Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method for continuously applying a treatment liquid to a steel sheet, and more particularly to a method for continuously applying a surface treatment liquid to a steel plate before plating or a steel plate after plating.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, as a method of applying a liquid such as a surface treatment liquid to a traveling steel plate, for example, as shown in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 61-96081, primary application is performed by spraying a liquid onto a steel plate with a spray nozzle. Then, a method of adjusting the coating amount with a coater roll whose rolling force is adjusted has been taken.
However, in the above method, as shown in FIG. 6, due to the viscosity of the surface treatment liquid, a liquid shortage
[0003]
In particular, when the amount of liquid applied onto the steel sheet is very small and there is a large excess of the surface treatment liquid cut by the coater roll 1, bubbles are generated in the
Furthermore, these problems tend to be promoted by high-speed application, and many problems remain to apply the surface treatment liquid stably and uniformly at high speed.
[0004]
On the other hand, as a method for uniformly applying a liquid onto a steel plate, for example, as shown in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 54-127935, there is a method in which the rolls of coating rolls are installed in an offset shape to uniformize the coating amount. Has been tried.
However, in this method, it is difficult to adjust the average coating amount within a range of several g / m 2 or less because the average coating amount is also adjusted with a coating roll installed in an offset shape, for example, 1 g / m 2 or less. It was not applicable when a very small average coating amount was required.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention advantageously solves the above-described problems, and evenly adjusts the average coating amount of the surface treatment liquid while accurately adjusting the average coating amount of the surface treatment solution and / or bubbles, which are referred to as streak patterns, etc. even in high-speed coating. By preventing unevenness of the coating amount due to the entanglement, the surface treatment liquid can be stably and uniformly applied to the steel plate at a high speed.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The summary of the method of applying the surface treatment liquid to the steel sheet according to the present invention is as follows.
(1) The average coating amount of the surface treatment liquid is adjusted with high accuracy by controlling the rolling force using a coater roll. (2) applying a higher coating amount of homogenized using a leveling after adjustment of the average coating weight roll. (3) By controlling the rolling force independently using two pairs of coater rolls, the excess surface treatment liquid is drained in two stages to suppress the generation of bubbles that cause uneven coating amount. . (4) The coating amount is effectively equalized by making the rotational speed of at least one of the coater roll and the leveling roll different from the sheet passing speed of the steel sheet.
In the present invention, the coating roll refers to a roll that changes the adhesion amount (average coating amount) of the surface treatment liquid to the steel sheet, and the leveling roll does not change the adhesion amount to the steel sheet. The roll which changes only the adhesion amount distribution in the steel plate width direction.
[0007]
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail.
When surface treatment is applied to a steel sheet by applying a surface treatment liquid, it is stable to control the average amount of the surface treatment liquid that imparts surface characteristics to the steel sheet with high precision and to make it uniform across the entire surface of the steel sheet. Necessary to obtain improved surface properties. However, continuous application of the surface treatment liquid to the steel sheet, particularly uneven coating amount and / or uneven coating amount due to entrainment of bubbles, which are called streaks in high-speed application, has hindered high-speed stable application. It was.
[0008]
As a result of examining in detail the mechanism that causes the coating amount unevenness by paying attention to the behavior of the surface treatment liquid on the steel sheet, the present inventors have found that local liquid breakage in the process of adjusting the average coating amount. The presence of defective parts and the generation of bubbles strongly influence the occurrence of uneven coating amount, and it is important to improve the process of adjusting the average coating amount and to make the coating amount uniform. I found out.
[0009]
The present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. 1 to 2 are schematic sectional views showing an example of a method and apparatus for applying a surface treatment liquid to a steel sheet according to the present invention. As shown in FIGS. 1 to 2 , the surface treatment liquid is continuously supplied to the front and back surfaces of the
[0010]
In addition, the continuous supply of the surface treatment liquid can also be performed by pulling up the steel sheet after being immersed in the surface treatment
[0011]
When the surface treatment liquid is continuously supplied to the steel sheet by the spray method, it is desirable that the surface treatment liquid is sprayed almost uniformly in the width direction of the steel sheet. If the spray amount in the width direction is greatly different, a difference in the width direction is generated even when the coater roll 1 is drained, resulting in uneven coating amount. The spray amount can be selected in a range of several times to several tens of times the final coating amount. It is desirable that the average amount of rolling force applied to the coater roll 1 is accurately determined, and the rolling force is controlled in the range of 0 to 6 kgf / m 2 . The higher the rolling force, the smaller the liquid film thickness on the steel plate. That is, the coating amount decreases, but if the rolling force exceeds 6 kgf / cm 2 , the coater roll 1 may be damaged, which is not desirable.
[0012]
In addition, when the coater roll 1 has a very small final application amount of the liquid onto the steel sheet and the surface treatment liquid is excessively cut by the coater roll 1, bubbles are generated in the
[0013]
At this time, the rolling force of the two pairs of coater rolls 1 is independently controlled in the range of 0 to 6 kgf / cm 2 , and the average coating amount on the steel sheet is determined by the rolling force of the second-stage coater roll 1. The higher the rolling force, the smaller the liquid film thickness on the steel plate. That is, the coating amount decreases, but if the rolling force exceeds 6 kgf / cm 2 , the coater roll 1 may be damaged, which is not desirable.
[0014]
In addition, when air bubbles are generated in the
[0015]
FIG. 3 is a schematic cross-sectional view showing details of the leveling roll portion of FIG. As shown in this figure, when uniformizing the coating amount with the leveling
[0016]
Further, in order to ensure the contact between the leveling
[0017]
For the uniformity of the coating fabric weight, coater roll 1, the uniformity of the coating amount by attaching a difference between the running speed of the rotational speed and the steel sheet of the at least one roll effectively out of leveling
[0018]
【Example】
Next, examples will be described. An aqueous solution (surface treatment liquid) containing an organic resin was supplied to the steel sheet traveling in the vertical direction by a spray method, and the surface treatment liquid was applied under the application conditions shown in Table 1. Next, in order to visualize the coating amount unevenness as a coating form of the organic resin, it was immediately inserted into a drying furnace at 140 ° C. after applying the surface treatment liquid to dry the moisture.
As can be seen from Table 1, in the conventional method, the coating amount unevenness occurred even at a plate passing speed of 60 mpm (Condition E), and when the pressure was increased to 100 mpm, a more severe coating amount unevenness occurred (Condition F).
In the method according to the present invention (conditions A to D), the coating amount unevenness was not generated or reduced at 100 mpm.

[0020]
【The invention's effect】
Above As noted, by applying the pair or uniform average coating amount of adjustment and leveling coating amount depends on roll with two pairs of coater rolls of the present invention, stable and uniform surface-treatment liquid to the steel sheet High-speed coating became possible. As a result, it is possible to produce a surface-treated steel sheet having excellent quality with small variations in coating film with high efficiency.
