(1)鋼帯コイルの終端部をスポット溶接して固定する鋼帯コイルの終端部固定装置であって、
前記鋼帯を押さえるスナバーロールと、前記スポット溶接を行うスポット溶接機とを一体とし、
前記スポット溶接機の溶接ガンは、エアシリンダを内蔵して電極を押し出すことができる構造とし、前記鋼帯コイルの中心方向に配置され、該鋼帯コイルの中心方向に直進して前記鋼帯コイルの終端部をスポット溶接することを特徴とする鋼帯コイルの終端部固定装置。
(2)前記鋼帯の幅方向に複数台の前記溶接ガンを配置することを特徴とする(1)に記載の鋼帯コイルの終端部固定装置。

このように、溶接ガン8を鋼帯コイルの中心方向に配置することによって、溶接ガン8を常にコイル外周面に対し直角に押し付けることができるので溶接性が向上するうえ、溶接ガン8を分割されたスナバーロール5の間に複数台設置することにより、鋼帯の幅方向に複数点のスポット溶接を1回の動作で行うことができるので、鋼帯の幅方向に複数回のスポット溶接を行う従来の方法に比べて溶接作業時間を著しく短縮することができる。
