Description

【0001】

[0001]
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a fuel cell case, and more particularly to a fuel cell case that houses a fuel cell stack.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In-vehicle fuel cells are usually sealed by a sealing member so as not to leak from the fuel cell stack except for slight permeation from the sealing member of hydrogen as fuel, air as oxidant, and cooling water. In order to prevent the intrusion of rainwater and prevent electric shock, it is housed in a highly airtight case.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
There is no problem with air or cooling water that has permeated slightly from the sealing member, but hydrogen that has permeated slightly from the sealing member needs to be released from the case to the outside air, considering its ignitability. . Further, a seal member for preventing leakage of hydrogen or air generally causes aging due to aging, and hydrogen or air may leak from the fuel cell stack. In this case as well, it is necessary to release hydrogen from the case to the outside air.
[0004]
The fuel cell case of the present invention is intended to reduce the hydrogen concentration in the case by releasing a slight amount of hydrogen permeating through the seal member of the fuel cell stack or hydrogen leaking from the fuel cell stack to the outside air from the case. I will.
[0005]
[Means for solving the problems and their functions and effects]
The fuel cell case of the present invention employs the following means in order to achieve at least a part of the above object.
[0006]
The fuel cell case of the present invention comprises:
A fuel cell case for storing a fuel cell stack using gaseous fuel ,
The gist is to provide a gas permeable portion that does not allow liquid to pass through but allows gas to pass therethrough.
[0007]
In the fuel cell case according to the present invention , the gas does not permeate through the gas permeation section, that is, the liquid such as rainwater is prevented from entering, but the gas such as hydrogen or air is permeated. Ventilation can be performed.
[0008]
In the fuel cell case of the present invention , the gas permeable portion may be a hydrogen permeable portion that does not transmit water but transmits at least hydrogen. In the fuel cell case of the present invention according to this aspect, the hydrogen permeable portion may be constituted by a through hole formed in the case and a hydrogen permeable membrane that seals the through hole.
[0009]
In the fuel cell case of the present invention , the gas permeable part may be formed on an upper part of the case. If it carries out like this, hydrogen lighter than air can permeate | transmit to the exterior more, and the efficiency of ventilation can be made high.
[0010]

[0013]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described using examples. FIG. 1 is a configuration diagram showing an outline of the configuration of a fuel cell case 20 according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in the figure, the fuel cell case 20 of the embodiment is provided with a ventilation part 22 composed of a ventilation opening 24 for ventilation and a hydrogen permeable membrane 26 for sealing the ventilation opening 24 at the top of the case. The parts other than the ventilation part 22 are sealed so that the stored fuel cell stack 10 is completely sealed from the outside.
[0014]
The hydrogen permeable membrane 22 is made of a material that does not transmit water but allows gas such as hydrogen and air to pass therethrough, for example, a porous material.
[0015]
The fuel cell stack 10 of the embodiment configured in this way now has a small amount of hydrogen as fuel passing through the seal member or when hydrogen leaks due to deterioration of the seal member. think of. Hydrogen from the fuel cell stack 10 diffuses into the case, but collects in the ventilation part 22 provided at the top of the case because it is lighter than air. The hydrogen collected in the ventilation unit 22 passes through the hydrogen permeable membrane 26 and is discharged from the case.
[0016]
According to the fuel cell case 20 of the embodiment described above, since the hydrogen permeated through the seal member of the fuel cell stack 10 and the hydrogen leaked from the fuel cell stack 10 are ventilated by the ventilation unit 22, The increase in the hydrogen concentration can be suppressed. Moreover, since the ventilation part 22 is provided at the uppermost part of the case, the ventilation efficiency of hydrogen can be increased.
[0017]
In the fuel cell case 20 of the embodiment , the ventilation part 22 is provided at the uppermost part of the case. However, the ventilation part 22 only needs to be ventilated. In the fuel cell case 20 of the embodiment, only one ventilation part 22 is provided at the uppermost part of the case, but a plurality of ventilation parts may be provided.
