本発明は、重ね合わせたシート状物をシールするシール装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
着用物品の一部を融着してシールする装置としては、下記の特許文献1,2が知られている。下記特許文献1では、ホーンおよびアンビルが各々、回転部に複数設けられている。下記特許文献2では、複数のアンビルを備えたアンビルロールの外方にホーンが1つ設けられている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、前記特許文献1,2には、回転部の外周囲に複数の回転しないホーンを設けることは開示されていない。
複数のホーンを回転させると、超音波ウェルダも同時に回転させる必要があり、シール装置のコストアップを招く。
一方、複数のホーンを設けることにより、シールに必要な時間を稼ぐことができ、シート状物の搬送速度を大きくすることができる。

図1に示すように、本シール装置1は、連続したシート状物Wを搬送しながら、図5のシート状物Wのシール対象部位Wsに超音波振動を与えて当該シール対象部位Wsを熱融着させるものである。シート状物Wは、たとえば互いに重ね合わされた複数枚のシートを含む中間品であってもよい。なお、図5に示すように、中間品Wは前記シール対象部位Wsである接着領域において、シート同士が互いに接着(シール)された後、切断線CL において切断されて個々の製品(パンツやオムツ)となる。

なお、超音波によるエネルギーを付与する時期(タイミング)の制御は、つまり、超音波発生手段の作動制御は、ドラム20の位相をロータリーエンコーダなどの回転検出器で検出し、その検出出力に基づいて行ってもよい。

なお、図4(b)に示すように、ホーン11の表面11aにカッタ13を設け、前記接着と同時に切断を行うようにしてもよい。なお、カッタ13を設けた場合、切断する瞬間にホーン11がドラム20の径方向の中心に向って移動してもよい。
また、ホーン11の表面11aにシールパターン12を形成する代わりに、アンビル21の表面にシールパターンを形成してもよい。

各パッドはシート状物Wの受取時に吸引孔によりシート状物Wを吸引し、シート状物Wの受渡時には、吸引孔からの吸引を停止すると共に、該吸引孔からエアを吹き出すようにしてもよい。

前記パッド22には、シート状物Wを負圧で吸着する吸引孔が設けられていてもよい。前記パッド22にはアンビル21が一体に設けられていてもよい。前記アンビル21は、ドラム20の径方向の外方に向って突出しており、図2(c)に示すように、ホーン11に対向した際に、ホーン11に近接する。前記パッド22におけるアンビル21の上流側部分23および下流側部分24は、シート状物Wのコア部Cを配置可能となるように、前記アンビル21の表面よりもドラム20の内方に退避している。
超音波ウエルダ10のホーン11の上流側近傍には第1ローラ31が設けられており、ホーン11の下流側近傍には第2ローラ32が設けられていてもよい。両ローラ31,32は、回転自在なフリーローラであってもよい。

前記両ローラ31,32は、コア部Cがホーン11に衝突しないように、コア部Cの表面に接触してコア部Cをパッド22に押し付ける。かかる衝突防止の機能を十分に発揮させるために、両ローラ31,32の表面からドラム20の回転中心O(図1)までの距離は、ホーン11の表面からドラム20の回転中心Oまでの距離と等しいか、あるいは、短く設定されていてもよい。
図2に示すように、アンビル21の上にコア部Cが載っていない正常な状態においては、第2ローラ32を設けていなくても、第1ローラ31が前記機能を発揮する。

図2に示すように、シート状物Wが所定の状態でドラム20上に載っている場合は、アンビル21上にシール対象部位Wsが吸着され、一方、アンビル21の両側の部分23,24にコア部Cが吸着される。パッド22がホーン11の内側に接近すると、前記第1ローラ31が上流側部分23上のコア部Cを押し潰し、コア部Cの高さを低くする。これにより、図2(a),(b)のように、上流側のコア部Cおよびシール対象部位Wsがホーン11に衝突することなくホーン11の内方に近接した状態で、シート状物Wが搬送される。
