Description
その各々が相応する椎骨体に固定された第一の端部と、膨大する中間部分と、第二のねじ付き端部とを有する少なくとも2つの肉茎ねじを備えるかかる装置は既知である。椎骨の間を伸びるロッドを締結するアーチ部分が設けられた補助部材が上述した膨大部分の各々に配置されている。各ねじのねじ付き端部と協働するボルトは、補助部材が所定の位置に配置されたならば、該補助部材の各々を適宜な仕方にて固定することを可能にする。
−椎骨又は仙骨に固定すべき少なくとも1つの固定要素と、
−該又は各々の固定要素に対して変位するのに適した少なくとも1つの可動の連結要素と、
−該又は各々の可動の要素が該又は各々の固定の要素に対して関節動作するのを許容する少なくとも1つの中間要素とを備え、
−該又は各々の中間要素が、使用時、可動要素又は固定要素の内部容積内に受け入れられ、中間要素が変形して、貫入することにより上記内部容積内に導入することができるようにし、
−固定の要素又は可動の要素が、使用時、少なくとも部分的に中間要素の内部容積内に受け入れられ、固定の要素又は可動の要素は、中間要素に対し、固定の要素又は可動の要素が回転3自由度を有するが、中間要素に対する並進については連結されている、相互の使用位置を有し、固定の要素又は可動の要素が中間の要素に対して回転自由度及び並進自由度において3自由度を有する位置にある相互の導入位置を有することを特徴とする、椎体間連結装置に関する。
−中間要素はカップの形態をとり、
−中間カップの内部容積は截頭球形面により境が設定され、
−中間カップは内面と同心状の截頭球形の外面を有し、
−内面及び外面が中間カップの壁を画成し、
−壁の厚さが0.5から3mm、好ましくは、1から1.5mmであり、
−中間要素はポリエチレンから製造される。
図1に示した連結装置は、椎骨体(図示せず)内に固定すべき肉茎ねじ2を備えている。
壁22の外面26は、その直径がハウジング16の直径Lと同一である球の一部分を画成する。更に、カップ20の内部容積30を形成する壁22の内面28は、ヘッド部4の直径と等しい直径Dを有する。
カップ20は、ポリエチレンのような変形可能な材料で製造されることを認識すべきである。この特徴は、壁22の厚さと関係し、カップ20を貫入により可動の要素10のハウジング16内に導入することを可能にする。壁22の厚さeは、例えば、0.5から3mm、好ましくは、1から1.5mmとする。
最初に、カップ20を、可動の要素10の内部容積16内に導入しなければならない。
この目的のため、平坦部分6が図3Aにて水平に、すなわち、カップ20の主要軸線に対し垂直に伸びるような仕方にてねじ2を最初に傾斜させる。次に、カップ20をカップ20の主要軸線に対し平行な平行移動状態(矢印F´)に従ってねじ2に接近させる。
その後、平坦部分6が、最早、上述した開口部32の方を向かないような仕方にてヘッド部4をハウジング内で枢動させる。この使用位置(図3B)において、ヘッド部4は、ハウジング30に対し枢動自在であるが、カップ20に対する並進自由度を有さない。
取り付けの1つの変形例として、最初に、肉茎ねじの各々を相応する椎骨体内に固定することが可能である。次に、カップ20の各々を図2Aから図2Cにて説明するように、可動の要素の相応する内部容積16内に導入する。
本発明の装置が図3Bの形態に配置されたならば、ねじ36のような好ましいように除去可能なストッパ手段を平坦面6に装着することも可能である。該ねじは、カップ20に対するヘッド部4の枢動を制限することにより、ヘッド部が図3のその位置に戻るのを防止し、このことは、カップ20とねじ2との間の全ての意図しない分離を回避することになる。
従って、中間カップ20は、可動の要素ではなく茎ねじに設けられたハウジング内に受け入れられてもよい。このような条件の下では、可動の要素が、中間カップの内部容積内に導入されるのに適した、ヘッド部4と同様の球形ヘッド部を有している。
本発明の椎体間連結装置を構成する色々な要素は比較的簡単な構造を有する。
中間要素を貫入によって可動要素又は固定要素の内部容積に導入することが可能であるから、これら要素の組み立ては、外科医にとって特に容易である。
更に、中間要素は変形可能であり、このことはその取り付けを容易にする場合でさえ、そのハウジング内に導入されたならば、該中間要素は実質的に剛性となることを認識すべきである。ハウジングの硬い壁により付与されるこの剛性は、植込まれたならば、装置に対し満足し得る安定性を提供する。
Claims (8)
- 少なくとも2つの椎骨を互いに接続するために設計された椎体間連結装置であって、
椎骨又は仙骨に強固に固定されるように設計された少なくとも1つの固定要素(2)と、
1つの前記固定要素(2)又は各々の前記固定要素(2)に対して動くことができる少なくとも1つの可動の連結要素(10)と、
1つの前記可動の連結要素又は各々の前記可動の連結要素が1つの前記固定要素又は各々の前記固定要素に対して関節動作するのを許容する少なくとも1つの中間要素(20)とを備え、
1つの前記中間要素又は各々の前記中間要素が、使用時、前記中間要素が変形することができる状態で、前記可動の連結要素(10)又は前記固定要素の内部容積(16)内に導入されて、前記内部容積内にはめ込むことにより導入されることができ、
前記固定要素(2)又は前記可動の連結要素が、使用時、少なくとも部分的に前記中間要素(20)の内部容積(30)内に導入され、
前記固定要素(2)又は前記可動の連結要素は、前記固定要素又は前記可動の連結要素が前記中間要素に対する回転の3自由度を有するが前記中間要素に対する並進については固定されている、前記中間要素と使用する際の相互位置(図3B)を有するとともに、前記固定要素又は前記可動の連結要素が前記中間要素に対する回転及び並進の3自由度を有する、導入の間の相互位置(図3A)を有し、
前記導入が、前記固定要素(2)又は前記可動の連結要素(10)の球形ヘッド部(4)に形成された赤道面平坦部分(6)を介して許容され、前記赤道面平坦部分(6)が、前記固定要素(2)又は前記可動の連結要素をそれぞれ貫く主要軸線(A)に対して垂直ではないことを特徴とする、椎体間連結装置。 - 前記中間要素が、カップ(20)の形態をとることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の連結装置。
- 前記中間要素のカップ(20)の前記内部容積(30)の縁部が、截頭球形面(28)であることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の連結装置。
- 前記中間要素のカップが、前記截頭球形面の内面(28)と同心状の截頭球形外面(26)を有することを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の連結装置。
- 前記截頭球形面の内面(28)及び前記截頭球形外面(26)が、前記中間要素のカップ(20)の側壁(22)を画成することを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の連結装置。
- 前記側壁(22)の厚さ(e)が、0.5から3mmであることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の連結装置。
- 前記側壁(22)の厚さ(e)が、1から1.5mmであることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の連結装置。
- 前記中間要素(20)がポリエチレンで製造されることを特徴とする、請求項1から7の何れか1つに記載の連結装置。
