Description
Claims (12)
- ヘッド/ディスク干渉を計測する方法であって、
データを記録するディスク上の1つのトラックに跨って、複数の半径において、リードバック信号の振幅値に基づくヘッドのトラックプロファイルを生成する段階と、
前記トラックプロファイルから感度プロファイルを生成する段階であって、前記感度プロファイルは、前記ヘッドの移動における1つのステップがその増分を表すインデックスポイントにおいて取得された前記振幅値によって生成される段階と、
前記トラックプロファイルから理想的な感度プロファイルを生成する段階であって、前記理想的な感度プロファイルは、i=m+1,...,n−(m+1)であるとき、
前記感度プロファイル及び前記理想的な感度プロファイルに基づいて、前記トラックに対する前記ヘッドのトラック位置ずれプロファイルを判定する段階であって、前記トラック位置ずれプロファイルは、Sが前記トラックにおける隣接する半径間の距離であり、i=m+1,...,n−(m+1)であるとき、
を備える方法。 - 前記判定する段階は、
前記感度プロファイル及び前記理想的な感度プロファイルに基づいて、垂直距離プロファイルを生成する段階と、
前記垂直距離プロファイルと前記理想的な感度プロファイルとから前記トラック位置ずれプロファイルを算出する段階と、
を含む請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記トラック位置ずれプロファイルから平均半径位置誤差を算出する段階を更に備える請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記トラック位置ずれプロファイルから二乗平均半径位置誤差を算出する段階を更に備える請求項2に記載の方法。
- ヘッド/ディスク干渉を計測する方法であって、
データを記録するディスク上の1つのトラックに跨って、複数の半径において、ヘッドのトラックプロファイルを生成する段階であって、前記トラックプロファイルは、それぞれの半径ごとのリードバック信号の振幅値を含んでいる、段階と、
前記トラックプロファイルから傾きプロファイルを生成する段階と、
前記傾きプロファイルから平均傾きプロファイルを生成する段階であって、前記平均傾きプロファイルは、i=m+1,...,n−(m+1)であるとき、
前記傾きプロファイル及び前記平均傾きプロファイルから垂直距離プロファイルを生成する段階であって、前記垂直距離プロファイルは、i=m+1,...,n−(m+1)であるとき、
前記垂直距離プロファイル及び前記平均傾きプロファイルからトラック位置ずれプロファイルを生成する段階であって、前記トラック位置ずれプロファイルは、Sが前記トラックにおける隣接する半径間の距離であり、i=m+1,...,n−(m+1)であるとき、
を備える方法。 - 前記トラックプロファイルは、前記ディスク上の前記トラックに跨ったn個の半径におる前記リードバック信号の前記振幅値を表しており、前記傾きプロファイルは、B(i)=A(i+1)−A(i)として生成され、ここで、A(i)は、前記トラックプロファイルであり、i=1,...,n−1である請求項5に記載の方法。
- ヘッド/ディスク干渉を計測する試験システムであって、
読取りヘッドと、データを記録する少なくとも1つのトラックを有するディスクと、を含むディスクドライブと、
該ディスクドライブに結合されており、前記トラックに跨って、複数の半径において、リードバック信号の振幅値に基づく前記読取りヘッドのトラックプロファイルを生成し、前記トラックプロファイルから感度プロファイルを生成し、前記トラックプロファイルから理想的な感度プロファイルを生成し、前記感度プロファイル及び理想的な感度プロファイルに基づいて、前記トラックに対する前記ヘッドのトラック位置ずれプロファイルを判定する試験装置と、
を備え、
前記感度プロファイルは、前記ヘッドの移動における1つのステップがその増分を表すインデックスポイントにおいて取得された前記振幅値によって生成され、
前記理想的な感度プロファイルは、i=m+1,...,n−(m+1)であるとき、
前記トラック位置ずれプロファイルは、Sが前記トラックにおける隣接する半径間の距離であり、i=m+1,...,n−(m+1)であるとき、
- 前記試験装置は、前記感度プロファイル及び前記理想的な感度プロファイルに基づいて、垂直距離プロファイルを生成することによって前記トラック位置ずれプロファイルを判定し、前記垂直距離プロファイルと前記理想的な感度プロファイルとから前記トラック位置ずれプロファイルを算出する請求項9に記載の試験システム。
- 前記試験装置は、前記トラック位置ずれプロファイルから平均半径位置誤差を算出する請求項10に記載の試験システム。
- 前記試験装置は、前記トラック位置ずれプロファイルから二乗平均半径位置誤差を算出する請求項10に記載の試験システム。
