Description
Claims (14)
- ワイヤレス・アドホック通信ネットワークにおいて用いられるノードであって、
前記ノードに宛てられた一つ以上のデータ・パケットを処理するホスト装置と、
前記ワイヤレス・アドホック通信ネットワークにおける一つ以上の別のノードへ/からの一つ以上の別のデータ・パケットに対し経路設定を行う経路設定装置と、
を有し、前記経路設定装置は、前記一つ以上のデータ・パケットと前記一つ以上の別のデータ・パケットを記憶するメモリーと、
前記メモリーに記憶された前記一つ以上のデータ・パケットへの前記ホスト装置によるアクセスを提供し、かつさらに前記一つ以上の別のデータ・パケットへの前記ホスト装置によるアクセスを防止する内部ハードウエア・ファイアウォールと、
前記アクセスが行えるように前記内部ハードウエア・ファイアウォールを設定するコントローラと、
を備え、前記メモリーは、レジスタ・メールボックスと、
複数のアドレスを有するパケット・バッファと、
を有し、前記メモリーが前記ホスト装置と前記コントローラに共通の一組のレジスタを提供する、ノード。 - 請求項1記載のノードであって、さらに
送信信号をアナログ・フォーマットに変調し、着信信号をディジタル・フォーマットのパケットに復調するように動作するモデムを備え、
前記コントローラは、着信信号をディジタル・フォーマット・パケットに復調するようにモデム制御機能に指示する、ノード。 - 請求項1記載のノードにおいて、
前記コントローラは、経路制御機能に指示し、ディジタル・フォーマットのパケットを前記モデムから前記パケット・バッファのアドレス範囲に転送する、ノード。 - 請求項1記載のノードにおいて、
前記コントローラは、前記ホスト装置が前記着信信号のディジタル・フォーマット・パケットにアクセスすることを要求しているかどうかを判定し、これに応答して、前記ホスト装置がホスト・インターフェースを介して前記レジスタ・メールボックスにアクセスすることを許可するように前記内部ハードウエア・ファイアウォールを設定する、ノード。 - 請求項1記載のノードにおいて、
前記コントローラは、前記ディジタル・フォーマットのパケットが入っている前記パケット・バッファ内のアドレス範囲を判定し、前記アドレス領域が入っているメッセージを前記レジスタ・メールボックスに配置し、さらに前記ホスト装置に対し、前記レジスタ・メールボックスにアクセスして前記メッセージを取得するように信号を伝達する、ノード。 - 請求項1記載のノードにおいて、
前記コントローラは、前記ホスト装置が前記パケット・バッファの前記アドレス範囲にアクセスすることを許可するように前記内部ハードウエア・ファイアウォールを設定する、ノード。 - 請求項1記載のノードにおいて、
前記コントローラは、前記ホスト装置から完了の回答を取得し、これに応答して、前記ホスト装置が前記レジスタ・メールボックスおよび前記パケット・バッファにアクセスすることを禁ずるように、前記内部ハードウエア・ファイアウォールを設定する、ノード。 - ワイヤレス・アドホック・ネットワークにおけるノードに格納されたデータへのアクセスを管理する方法であって、前記ノードはホスト装置と経路設定装置を有し、該経路設定装置はメモリーと、内部ハードウエア・ファイアウォールと、コントローラとを含む、前記方法が、
前記ノードに宛てられた一つ以上のデータ・パケットを前記メモリー内に格納するステップと、
前記ワイヤレス・アドホック通信ネットワークにおける一つ以上の別のノードに宛てられた一つ以上の別のデータ・パケットを格納するステップと、
前記メモリーに格納された前記一つ以上のデータ・パケットへの前記ホスト装置によるアクセスを提供しかつ前記メモリーに格納された前記一つ以上の別のデータ・パケットへのアクセスを防止するように前記内部ハードウエア・ファイアウォールを制御するステップと、を備え、
前記メモリーはレジスタ・メールボックスと、複数のアドレスを有するパケット・バッファと、を有し、
前記方法がさらに、前記ホスト装置と前記コントローラに共通の一組のレジスタを提供するステップを有する方法。 - 請求項8記載の方法であって、さらに、
モデムを制御して、発信信号をアナログ・フォーマットに変調し、着信信号をディジタル・フォーマットのパケットに復調するステップと、
モデム制御機能に指示し、着信信号をディジタル・フォーマットのパケットに復調するステップを含む方法。 - 請求項8記載の方法であって、さらに、
経路制御機能に指示し、ディジタル・フォーマットのパケットを前記モデムから前記パケット・バッファのアドレス範囲に転送するステップを含む方法。 - 請求項8記載の方法であって、さらに、
前記ホスト装置が前記着信ディジタル・フォーマット・パケットにアクセスすることを要求しているかどうかを判定し、これに応答して、前記ホスト装置がホスト・インターフェースを介して前記レジスタ・メールボックスにアクセスすることを許可するように前記内部ハードウエア・ファイアウォールを設定するステップを含む方法。 - 請求項8記載の方法であって、さらに、
前記ディジタル・フォーマットのパケットが入っている前記パケット・バッファ内のアドレス範囲を判定し、前記アドレス範囲が入っているメッセージを前記レジスタ・メールボックス内に配置し、さらに前記ホスト装置に対し、前記レジスタ・メールボックスにアクセスして前記メッセージを取得するよう信号を伝達するステップを含む方法。 - 請求項8記載の方法であって、さらに、
前記ホスト装置が前記パケット・バッファの前記アドレス範囲にアクセスすることを許すように前記内部ハードウエア・ファイアウォールを設定するステップを含む方法。 - 請求項8記載の方法であって、さらに、
前記ホスト装置から完了の回答を取得し、これに応答して、前記ホスト装置が前記レジスタ・メールボックスおよびパケット・バッファにアクセスするのを禁ずるように前記内部ハードウエア・ファイアウォールを設定する方法。
