Description
【0001】
また、これに加えてこの情報端末システムではGPS(global positioning system)衛星102を使用している。

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an information terminal such as a mobile phone, a pager, or a personal computer connected to a line, and more particularly to an information terminal that provides information regarding the location of the terminal owner.
[0002]
[Prior art]
With the development of information terminals such as mobile phones, personal handy-phone systems (PHS), and portable personal computers with built-in modems, communication using radio is rapidly spreading. In particular, mobile phones such as mobile phones and PHS have been widely used. Since these mobile phones use radio stations to make calls, you can make calls from anywhere on conventional phones that are fixedly installed in each location, and where mobile phone users can go. It has an excellent feature that it can make a phone call.
[0003]
However, the widespread use of such mobile phones has caused various problems. First, the occurrence of noise due to ringtones and spoken voices due to the use of mobile phones in public institutions such as trains, venues such as concerts, and hospitals where noise is a problem has been pointed out as a problem. In particular, sudden ringtones on trains and buses awaken sleeping people and have been pointed out as a major problem since the beginning of the appearance of mobile phones. Also, the parties to the phone are having a two-way conversation with the other party, but those around him who hear only the one-way conversation of the speaker say, "Isn't he talking to me?" Listening to it with the feeling that "the other party doesn't reply" makes you feel unstable.
[0004]
Several improvements have been proposed for incoming calls in this problem. One is a device for making the ringtone into a melody and eliminating the messiness of a normal telephone ringing tone. However, since it is assumed that the ringtone is a sound for the person to notice the incoming call, the problem does not change in that surrounding people are also aware of this and are inconvenienced. As another proposal, as disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 08-223257, a vibrator is attached to a mobile phone, and when a call is received, it is driven to notify the user of the incoming call by vibration. This devise does not bother the third party with the incoming call. However, since a person sitting next to you on a train etc. suddenly speaks out, people around you need to clarify whether this is accompanied by the occurrence of danger due to madness, and I happened to be there. As a person, it will cause great trouble.
[0005]
Therefore, in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 10-107915, when there is an incoming call in a public place such as a train, a guidance to make a voiceless call is sent to the other party, and then “Yes” assigned to each by operating the numeric keypad. By sending simple words such as "No", "Please ask again" to the other party with a synthesized sound, a silent call is possible. Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 10-200266 also discloses a similar technique. Japanese Laid-Open Patent Publication No. 6-097878 also discloses a technique for silent communication, and records the caller's call content.
[0006]
In addition, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 05-2761081 solves the problem by transferring the incoming call to another predetermined place such as a home under the same situation.
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Certainly, many problems associated with incoming calls of mobile phones in public places can be avoided by the devices described above. However, mobile phones used particularly when using transportation such as trains and buses often confirm the current location. Information such as “Now Shinjuku Station” or “Passing Shimokitazawa” can be obtained.
[0008]
However, in voiceless communication such as that disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 10-107915, a user of a portable telephone in a transportation facility such as a train can send only a standard message such as “Yes” or “No” to the other party. In order for the other party to be able to know the location, it is necessary for the other party to perform a series of questions on the quiz program. In such a case, recording a message such as “Tell me your location” is not worth it.
[0009]
As described above, the problem of the response by the mobile phone in a place where speech cannot be performed has been described. However, there is a common problem in the case where it is impossible to speak. This is the case when a call is made to a mobile phone during work, but the call is prohibited or, in extreme cases, the phone has fallen due to a heart attack.
[0010]
Furthermore, I want to know the current position of a demented elderly person, a person such as an infant or a foreigner who cannot accurately express their position, or a person under probation, if necessary. Requests are in various places.
[0011]
Although the conventional problems have been described mainly with respect to mobile phones, electronic devices such as portable personal computers with built-in modems also exhibit the same functions as mobile phones by using their voice input / output functions. , And cause similar problems. Therefore, the portable telephone and these small electronic devices are collectively referred to as an information terminal in this specification.
[0012]
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide an information terminal capable of presenting information about the behavior of the user of the terminal or the current location.
[0013]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, (b) position data acquisition means for acquiring position data representing the current position, (b) movement path setting means for setting a movement path, and (c) position data acquisition means A travel path corresponding presence / absence determining means for determining whether or not the acquired position data corresponds to the travel path set by the travel path setting means; As described aboveCorresponds to the travel route set by the travel route setting meansDiscriminateIn some cases, the position data acquired by the position data acquisition means is converted into a corresponding place on the moving route. On the other hand, when the travel route corresponding presence / absence determining means determines that the travel route does not correspond to the travel route set by the travel route setting means, the location / residence display converting means for converting the position data into the residential display,(E) ThisLocation / residence conversion methodConverted byOr residence indicationThe information terminal is provided with position information transmitting means for transmitting information indicating the above to a specific destination.
[0014]
That is, according to the first aspect of the present invention, the position data representing the current position is acquired by the position data acquisition means, and it is determined whether or not the position corresponds to the position on the movement route set by the movement route setting means. If applicable, the position data is converted into a corresponding place on the movement route, and information indicating the converted place is transmitted to a specific destination. If the route does not correspond to the set route, it is not converted into coordinate data representing the position but converted into a more easily distinguishable residence display and output. The transmission may be performed from the information terminal side, or may be performed as a result of requesting this information terminal. If routes such as trains, buses, and promenades are set, station names, stop names, city halls, and landmarks such as XX parks are converted to the corresponding locations and sent to specific destinations. Now, you can intuitively know where you are on which route.Of course, when it is more effective to output the longitude and latitude data as in the middle of the desert, it is free to send to the other party in such a form.

FIG. 6 shows the contents of the route table registered by the user. The route table 241 is stored in the
[0035]
The route table 241 is created by the wireless terminal 108.1It can be created by opening a creation menu on the
[0036]
A typical route can be selected from the created route table 241. Also, if you arrive at your destination through a new route, use software such as commercially available software that determines the route of transportation such as railways and buses. "Can be entered to determine the route, and this can be set as the route to be taken this time. Such software does not necessarily have its own wireless terminal 108.1The
[0037]
Before getting on the train, the user 107 is connected to the wireless terminal 108.1Is set to a special mode called position information automatic response mode. In this mode, the current location of the user 107 is automatically notified to the caller only when a call is made from a telephone having a preset telephone number. Of course, such a notification of the present location may be given to all who have made a call without any restriction. It is also possible for the user 107 to automatically notify a specific telephone number of the current location by operating the button switch 205 (FIG. 2). When the position information automatic response mode is set, the indicator 208 shown in FIG. 2 blinks.
[0038]
FIG. 7 shows a state of control when an incoming call is received in a state where the wireless terminal owned by the user is set to the position confirmation service mode. First, when there is an incoming call (step S261: Y), the CPU in the wireless terminal determines whether or not this location confirmation service is for a specific person (step S262). That is, when the user 107 is set to provide this service only to specific persons (Y), it is checked whether or not the telephone number received matches those of the specific persons. If it does not match (N), a message such as “I cannot answer the phone now” is sent (step S264), and then the line is disconnected.
[0039]
On the other hand, if the incoming telephone number matches the telephone number registered for the location confirmation service (step S263: Y), or if the target of this service is an unspecified person, the
[0040]
FIG. 8 shows the flow of additional information creation processing.
[0041]
[0042]
Furthermore, if the end point of the selected route is “Noborito Station”, it is also possible to estimate the time to reach “Noborito Station” by applying the timetable and the required time between stations. Furthermore, when the arrival time of each station is significantly different from the departure time, or when it is determined that the train has stopped for a relatively long time on the way, “the train is delayed for some reason”. Judgment is also possible. In such a case, it may be possible to determine the correction of the arrival time in anticipation of the train delay.
[0043]
Therefore, when there is an incoming call (step S284: Y), the
[0044]
“I am on the Odakyu Line as of 18:20 and have passed Kyodo Station. After leaving Akasaka Mitsuke Station, I am on the express train departing at 18: 6 at Shinjuku Station. It is expected to arrive at Noborito Station at 35 minutes.
“I am on the Odakyu Line as of 18:30 and have passed Kyodo Station. It seems that I am on an express or semi-express train from Shinjuku Station at 18:00. I was expecting to arrive at Noto Station at 18:25, but will be delayed after 18:40.
[0045]
In the embodiment described above, the transmission of a message for an incoming call when the position confirmation service mode is set has been described. However, a similar message is sent to a specific destination from a user 107 in the middle of a route by a dial operation. Alternatively, it is naturally possible to make a call by simply pressing the
[0046]
There may be a case where the user 107 does not travel along the selected route. If another route is determined instead of such a case, the location on the route is determined, but such a route may not be determined. In such a case, since the corresponding station (or a stop or a landmark registered in advance) does not exist, normal residence display is performed. In other words, a message such as “I am at 2-4 Yoyogi, Shibuya-ku after getting off the station” is sent out. Also, if a location such as “Company A” shown in the route table 241 of FIG. 6 is registered in association with the position information, a message such as “I am now at Company A”, “I was at Company A from 10:30 to 11:30, but I took the Yamanote Line from Shibuya Station and passed Yoyogi Station as of 12:30.” Or “I'm home at 17:00.” It is also possible to send such a message. Of course, a message for the current location may be simply sent according to the telephone number of the caller, or information on all routes traced in one day may be sent as a message. Such modifications can be understood without explaining the details.
[0047]
Furthermore, even if the user does not create or select the route table 241 in particular, if the item “Train, Bus” is selected from the menu screen displayed on the
[0048]
Also, for each route in the route table, especially routes such as bus routes and promenades, you can register landmarks such as city halls, XX parks, and XX department stores corresponding to the location data, or as map data If prepared, such a place can be transmitted as the corresponding place, and the data receiving side can intuitively grasp the position of the user of the information terminal.
[0049]
In particular, if the source's own display or destination's display shows the location of each station, stop, road, etc. on the route as appropriate on the horizontal axis, the route traced up to the present is displayed in a bar graph , It is easy to understand or understand how far the entire path has come. That is, when it is desired to know whether or not the destination is approached, such as when riding on a train on an unknown land, the
[0050]
In the embodiment, an example in which an information terminal similar to a pager is used has been described. However, the present invention can be applied to all information devices that can communicate with each wireless station and can acquire and determine position data using GPS. Of course it is applicable. In particular, mobile phones can be expected to be widely applied because they can notify the user's location without sound.
[0051]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the first aspect of the present invention, the position data representing the current position is acquired by the position data acquisition means, and corresponds to the position on the movement route set by the movement route setting means. If applicable, the location data is converted to the corresponding location on the travel route, and the information indicating the converted location is sent to a specific destination. You will know where you are.In addition, if the route does not correspond to the set route, it is not converted into coordinate data representing the position, but converted into a more easily distinguishable housing display and output, so a relatively easy-to-understand location display is output. In addition, you can guess the situation of getting off a train or bus, using a taxi or walking.
[0052]
Further, in the invention described in
[0054]
Further claim 3According to the described invention, not only the current location but also the information of where you were in the past is also notified, so when you get on a transportation like a train, which direction you are heading, the train is delayed Additional information can also be notified.
