【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、メーリングリストサービスシステムおよびメーリングリストサービス方法に関し、特に、利用者のメール送信履歴を参照して目的とする宛先にメールを配送することのできる、メーリングリストサービスシステムおよびメーリングリストサービス方法に関する。さらには、本発明は、そのようなメーリングリストサービスを実現するプログラムを記録した記録媒体およびそのようなメーリングリストサービスシステムを利用する広告サービスに関する。

【従来の技術】
インターネットを利用したサービスの１つに、電子メールを使って特定の複数のメンバー間で情報交換を行うことができるメーリングリストサービスがある。図８に、メーリングリストサービスを提供する従来のメーリングリストサービスシステムの概略構成を示す。

このメーリングリストサービスシステムは、複数のクライアント２００がネットワーク５０を介してサーバ５００に接続された構成となっている。サーバ５００は、ネットワーク５０を介して各クライアント２００との間でメールの送受信を行うメール配送部５１０と、メーリングリストに関するデータが格納されるメーリングリストデータ格納部５２０と、メーリングリストデータ格納部５２０へメーリングリストデータを登録するメーリングリスト登録部５３０とを備える。各クライアント２００は、それぞれネットワーク５０を介してサーバ５００との間でメールの送受信を行う機能を有する。

図９に、メーリングリストデータ格納部５２０に格納されるメーリングリストデータの一例を示す。この例では、「friend@boo.foo.woo.jp」というアドレスで割り当てられたメーリングリストの各メンバーのアドレスが「yamada@abc.def.ghi.jp」、「ZVM00294@one.two.thr.jp」、「RAT67231@mon.tue.wed.jp」、「tanaka@jan.feb.mar.jp」の４つであることを示している。

上記のメーリングリストサービスシステムでは、メール配送部５１０は、利用者であるクライアント２００からネットワーク５０を介してメーリングリスト宛てのメールを受信すると、メーリングリストデータ格納部５２０に格納されている、その受信メールの宛先であるメーリングリストデータを参照してメンバーアドレスを調べ、そのメンバーアドレス宛てに受信メールを送信する。メンバーアドレスに対応する利用者は、自分が所有するクライアント２００を用いて、送信されたメールを読むことができる。

これにより、利用者は、グループのメールアドレスの１つに、メールを送信するだけで、メーリングリストに登録された全メンバーにメールを届けることが可能となり、グループでの電子メールを用いたコミュニケーションを容易に実現することができる。

なお、上記システムにおいて、メール配送部５１０は、受信メールを配送する際に、そのメールに広告情報を添付することも可能である。

上記の他、特開平11-112552号公報に開示されているような、インターネットを介して電子メールで情報を交換するコミュニティを生成する場合において、ホームページ上に電子メールの送受信に関する情報及び被応答電子メールと応答電子メールを関連付けてツリー形状に表示する、といった付加機能を有するシステムもある。

付加機能を有するシステムとしては、さらに、特開平11-143796号公報に記載されているような、新たに参加するメーリングリストが自分に適したものであるか否かをユーザが容易に判別できるようにしたシステムもある。このシステムでは、ユーザがメーリングリストに投稿してきた電子メールの本文や引用文が解析され、例えばその出現頻度の高い複数の文字パターンがキーワードとして抽出され、各キーワードがその出現日時と共に分類して記録される。そして、ユーザからのメーリングリストにおける過去のコミュニケーション情報の要求があると、記録しておいたキーワードの出現パターンが解析され、その解析結果に基づき、メーリングリストにおける話題の寿命や、当該メーリングリストで短期間に変遷した話題を示すキーワード、あるいは、長期間話題となりそのメーリングリスト中で常識化した話題を示すキーワードなどが提示される。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上述の図８に示した従来のメーリングリストサービスシステムにおいては、サーバは単純に電子メールの配送を行うのみであり、利用者（クライアント）に対して、メールの話題に応じて付加的な情報（広告を含む）を自動的に提供することはできない。例えば、メーリングリスト内で電子メールによって交換される情報（話題）の中に「食」という言葉が頻発した場合に、特定の飲食店の情報（付加的な情報）をサーバから各クライアントへ送信する、といったことはできない。なお、図８のシステムでは、受信メールを配送する際にそのメールに広告情報を添付することが可能であるが、その場合、添付される広告情報はそのほとんどが話題に関係のないものである。そのため、利用者にとって不必要な情報が提供されてしまう。

また、利用者の中には、メーリングリストを雑談などの娯楽目的で用いる場合もあり、そのような場合において、メーリングリストサービスシステムに娯楽的な機能、例えば、利用者にあたかも人と対話してるかのような感覚を与えるような機能を追加することは、利用者の楽しみを増すという観点から有益なものである。しかし、従来のシステムでは、そのような娯楽的な機能を追加することはできない。

特開平11-112552号公報に記載のものにおいては、付加的な機能として、電子メールの送受信に関する情報及び被応答電子メールと応答電子メールを関連付けてツリー形状に表示する機能があるものの、その処理は、単にメール履歴を記録しているだけであり、また、メール履歴に対して行う処理は、メール履歴における返信の関連性を調べて対応付けているだけである。しかも、履歴情報の表示は、利用者が明示的に要求したときにのみ行われる。したがって、この公報のものにおいても、上述のメールの話題に応じた付加的な情報の自動送信や娯楽的な機能の追加を行うことはできない。

特開平11-143796号公報に記載のものにおいては、付加的な機能として、メーリングリストにおける話題の寿命や、特定の話題を示すキーワードなどを提示する機能を有するが、その処理は、メーリングリストのメール履歴から話題を抽出しているだけである。しかも、履歴情報の表示は、上記公報のものと同様、利用者が明示的に要求したときにのみ行われる。したがって、この公報のものにおいても、上述のメールの話題に応じた付加的な情報の自動送信や娯楽的な機能の追加を行うことはできない。

本発明の目的は、上記問題を解決し、メールの話題に応じた付加的な情報の自動送信や娯楽的な機能の追加が可能なメーリングリストサービスを利用した広告サービス方法を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するため、本発明の広告サービス方法は、広告主からの広告依頼に応じて、該広告の内容に対応する、エージェントメール作成方法、エージェントメール送信条件およびエージェントメール作成用データをサーバに設定するステップと、
複数のクライアントのアドレスが特定のアドレスで割り当てられたメーリングリストを参照して、該メーリングリスト宛てのメールを前記サーバから前記複数のクライアントへ送信するステップと、
前記メーリングリストを介したメール送信内容の履歴を解析し、該解析結果が前記エージェントメール送信条件を満たす場合に、前記エージェントメール作成方法に従って、前記エージェントメール作成用データからエージェントメールを作成し、該エージェントメールを前記サーバから前記複数のクライアントへ送信するステップと、を含むことを特徴とする。

また、本発明の広告サービス方法は、所定の広告サービスに関する情報を情報処理端末に表示するステップと、前記表示された広告サービス情報に基づき、所定の広告依頼情報を広告主が前記情報処理端末を用いて指定されたサーバへ送信するステップと、前記広告主からの広告依頼情報に応じて、該広告の内容に対応する、エージェントメール作成方法、エージェントメール送信条件およびエージェントメール作成用データを管理者が前記サーバに設定するステップと、複数のクライアントのアドレスが特定のアドレスで割り当てられたメーリングリストを参照して、該メーリングリスト宛てのメールを前記サーバから前記複数のクライアントへ送信するステップと、前記メーリングリストを介したメール送信内容の履歴を解析し、該解析結果が前記エージェントメール送信条件を満たす場合に、前記エージェントメール作成方法に従って、前記エージェントメール作成用データからエージェントメールを作成し、該エージェントメールを前記サーバから前記複数のクライアントへ送信するステップと、を含むことを特徴とする。

上述のように構成される本発明においては、メール送信履歴（送信時刻、送信者、題名、本文など）に応じて、所定の内容のエージェントメールが各クライアントに送信されるので、各クライアントは話題に関連した情報を受け取ることができる。したがって、従来のように利用者にとって不必要な情報が提供されてしまうことはない。

また、本発明によれば、任意に設定されたエージェントメール作成用データからエージェントメールを作成することができるので、エージェントメールとして所望の内容のものを各クライアントに送信することが可能である。例えば、エージェントメールとして、クライアントからのメールに応答するような内容のメール（例えば「こんにちは」に対して「こんにちは」といった挨拶などのメール）を送信することができる。よって、利用者に対して、あたかも人と対話してるかのように応答を行うことができる。

さらに、メール送信履歴に応じて所望の内容のエージェントメールを各クライアントに送信することが可能であることから、これを利用することにより広告サービスを提供することが可能となる。

【発明の実施の形態】
次に、本発明の実施形態について図面を参照して説明する。

図１は、本発明の一実施形態のメーリングリストサービスシステムの主要構成を示すブロック図である。このメーリングリストサービスシステムは、サーバ１００と、複数のクライアント２００と、通信ネットワーク５０とから構成される。図１中、前述の図８に示す構成と同じものには同じ符号を付しており、ここではそれらの詳細な説明は省略する。

本実施形態では、利用者に付加的な情報を提供する、または、娯楽目的の利用者の楽しみを増す、といったことを目的に、サーバ１００により所望の内容のメールが作成され、そのメールが各クライアント２００へ送信される。この送信されるメール（電子メール）をエージェントメールと呼ぶ。

サーバ１００は、ネットワーク５０を介してクライアント２００とメールの送受信を行う機能を有するメール配送部１００と、このメール配送部１００がメーリングリストに配送したメールの履歴を格納するメール履歴格納部１４０と、メーリングリストの管理データを格納するメーリングリストデータ格納部１２０と、メーリングリストデータ格納部１２０にデータを登録する機能を有するメーリングリストデータ登録部１３０と、エージェントメールを作成する機能を有するエージェントメール作成部１５０と、エージェントメールの作成に際して必要となる情報を格納するエージェントメール情報源格納部１６０と、エージェントメールの送信条件及び作成方法を格納するエージェントメール作成条件格納部１７０と、エージェントメールの制御を行う機能を有するエージェントメール制御部１８０と、を有する。

メーリングリストデータ格納部１２０に格納されるメーリングリストのデータの一例を図２に示す。この例では、「friend@boo.foo.woo.jp」というアドレスが割り当てられたメーリングリストのメンバのアドレスが、「yamada@abc.def.ghi.jp」、「ZVM00294@one.two.thr.jp」、「RAT67231@mon.tue.wed.jp」、「tanaka@jan.feb.mar.jp」の4つであることを示している。

メール履歴格納部１４０には、メール配送部１１０がメーリングリストに配送したメールに関する情報が格納される。図３に、メール履歴格納部１４０に格納されるデータの一例を示す。この例では、メール配送部１１０がメーリングリストに配送したメールのそれぞれに関して、「送信時刻」、「送信者」、「題名」、「本文」の情報が格納されている。なお、これ以外のメールの属性の情報を格納するようにしてもよい。

エージェントメール情報源格納部１６０には、エージェントメール作成部１５０がエージェントメールを作成する際に用いるデータが格納される。図４に、エージェントメール情報源格納部１６０に格納されるデータの一例を示す。この例では、「固定メッセージリスト」、「付加情報リスト」及び「付加情報詳細」に関する詳細情報が管理されている。「固定メッセージリスト」では、各ＩＤアドレス毎にメッセージの内容が管理される。例えば、「ＩＤ」が「００００２」であるメッセージの内容が「さようなら」といった内容形式で管理される。「付加情報リスト」は、キーワードとそれに対応する付加情報とを対応づけたリストである。この「付加情報リスト」では、例えば「食」または「飲」というキーワードに対する付加情報として、「ＩＤ」が「００００２」である「レストラン○○」の情報が設定される。「付加情報詳細」は、「付加情報リスト」に設定されている付加情報の詳細な内容を示すもので、例えば、「ＩＤ」が「００００２」である「レストラン○○」の詳細な情報として、「レストラン○○ 所在地 ○○市○○区1-23-4 和牛ステーキが有名。URL:http://www.ab.cd.jp/.....」といった情報が設定される。

なお、上述した本例におけるデータの内容形式は一例であり、エージェントメール情報源格納部１６０内のデータ管理の形式を規定するものではない。エージェントメール情報源格納部１６０では、サーバにおけるエージェントメール作成の目的に応じて、任意の形式でデータを格納することが可能である。また、本システムでは、エージェントメール情報源格納部１６０に格納されているデータを参照するようになっているが、これ以外のデータを参照することもできる。例えば、インターネットなどを通じて外部の情報を参照することもできる。

エージェントメール作成条件格納部１７０には、以下のようなエージェントメール送信条件およびエージェントメール作成方法に関する情報が格納される。

エージェントメール送信条件は、エージェントメール作成部１５０がメール履歴格納部１４０のデータから判定可能な条件とされる。例えば、メールの題名が「こんにちは」である場合、という条件や、送信者が特定のアドレスである場合、という条件をエージェントメール送信条件とすることができる。また、複数の履歴の組合せによる条件や現在時刻を組み合わせた条件をエージェントメール送信条件として用いてもよい。例としては、「キーワードを含むメールが３回以上送信された場合」や「１０分間以内に同じ利用者が５回以上メールを送信した場合」、さらには「２０分以上メールが送信されなかった場合」などの条件をエージェントメール送信条件として用いることができる。

上記エージェントメール送信条件の抽象度は、エージェントメール作成部１５０が持つデータ解析の機能に応じたものとなる。したがって、例えば、エージェントメール作成部１５０が高度な文書解析の機能を持つ場合は、より抽象的な条件、例えば「特定の話題で盛り上がっているか」といった条件を用いることができる。

エージェントメール作成方法は、エージェントメール作成部１５０が、メール履歴格納部１４０に格納されたメール履歴に応じて、エージェントメール情報源格納部１６０に格納されたデータからエージェントメールを作成する際の、エージェントメールの作成方法を指定するものである。例としては、「固定メッセージリストのＩＤ００００２の内容をコピー」や「固定メッセージリストのＩＤ００００６の内容と付加情報リストを組み合わせる」などがエージェントメール作成方法として指定される。

上記のエージェントメールの作成方法は、上述したエージェントメール送信条件と対応付けた形式をとることも可能である。例えば、「キーワードを含むメールが３回以上送信された場合」というエージェントメール送信条件に対応するエージェントメールの作成方法として、「そのキーワードに対応する付加情報をコピー」といった作成方法を指定することが可能である。

また、上記のエージェントメール作成方法の抽象度は、エージェントメール作成部１５０が持つ作成機能に応じたものとなる。したがって、例えばエージェントメール作成部１５０が高度な文書作成機能を持つ場合は、より抽象的な、例えば「話題に応じた付加情報をコピー」のような作成方法を指定してもよい。

エージェントメール作成部１５０は、メール履歴格納部１４０に格納されたメール履歴（データ）を解析（文書解析）し、この解析結果がエージェントメール作成条件格納部１７０に格納されているエージェントメール送信条件を満たすか否かを判定し、条件を満たす場合に、エージェントメール作成条件格納部１７０に格納されているエージェントメール作成方法に従って、エージェントメール情報源格納部１６０に格納されている任意の内容のデータからエージェントメールを作成する。このエージェントメール作成部１５０によって作成されたエージェントメールは、メール配送部１１０によって各クライアント２００に送信される。

エージェントメール情報源格納部１６０及びエージェントメール作成条件格納部１７０に格納されるデータは、サーバの管理者がエージェントメール制御部１８０により管理/登録する。サーバの管理者は、エージェントメール制御部１８０により、エージェントメール情報源格納部１６０及びエージェントメール作成条件格納部１７０に格納されるデータを管理することにより、エージェントメール作成部１５０により作成されるエージェントメールの内容や送信条件および作成条件を任意に制御することが可能である。

以上のように構成されるメーリングリストサービスシステムでは、まず、サーバ管理者によって、エージェントメール情報源格納部１６０およびエージェントメール作成条件格納部１７０のそれぞれに所望のデータ（情報）が設定される。この設定以降は、メーリングリストでのメール送信履歴に応じて、所望の内容のエージェントメールが以下のようにして各クライアント２００へ自動配送される。

各利用者は、クライアント２００からアドレス「friend@boo.foo.woo.jp」を指定してメーリングリスト宛てのメールをサーバ１００へ送信する。このメーリングリスト宛てのメールは、メール配送部１１０にて受信される。メーリングリスト宛てのメールを受信したメール配送部１１０は、その受信メールをメーリングリストに登録されている各メンバーへ送信する。このとき、メール配送部１１０がメーリングリストに配送したメールの内容、例えば「送信時刻」、「送信者」、「題名」、「本文」の情報がメール履歴格納部１４０に格納される。

メール履歴格納部１４０に格納されたメール履歴は、エージェントメール作成部１５０によって文書解析される。エージェントメール作成部１５０は、メール履歴格納部１４０に格納されたメール履歴を解析した結果がエージェントメール作成条件格納部１７０に格納されているエージェントメール送信条件を満たすか否かを判定し、条件を満たす場合には、エージェントメール作成条件格納部１７０に格納されているエージェントメール作成方法に従って、エージェントメール情報源格納部１６０に格納されている任意の内容のデータからエージェントメールを作成する。

以上のようにして作成されたエージェントメールは、メール配送部１１０によって各クライアント２００へ配送される。

以下に、このエージェントメール送信動作をさらに詳細に説明する。図５に、エージェントメール送信処理の流れを示す。

まず、エージェントメール作成部１５０は、メール履歴格納部１４０に格納されたメール履歴を解析し、該解析結果が、エージェントメール作成条件格納部１７０に格納されているエージェントメール送信条件を満たすか否かを判定する(ステップＳ１１)。例えば、このステップＳ１１では、メールの題名が「こんにちは」であるか、キーワードを含むメールが３回以上送信されたか、などの条件を満たすかどうかの判定が行われる。

エージェントメール送信条件が満たされていない場合は、エージェントメール作成部１５０はステップＳ１１の条件判定の処理を繰り返す。エージェントメール送信条件が満たされている場合は、エージェントメール作成部１５０は、エージェントメール作成条件格納部１７０に格納されているエージェントメール作成方法に従って、エージェントメール情報源格納部１６０に格納されているデータから所望の内容のエージェントメールを作成する(ステップＳ１２)。例えば、エージェントメール送信条件として、メールの題名が「こんにちは」であるか、という条件が設定されており、この条件を満たした場合には、エージェントメール情報源格納部１６０に格納されている固定メッセージリストの内容から「こんにちは」というエージェントメールが作成される。また、エージェントメール送信条件として、エージェントメール情報源格納部１６０に格納されている付加情報リスト中のキーワードの１つ（ここでは、「食／飲」とする。）を含むメールが３回以上送信されたか、という条件が設定されており、この条件を満たした場合には、エージェントメール情報源格納部１６０に格納されている付加情報詳細の「ＩＤ：００００２」の内容「レストラン○○ 所在地 ○○市○○区1-23-4 和牛ステーキが有名。URL:http://www.ab.cd.jp/.....」を含むエージェントメールが作成される。

なお、上記ステップＳ１２における判定では、エージェントメール作成条件格納部１７０に複数のエージェントメール送信条件が格納されている場合、そのすべての送信条件に対して判定を行う。

以上のようにして作成したエージェントメールは、メール配送部１１０により、メーリングリストの全メンバのクライアント２００に送信される(ステップＳ１３)。利用者は、送信されたエージェントメールの内容をクライアント２００を用いて見ることができる。

以上の処理により、メーリングリストでの送信メール履歴に応じて、サーバ１００がクライアント２００に対して、所望の内容のエージェントメールを送信することが可能となる。例えば、メーリングリスト内での話題に関係する情報を送ることが可能である。具体的には、メーリングリスト内でのメールに「食」という言葉が頻発した際に、特定の飲食店の情報をメーリングリストに登録された各クライアントに送信することが可能である。これにより、利用者に対して有益な付加情報を送信することが可能である。

また、メーリングリスト内でのコミュニケーションに応じて、サーバが挨拶や相の手などのメッセージを送信することができ、これにより、利用者に、あたかも人工的に作成された人と対話してるかのような感覚を与えることができ、娯楽目的の利用者の楽しみを増すことができる。

なお、上記の処理において、エージェントメール作成部１５０は、ステップＳ１１の判定において条件が満たされてない場合、直ちにステップＳ１１の処理を繰り返しているが、これを一定時間の間を置いて繰り返すようにしてもよい。例えば、５分間毎にステップＳ１１の処理を繰り返すようにしてもよい。また、メール配送部１１０が新規メール受信の際にエージェントメール作成部１５０に通知を行い、エージェントメール作成部１５０は通知を受けた際にステップＳ１１の処理を行うようにしてもよい。

以上説明したメーリングリストサービスは、サーバコンピュータがそのサービスに関する一連の処理プログラムが記録された記録媒体からプログラムを読み出すことにより実行される。図６に、そのサーバコンピュータの概要を示す。

図６において、サーバコンピュータ１は、データ処理装置１ａおよび記憶装置１ｂからなる。データ処理装置１ａは、上述したメール配送部１１０、メーリングリスト登録部１３０、エージェントメール作成部１５０、エージェントメール１８０から構成され、記憶装置１ｂは、上述したメーリングリストデータ格納部１２０、メール履歴格納部１４０、エージェントメール情報源格納部１６０、エージェントメール作成条件格納部１７０から構成されている。

記録媒体２は、磁気ディスク、半導体メモリ、その他の記録媒体であて、上述したメーリングリストサービスに関する一連の処理プログラムが書き込まれている。具体的には、
（ａ）複数のクライアントのアドレスが特定のアドレスで割り当てられたメーリングリストを参照して、該メーリングリスト宛てのメールを複数のクライアントに対して送信するメール送信処理、
（ｂ）メーリングリストを用いたメール送信の履歴を解析する解析処理、
（ｃ）上記解析結果が所定のエージェントメール送信条件を満たす場合に、所定のエージェントメール作成方法に従って、任意に設定されたエージェントメール作成用データからエージェントメールを作成するエージェントメール作成処理、
（ｄ）エージェントメール作成処理で作成されたエージェントメールを複数のクライアントに対して送信するエージェントメール送信処理、
などをサーバコンピュータに実行させるためのプログラムが記録されている。

サーバコンピュータ１は、記録媒体２に記録されているプログラムを読み出し、読み出したプログラムの内容に従って前述したようなエージェントメール送信処理などを行う。

（他の実施形態）
上述したメーリングリストサービスシステムにおいて、エージェントメールを広告媒体として利用することで、広告サービスを実現することができる。この広告サービスは、主に、次の３つのステップからなる。

（ａ）サーバ管理者が、広告主からの広告依頼に応じて、該広告の内容に対応する、エージェントメール作成方法、エージェントメール送信条件およびエージェントメール作成用データをサーバに設定する。

（ｂ）複数のクライアントのアドレスが特定のアドレスで割り当てられたメーリングリストを参照して、該メーリングリスト宛てのメールをサーバから複数のクライアントへ送信する。

（ｃ）上記メーリングリストを用いたメール送信の履歴を解析し、該解析結果が上記エージェントメール送信条件を満たす場合に、上記エージェントメール作成方法に従って、上記エージェントメール作成用データからエージェントメールを作成し、該エージェントメールをサーバから複数のクライアントへ送信する。

この広告サービスによれば、メーリングリストサービスの利用者に対して、メール送信履歴に応じた適切な広告（話題に関連した広告）を適宜提供することができる。
