実施例1
図2に示した処理装置を用いてろ過を行った。ろ材6として芯部ポリエステル、鞘部ポリエチレンの熱融着繊維(ユニチカ製、タイプ6080)からなる目付23g/m2の部分的に熱圧着処理が施されたスパンボンド不織布を折り畳み熱処理して空隙率90%、直径8mmφ、長さ8mmLの棒状繊維ろ材に形成したものを用いた。ろ過条件としては、ろ材の充填高さ500mm、ろ過速度を500m/日、ろ過原水としては、雨天時合流式下水道の流入下水を用いた。前回のろ過運転停止から7日間、ろ過槽の水を抜いた状態から通水を開始し、原水の通水によりろ材が均等に浮上し、ろ過1時間で2.9kPa、4時間まで2.9kPaの圧力損失であり、その後、ろ過を5時間継続したが3.4kPa以上の圧力上昇は見られなかった。ろ過5時間目にはろ材層へのSS捕捉量が21kg-SS/m2-ろ材となり、局所スクリーンより上部に1割程度のろ材が存在した。なお、この時の流入下水及びろ過処理水のSS濃度の平均値は、260mg/L及び55mg/Lであり、SS除去率は80%程度であった。

- 合流式下水道において、晴天時の流入水は最初沈殿池で夾雑物やSSを除去した後に反応槽と最終沈殿池に導入して処理し、雨天時に下水処理場へ流入する計画汚水量を超過した流入下水を、ろ材を充填したろ過槽に上向流で通水してろ過処理し、最初沈殿池に導入することなく放流し、降雨終了後にろ過槽に滞留した汚濁物質を排出し、該汚濁物質を最初沈殿池の前段に戻し、最初沈殿池を経て反応槽、最終沈殿池で処理を行い、晴天時には前記ろ過槽に滞水させずに待機する合流式下水道における処理方法において、前記ろ過槽が、ろ材層の下部に全面スクリーンを、ろ材層の上部には、ろ過の通水抵抗の上昇に伴いスクリーンの下側に存在するろ材の一部又は全部がスクリーンの上側に移行することで圧力損失の上昇が抑制され得る局所スクリーンを備えるものであり、降雨終了までろ材を洗浄することなくろ過処理を継続することを特徴とする合流式下水道における処理方法。
- ろ過槽の前記ろ材として、ろ過運転時に浮上し空隙率が80%以上であるろ材を用いることを特徴とする請求項1記載の合流式下水道における処理方法。
- ろ過槽のろ材層下部にろ材を攪拌する散気設備を配設し、ろ材を攪拌洗浄しながら雨天時に捕捉した汚濁物質を排出することを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の合流式下水道における処理方法。
