Description
【0001】
これら撮影画像ファイルのファイル形式や、フォルダ構造などは、DCF(Design rule of Camera File system)規格によって決められている。

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an image filing apparatus for filing an image file on a recording medium.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Image data shot by a digital camera is stored as an image file in a memory card such as a smart media (product name), for example. Since the memory card has a small storage capacity, the stored image file must be copied and stored on an optical disk such as a CD-R (Compact Disk-Recordable) medium having a relatively large capacity. CD-ROM drives that read data from CD-R media are built into most personal computers, so if you save image files on CD-R media, you can easily play back image files. It is.
[0003]
CD-R drives for writing data to CD-R media have also become widespread. If a personal computer with a built-in CD-R drive is connected to a digital camera, the image file recorded on the memory card can be copied to the CD-R media. Can do.
[0004]
When copying to this CD-R, for example, a folder is created for each memory card, and a plurality of image files in the memory card are collectively stored as one album in that folder. And save it, it is easy to search for the saved image.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, when filing an image file with a personal computer, various operations such as an operation for starting CD-R writing software and an operation for selecting an image file to be copied are required. As described above, filing work using a personal computer is time-consuming for a person unfamiliar with the personal computer.
[0006]
Also, when searching for a desired image from a plurality of stored albums, it is difficult to search while reproducing and displaying the images, so it is convenient to have an index image of the album. In particular, the need for index images increases as the number of albums filed and the number of CD-R media on which they are stored increases. However, in order to create such an index image using a personal computer, dedicated image display software or the like is required. For those who are not familiar with personal computers, it is time-consuming as well as filing work. there were.
[0007]
In order to solve the above-described problems, an object of the present invention is to provide an image filing apparatus capable of easily performing image filing work and image search.

The EXIF format is obtained by adding EXIFTAG data in addition to captured image data. The captured image data is recorded, for example, in JPEG format in which the image data is compressed and stored. As the format of the captured image data, in addition to this JPEG, a TIFF (Tagged Imafe File Format) format composed of image data and a TAG that records information indicating the storage position of the data in the file may be used. . Further, the EXIF format can include thumbnail image data for use in index display or the like. The file name of the captured image file is also determined by the DCF. When JPEG is used as the format of the captured image data, the file names of the captured image files MA1 to MAn are DSCF0001 to n. It becomes JPG.
[0037]
The EXIFTAG data includes shooting condition data regarding shooting conditions such as an exposure value, a focal length, and the presence or absence of strobe light emission, and MakerNoteTAG data. The MakerNoteTAG is an area where each camera manufacturer can freely set information unique to the manufacturer. In this area, for example, model data used for photographing is recorded. Data such as the shooting date is also recorded as the EXIFTAG data.

[0050]
Each disk serial number assigned in this way is a unique number in a plurality of original CD-Rs, and can therefore be used as disk identification information for identifying a plurality of original CD-Rs.
[0051]
FIG. 6 shows the folder structure of the original CD-R. As for the album data, each folder 51a, 51b, 51c,... Is created for each album, and is stored together in each folder. The name of each folder is given so that each name is unique within one original CD-R. Thereby, each album is identified. In this example, each folder name is created such that the name of the folder 51a of the
[0052]
Further, the captured image files in each of the folders 51a, 51b, 51c... Are sorted and stored in the order of creation date. Then, new file names are assigned in the sorted order. In this example, “DSCF0001” is added to the beginning, and the file name is assigned sequentially.

Each frame number and creation date are printed under each frame image PIC1 to PIC24. As the frame number, a part of the file name of the captured image file corresponding to the frame image (sequence number below DSCF) is added with the name of the folder in which the file is stored. Therefore, it is possible to easily search for a corresponding captured image file from this frame number.
[0059]
In this example, a part of the file name is used for the frame number, but the purpose is to identify each file in one album, so if the identification is possible, the entire file name is used. May be. The entire folder name is used for the frame number. The purpose is to identify which album in the original CD-R the frame image belongs to. If so, only a part of the folder name may be used.
[0060]
FIG. 9 shows an ID assignment rule for the index print ID. The index print ID is identification information of the index print 111 and includes a disk serial number, a session number, a page number, and the total number of pages. The disk serial number and session number are read from the file management

Since the data of one album and the one session which is a data writing unit to the CD-
[0062]
With this album identification information, it is easy to determine which CD-R among the plurality of original CD-Rs the desired photographed image is stored, and in which album of the original CD-R. Can be identified. Therefore, it is possible to very easily search for a plurality of stored albums and images.
[0063]
The total number of pages is the total number of index print pages created from one album. Since the number of frames that can be printed in one index print 111 is 24 frames, if one album contains captured images of 24 frames or more, the index print 111 of the album becomes a plurality of sheets. . For this reason, the index prints 111 can be easily organized by indicating the total number of pages of the index print and the number of pages.
