the movable leg while the main control unit of the robot body calculates the trajectory to reach the target position of the foot and corrects the trajectory based on the ZMP detection result described above. This is done by controlling each actuator.
[0010]
However, there are various obstacles (including road surface irregularities and some independent objects) on the road surface (floor surface) where the robot performs walking motion, and the foot collides with the obstacle during walking motion. Or interference occurs, so-called whispering occurs, posture stability is lost, walking becomes difficult, and in the worst case, it may fall. It is desirable that the robot can move up and down steps and stairs as well as flat road surfaces.
[0011]
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and the object of the present invention is to stably continue walking even when there are some obstacles on the road surface on which the robot walks. Is to do. Another object of the present invention is to make it easy to move up and down steps and stairs.
[0012]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, a legged mobile robot according to the first aspect of the present invention comprises:A movable leg; a foot main body provided at the distal end of the movable leg so as to be movable with respect to the movable leg; and at least one for detecting an action of an external force on a side portion of the foot main body provided in the foot main body. An acceleration sensor; and a control unit that controls movement of the movable leg based on information including an output of the acceleration sensor, wherein the control unit is configured to perform the acceleration sensor during a forward movement that moves the foot body in a forward direction. When it is detected that the foot main body has interfered with an obstacle based on the output of the above, a retraction operation is performed to move the foot main body in a retreating direction, and the foot main body is moved vertically in the retreating operation. After the backward movement is completed, the forward movement is performed, and during the forward movement, the ascending movement is performed to move the foot main body in the vertical direction.
[0013]
According to the present invention, since the sensor for detecting the action of the external force on the side of the foot body is provided, the control means has collided or interfered with the obstacle on the basis of the output (detected value). Can be determined, and control for avoiding the obstacle can be performed. Therefore, the walking motion can be continued stably.
[0014]
As the sensor, a specific direction (e.g., in a plane substantially parallel to the back surface of the foot (a surface formed by a portion that contacts the road surface when the robot is upright or a surface orthogonal to the yaw axis) (for example, Examples include an acceleration sensor that detects acceleration in the front-rear direction or the left-right direction of the robot, or a pressure sensor that detects pressure acting in the direction.
[0015]
In the present invention, foot processing means for processing the output of the sensor and supplying the calculation result to the control means may be provided on the foot body. By determining that the foot body collides with or interferes with an obstacle based on the output of the sensor and other processing, the foot processing means is made to supply the processing result to the control means of the robot body, The processing burden on the control means of the robot body can be reduced.
[0016]
Further, the foot main body is provided with an outer frame portion provided so as to face and separate from a side portion of the foot main body, and a buffer means interposed between the outer frame portion and the side portion of the foot main body. Can have. When the side of the foot body collides with or interferes with an obstacle, the reaction force directly acts on the foot body, and the robot may lose its posture or the foot body may be damaged. By providing such a buffer means and an outer frame member, the outer frame member collides with or interferes with an obstacle, and the reaction force is reduced by the buffer means and transmitted to the foot body. , Will be able to suppress the collapse of posture and damage to the foot body. Further, in the case of light interference, there is an advantage that the interference can be eliminated without actively performing the avoiding operation.
[0017]
Specific examples of the control executed by the control means include the following. That is, during the first operation of moving the foot main body in the first direction, the first operation is interrupted when it is detected that the foot main body interferes with an obstacle based on the output of the sensor. Next, a second operation for returning the foot body in a second direction opposite to the first direction is performed. After the second operation or a part of the second operation is overlapped, a third operation of moving the foot main body in a third direction different from the first direction and the second direction is performed. After the third operation or with a part of the third operation overlapped, the first operation is resumed. By performing such control, obstacles can be quickly avoided without destroying the stability of the posture. In addition, it is possible to easily move up and down steps and stairs.
[0018]
To achieve the above object, a movement control method for a legged mobile robot according to a second aspect of the present invention is a legged mobile robot comprising a movable leg and a leg body provided at the tip of the movable leg. In the movement control method, when it is detected that the foot body interferes with an obstacle based on the output of the sensor during the first operation of moving the foot body in the first direction, the first operation is performed. A step of interrupting, a step of performing a second action of returning the foot body in a second direction opposite to the first direction, a part of the second action after or after the second action, Performing a third action of moving the foot body in a third direction different from the first direction and the second direction; and after the third action or partially overlapping with the third action, One operation is resumed.
[0019]
To achieve the above object, a movement control program for a legged mobile robot according to a third aspect of the present invention includes a movable leg, a foot main body provided at a tip of the movable leg, and a side portion of the foot main body. A movement control program for a legged mobile robot having a sensor for detecting the action of an external force, wherein the foot main body is based on an output of the sensor during a first operation of moving the foot main body in a first direction. Means for determining whether or not the object has interfered with an obstacle; means for interrupting the first action when it is determined that the foot body has interfered with the obstacle; and A means for performing a second operation for returning to the opposite second direction, and a part of the foot main body different from the first direction and the second direction after the second operation or overlapping with the second operation. Means for performing a third movement moving in the third direction, and after the third movement Properly be allowed to overlap the third operation and some, constructed and a resuming unit the first operation.
[0020]
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention for achieving the above object, there is provided a computer-readable information recording medium in which a movement control program for a legged mobile robot according to the third aspect of the present invention is recorded. .

Here, the foot information is stored in a ROM in which data cannot be rewritten, but may be stored in a DRAM or the like on condition that the data can be rewritten, EPROM, SRAM, or power backup. In this case, dynamically changing information can be stored as the foot information and rewritten as needed. For example, log information indicating changes in characteristics of the sensor over time may be stored as the foot sensor information.

In addition, when it is assumed that adaptation to various road surfaces is necessary, it is also effective that the robot performs a legged work while carrying one or a plurality of specific feet (spare). . In the case of a robot that walks on an unknown road surface, there is a possibility that a foot part needs to be exchanged in order to cope with the road surface after walking. For example, in difficult work sites such as disaster relief and planetary search, it is often impossible to specify the road surface in advance. In other words, it can be said that such a difficult and harsh situation is the working environment where the activity of the walking robot is originally required.

[0076]
The above-described slight amount in the first avoidance operation and the predetermined amount in the second avoidance operation have been described as being appropriately determined in advance. However, either one or both may be determined dynamically at that time. Good. For example, when the robot is provided with a visual sensor such as a CCD, the outline of the size and shape of the obstacle can be specified by video recognition, so that it can be set based on the recognition result.
[0077]
In the above description, the second avoidance operation is performed after the first avoidance operation, which is more reliable for obstacle avoidance, but from the viewpoint of speeding up obstacle avoidance. These may be performed simultaneously or in parallel with some overlapping.
[0078]
The movement direction (third direction) in the second avoidance operation is generally considered to avoid obstacles such as slight steps or small objects existing on the road surface. Doing is considered effective in many situations. However, an avoiding operation in another direction such as movement in a horizontal plane may be used. The direction of avoidance may also be determined in advance, but when a visual sensor such as a CCD as described above is provided, it may be determined dynamically based on the image recognition result of the obstacle. Also good. The first avoidance operation described above corresponds to the second operation according to the present invention, and the second avoidance operation described above corresponds to the third operation according to the present invention.

【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, since the sensor for detecting the action of the external force on the side of the foot body is provided, the control means determines that the foot has collided with or interfered with some obstacle based on the detected value. And control for avoiding the obstacle can be performed. Therefore, there is an effect that the walking motion can be continued stably. In addition, there is an effect that steps and steps can be easily climbed.
