本発明は管端部のキャップの取り外し装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
たとえばダクタイル鋳鉄によって管を鋳造した場合には、この管の外面に軽金属を溶射することによって保護膜を形成することが行われている。そして、このような溶射処理の前段階として、管の外面にショットピーニングを施して錆とりなどが行われている。

図3は、鋳鉄管にこのようなショットピーニングおよび溶射を行うための設備の概略構成を示す。この図3において、1は溶射処理を行うための装置、2はその溶射処理の前段階としてショットピーニングを行うための装置である。3は鋳鉄管で、その一端に接合用の受口4を有するとともに、その他端に、接合時に他の管3の受口4の内部に挿入される挿口5を有する。

このような構成において、管3にショットピーニングと溶射とを施す際には、図示のようにある管3の受口4に他の管3の挿口5を挿入して、複数の管3、3、…を互いに水平な軸心方向に連続させた状態で、これらの管3、3、…を、ショットピーニングを行うための装置2に通したうえで溶射処理を行うための装置1に通して、連続的な処理を行うようにされている。装置1における溶射処理が終了した管3は、互いの連続状態が解除されて、一本ずつ、その軸心と直交する水平方向に搬送される。6は、その直交方向への搬送路を示す。

このようにショットピーニングと溶射とを施すために管3、3、…どうしを連続させる場合に、図4に示されるようなキャップ7が用いられる。このキャップ7は、図示のような樹脂製の有底筒状体にて構成され、管3の受口4の開口に押し込み状態ではめ込まれることで、この受口4の開口を塞いで、装置2において管3の外面にショットピーニングを施すときにその管3の内部にショット粒が入り込まないようにするものである。

またキャップ7の端縁には管3の周方向に沿った環状溝8が設けられ、図3に示すように複数の管3、3、…を軸心方向に連続させるときに、図4に示すように他の管3の挿口5の先端部を環状溝8にはまり込ませることで、一方の管3の挿口5と他方の管3の受口4とがシール状態で連続される。

このとき、挿口5が受口4に入り込み過ぎると、その入り込んだ部分の挿口5の外周にはショットピーニングも溶射も施されないことになるが、このように挿口5の先端部のみがキャップ7の環状溝8にはまり込むようにすることで、この挿口5に適切に溶射が行われるとともに、この挿口5の内部にショット粒が入り込むことが確実に防止される。すなわち、キャップ7によって、一対の管3、3を互いに連続させることができるとともに、互いに連続された一方の管3の受口4と他方の管3の挿口5とを一緒に閉じることができるという利点がある。

このように受口4にキャップ7がはめ込まれた管3にショットピーニングと溶射とが施された後に、この管3は図3に示すように搬送路6に沿って軸心と直交する水平方向に搬送されるが、この搬送路6における適宜の位置で用済み後のキャップ7が取り外される。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、従来において、このキャップ7の取り外し作業は手作業で行われており、したがって、能率が悪いとともに、そのための作業者が常に搬送路6に張り付いていなければならないという課題がある。

そこで本発明は、このような課題を解決して、管の一端部に装着されたキャップを、人手を要することなしに容易に取り外すことができるようにすることを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この目的を達成するため本発明は、管の外面にショットピーニングを施すときにその管の内部にショット粒が入り込まないようにその管の一端部に装着されたキャップを取り外すための装置が、管の他端部を塞ぐ蓋体と、この蓋体を通って前記管の内部に加圧空気を供給する手段とを有するようにしたものである。

このような構成であると、一端部にキャップが装着された状態の管の他端部を蓋体で塞ぎ、この蓋体を通って管の内部に加圧空気を供給することで、この加圧空気の作用によって、人手を要することなしに容易に、キヤップを押してこのキャップを管から取り外すことができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
図1に示すように、ショットピーニングと溶射とが施された管3を軸心と直交する水平方向に搬送する搬送路6には、本発明にもとづく管端部のキャップの取り外し装置11が設けられている。この取り外し装置11において、12は管支持装置で、受口4にキャップ7がはめ込まれた管3を水平方向に支持可能である。

図1および図2に示すように、取り外し装置11における管3の受口4に対応する位置には、この受口4の端面13におけるキャップ7と干渉しない部分に当たることができるV字形の面板14が設けられている。15は、面板14を管軸心方向に沿って受口4の端面13に近づけたり端面13から遠ざけたりするための駆動装置である。

また、取り外し装置11における管3の挿口5に対応する位置には、この挿口5の開口端に押圧されることでこの挿口5の開口端を塞ぐことができる板状の蓋体16が設けられている。この蓋体16は、シリンダ装置17により駆動されることで、上記のように挿口5の開口端に押圧されるように構成されている。蓋体16を貫通するエア供給管18が設けられており、このエア供給管18は、エア源19に接続されることで、キャップ7と蓋体16とによって端部が閉じられた状態の管3の内部に加圧空気20を供給可能である。

取り外し装置11における管3の受口4に対応する位置と挿口5に対応する位置とには、レーザ投受光装置21がそれぞれ設けられている。このレーザ投受光装置21は、蓋体16に設けられた透明窓などを通過可能なレーザ光を、支持装置12によって水平方向に支持された管3の内部を管軸心方向に貫通するように通すことができるように構成されている。

このような構成において、受口4にキャップ7がはめ込まれた状態でショットピーニングと溶射とが施された管3は、搬送路6をその軸心と直交する方向に搬送されて、取り外し装置11に搬入され、支持装置12によって水平方向に支持される。次に駆動装置15によって面板14がキャップ7と干渉しない位置における受口4の端面13に当てられ、またシリンダ装置17によって蓋体16が挿口5の開口端に押圧される。これによって、管3は、キャップ7と蓋体16とによって両端が閉じられた状態となる。

次に、エア供給管18によって、たとえば100〜200kPa(1〜2kg/cm2 )程度の加圧空気を、パルス状の加圧状態となるように管3の内部に供給する。すると、それによりキャップ7は押されて管3の外部にはじき出さる。すなわち管3から取り外されて適当位置に落下される。

このようにキャップ7が正常に取り外されると、それによってレーザ投受光装置21の投光部からのレーザ光がその受光部に到達するので、このようにキャップが正常に取り外されたことが検知される。反対にキャップ7の取り外しにミスがあった場合には、レーザ光はキャップ7によって遮断されるために受光部に到達せず、したがって、そのミスがあったことが検知され、その旨が作業者に知らされて適当な対策が施される。キャップ7が取り外された管3は、取り外し装置11から搬出される。

【発明の効果】
以上のように本発明によると、管の一端部に装着されたキャップを取り外すための装置が、管の他端部を塞ぐ蓋体と、この蓋体を通って前記管の内部に加圧空気を供給する手段とを有するようにしたため、一端部にキャップが装着された状態の管の他端部を蓋体で塞ぎ、この蓋体を通って管の内部に加圧空気を供給することで、この加圧空気の作用によって、人手を要することなしに容易に、キャップを押してこのキャップを管から取り外すことができる。
