底板部及び該底板部の周縁より立ち上がらせた配置の周壁部によって形成され、電子部品の一部又は全部が収容される電子部品収容部を有するソケットハウジングと、該ソケットハウジングの開口部外に施蓋される導電性材料からなるシールド蓋体と、前記電子部品収容部内に突出し、前記電子部品の端子部に弾性的に接触する複数のコンタクトとを備え、該コンタクトを介して前記電子部品をプリント配線基板に接続させる電子部品取付用ソケットにおいて、
前記ソケットハウジングの底板部を絶縁材からなるコンタクト保持盤をもって構成し、該コンタクト保持盤に前記コンタクトを保持させ、該コンタクトの弾性接触片部をコンタクト保持盤の上面側に、端子片部を同下面側に露出させ、
前記周壁部は、前記電子部品収容部の周囲を囲む配置に設置した導電性板材からなるシールド周壁体のみをもって構成し、
該シールド周壁体は、その下縁に突設した周壁体固定用突片を、前記コンタクト保持盤の表面に開口させた周壁体固定用孔に圧入することによって該コンタクト保持盤に対して固定させたことを特徴としてなる電子部品取付用ソケット。
