【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、降圧及び昇圧して安定した直流電圧を出力するコンバータ装置、このコンバータ装置を備えた空気調和装置及びコンバータ装置を備えた系統連系システムに関する。

【従来の技術】
一般に、商用電源の交流電圧を整流した直流電圧を、降圧又は昇圧するコンバータ装置が知られている(例えば、特許文献1参照。)。

また、エンジンにて駆動される圧縮機を有する空気調和装置が知られている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上記のコンバータ装置では、商用電源のように電圧変動がほとんどない安定した電源を用いるのが前提であり、例えば、空気調和装置の圧縮機を駆動するエンジンを動力源とする発電機のように、電圧が変動する電源を用いる場合は、コンバータ装置の出力電圧も不安定になるおそれが生じる。

本発明の目的は、上述の事情を考慮してなされたものであり、入力電圧が変動しても出力電圧の安定化を図るコンバータ装置、コンバータ装置を備えた空気調和装置及びコンバータ装置を備えた系統連系システムを提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するため、コンバータ装置は、直流電源ラインに、降圧スイッチング素子とリアクトルと第1ダイオードとを順に設け、前記降圧スイッチング素子の出力端に第2ダイオードの出力端を接続し、前記リアクトルの出力端に昇圧スイッチング素子の出力端を接続し、前記第1ダイオードの出力端にコンデンサの出力端を接続してなり、
前記直流電源ラインの出力端における出力電圧を目標直流電圧に近づけるべく、前記直流電源ラインの入力端における入力電圧が、前記目標直流電圧よりも高い所定の第1電圧を上回った場合、この所定の第1電圧よりも低い所定の第2電圧に低下するまで前記降圧スイッチング素子をPWM制御するとともに前記昇圧スイッチング素子をOFF制御し、前記入力電圧が、前記所定の第2電圧を下回った場合、前記所定の第1電圧に上昇するまで前記降圧スイッチング素子をON制御するとともに前記昇圧スイッチング素子をPWM制御する制御手段を備えたことを特徴としている。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の一実施の形態を、図面に基づき説明する。

図1は、本発明に係る空気調和装置の一例としてのガスエンジン駆動型のヒートポンプ式の空気調和装置の第1実施の形態における冷媒回路等を示す回路図である。

この図1に示すように、ヒートポンプ式の空気調和装置10は、室外機11、室内機12及び電力変換装置13を有してなる。この電力変換装置13は、例えば、室外機11に設置される。電力変換装置13は、交流電圧を直流電圧に変換するコンバータ装置40と、直流電圧を交流電圧に変換して負荷に電力を供給するインバータ装置41とを備えている。

室外機11は室外に設置される。室外機11の構成を説明すると、室外機11の室外冷媒配管27には圧縮機16が配設されるとともに、この圧縮機16の吸込側にアキュムレータ15が配設され、圧縮機16の吐出側に油分離器17、逆止弁18及び四方弁19が順次配設され、この四方弁19側に室外熱交換器20、室外膨張弁21が順次配設されて構成される。室外熱交換器20には、負圧を利用してこの室外熱交換器20へ外気(空気)を送風する室外ファン22が隣接して配置されている。この室外ファン22は、室外ファンモータ23によって駆動される。室外ファン22は、例えば、軸流ファン(例えば、プロペラファン)である。圧縮機16は、フレキシブルカップリング(ベルト・プーリー)24等を介してガスエンジン25に連結され、このガスエンジン25により駆動される。

室内機12は室内に設置され、室内冷媒配管28に室内熱交換器30が配設されるとともに、室内冷媒配管28において室内熱交換器30の近傍に室内膨張弁31が配設されて構成される。上記室内熱交換器30には、これらの室内熱交換器30から室内へ送風する室内ファン32が隣接して配置されている。この室内ファン32は、室内ファンモータ33によって駆動される。室内ファン32は、例えば、クロスフローファンである。

室外機11は、不図示の制御装置により運転制御される。具体的に、制御装置により室外機11におけるガスエンジン25(即ち圧縮機16)の回転数、四方弁19の切り換え、室外ファン22の回転数及び室外膨張弁21の開度等がそれぞれ制御される。

ガスエンジン25(即ち圧縮機16)は、空調負荷に応じて回転数が制御される。つまり、空調負荷が低負荷状態であればガスエンジン25(即ち圧縮機16)の回転数を低下させる制御が行われ、空調負荷が高負荷状態であればガスエンジン25(即ち圧縮機16)の回転数を増加させる制御が行われる。

また、四方弁19が切り換えられることにより、空気調和装置10が冷房運転又は暖房運転に設定される。つまり、四方弁19を冷房側に切り換えたときには、冷媒が実線矢印の如く流れ、室外熱交換器20が凝縮器に、室内熱交換器27が蒸発器になって冷房運転状態となり、室内熱交換器27が室内を冷房する。また、四方弁19を暖房側に切り換えたときには、冷媒が破線矢印の如く流れ、室内熱交換器27が凝縮器に、室外熱交換器20が蒸発器になって暖房運転状態となり、室内熱交換器27が室内を暖房する。

圧縮機16を駆動するガスエンジン23には、商用電源39以外の電源としての発電機38が接続されている。つまり、発電機38は、フレキシブルカップリング(ベルト・プーリー)26等を介してガスエンジン25に連結され、このガスエンジン25を動力源として発電するものである。例えば、この発電機25は、ガスエンジン25の駆動により、三相交流電圧を発生するものである。

尚、各IGBT52、53には、電流の逆流の発生に対する保護を行う保護ダイオード58、59がそれぞれ設けられている。さらに、コンデンサ57の出力端Q1には、DC−DC変換部44への電流の逆流を防止する逆流防止ダイオード60が直流電源ラインLに設けられている。そして、図2に示すように、コンバータ装置40の直流電源ラインLの出力端を、逆流防止ダイオード60の出力端Q1’(カソード側)としている。逆流防止ダイオード60における電圧降下は、出力電圧Voに対して無視できる程度に小さいので、直流電源ラインLの出力端Q1’と、点Q1とは略同電位であるといえる。また、直流電源ラインL’の出力端Q2’と点Q2とは、同電位である。

制御装置45は、コンバータ装置40、即ちDC−DC変換部44を制御するものである。つまり、制御装置45は、直流電源ラインLの点Q1(即ち、直流電源ラインL、L’の点Q1、Q2間)における出力電圧Voを目標直流電圧Vtに近づけるべく、直流電源ラインLの入力端P1(即ち、直流電源ラインL、L’の入力端P1、P2間)における入力電圧Viに応じて、IGBT52及び53の動作を制御する。

さらに、制御装置45は、フラグFGを0または1に設定する機能を備えている。具体的には、マイクロコンピュータ64がフラグFGを設定し、そのフラグFGの値を記憶するものである。

具体的に、降圧の制御を行う場合、制御装置45は、IGBT52のゲートにPWM信号Aを出力してIGBT52をPWM制御するとともに、IGBT53のゲートに電圧を印加せず、IGBT53をOFF状態にして昇圧動作を行わないようにIGBT53をOFF制御するものである。このIGBT52のPWM制御、即ち、PWM信号Aのパルス幅の調整(デューティ比の調整)により、降圧の制御が行われる。

例えば、図3に示すように、降圧制御を行っている場合、入力電圧Viに応じて出力電圧Voを目標直流電圧Vtにすべく、IGBT52のゲートに入力するPWM信号Aのパルス幅(デューティ比)を調整する。つまり、入力電圧Viが低下してきたらPWM信号AにおけるON期間Xを長くするように、PWM信号Aのパルス幅(デューティ比)を調整する。これによって、出力電圧Voを一定に保つことができる。言い換えれば、入力電圧Viが変動しても、出力電圧Voを一定の電圧に安定して出力することが可能である。

また、昇圧の制御を行う場合、制御装置45は、IGBT52のゲートに電圧を印加してIGBT52をON状態にして導通状態にするON制御を行うとともに、IGBT53のゲートにPWM信号Bを出力してIGBT53をPWM制御するものである。このIGBT53のPWM制御、即ち、PWM信号Bのパルス幅の調整(デューティ比の調整)により、昇圧の制御が行われる。

例えば、図4に示すように、昇圧制御を行っている場合、入力電圧Viに応じて出力電圧Voを目標直流電圧Vtにすべく、IGBT53のゲートに入力するPWM信号Bのパルス幅(デューティ比)を調整する。つまり、入力電圧Viが上昇してきたらPWM信号BにおけるON期間Yを短くするように、PWM信号Bのパルス幅(デューティ比)を調整する。これによって、出力電圧Voを一定に保つことができる。言い換えれば、入力電圧Viが変動しても、出力電圧Voを一定の電圧に安定して出力することが可能である。

ここで、例えば、発電機38の発電により生じる電圧、即ち、入力電圧Viが所定電圧以下のときには、負荷であるファンモータ23への電力供給量が著しく低下してしまうので、商用電源39から電力供給できるように、昇圧を行わないようにしてもよい。この所定電圧とは、負荷への電力供給量が著しく低下してしまうような電圧である。

所定の第1電圧VH及び所定の第2電圧VLは、コンバータ装置40のDC−DC変換部44における電圧降下を勘案し、出力電圧Voの目標である目標直流電圧Vtの値よりも高く設定するのが好ましい。

つまり、実際は、DC−DC変換部44にわずかに存在する抵抗成分における電圧降下があるので、この抵抗成分による電圧降下を見込んで所定の第1電圧VH及び所定の第2電圧VLを、出力電圧Voの目標である目標直流電圧Vtの値よりも高く設定している。
