BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a head mat laid under the head of a subject at the time of imaging by a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus. The present invention relates to a head mat that can be suppressed.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In general, when imaging with a medical modality such as a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus while the subject is laid on a bed, a pillow, that is, a head mat is often placed under the head of the subject. This is especially necessary when diagnosing the head. By laying the mat, the patient can take a comfortable sleeping posture by the pillow function, and can also suppress the movement of the head.
[0003]
Conventionally, the head mat having the structure shown in FIGS. 6 and 7 is used as the head mat that also functions as a pillow function and a movement suppressing function. These mats are all arranged on the inner peripheral surface side of the QD coil unit (RF coil) of the magnetic resonance imaging apparatus.

Furthermore, the above-described
[0010]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned unsolved problems of the prior art, and refers to a large number of subjects (here, a large number of patients having various head sizes as well as a specific head size). It is an object of the present invention to provide a head mat for medical imaging using a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus , which can function as a pillow and suppress inadvertent movement of the head.
[0011]
Further, the present invention is based on a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus that fits a large number of subjects, functions as a pillow, can suppress inadvertent movement of the head, and does not impose an operational burden on the operator. Another object is to provide a head mat for medical imaging.
[0012]
Furthermore, the present invention fits many subjects, functions as a pillow, suppresses inadvertent movement of the head, and easily and more accurately positions the patient's head and the RF coil. It is another object to provide a head mat that can be used for medical imaging with a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus .
[0013]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
To achieve the above object, according to the present invention, a head for use have laid under the head of the subject at the time of imaging by magnetic resonance imaging apparatus with a head RF coil of the magnetic resonance imaging apparatus in mats, and mats body formed of a member flexible, the people left respectively of the mat end is positioned on the head neck side on the mat body, and the formed bulge in member having flexibility, said mat A cover that covers the main body and the bulge portion and that is provided with a marker that represents a sensitivity region of the RF coil for the head is provided .
[0014]
Thereby, it fits on many subjects, functions as a pillow, and can suppress inadvertent movement of the head. Therefore, each time the patient (subject) changes, it is possible to eliminate or greatly reduce the operator's trouble of replacing the head mat and adjusting the fit. In addition, artifacts due to the movement of the medical imaging image can be reduced, and the image quality is improved. Furthermore, positioning of the patient's head and the RF coil can be performed easily and more accurately.
[0015]
In the above-described configuration, it is preferable that the position of each of the two bulging portions formed at the left and right end portions be provided with means capable of fine adjustment on at least the left and right directions on the mat body.
[0016]
According to a preferred example, the RF coil for the head is a QD coil, and the head mat is placed on the inner peripheral surface of the QD coil .
[0017]
Further, preferably, the marker has at least two indicating both end portions of the sensitivity region, and the region sandwiched between the two markers is positioned at a substantially central portion in the longitudinal direction of the mat body, and The bulge portion is positioned outside the range of the marker in the longitudinal direction. As a result, since the bulge portion on the mat body is displaced from the sensitivity region, the head mat is reversed even if it is used in a so-called reversible manner. The part can be almost certainly matched to the sensitivity region. In other words, the bulging portion does not get in the way when reversible.
[0018]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the head mat of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0019]
In the following embodiments and modifications thereof, a mat used at the time of head imaging by a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus is exemplified as the head mat of the present invention. An example in which a QD coil is used as the RF coil will be given. However, the head mat according to the present invention is not limited to such magnetic resonance imaging or a QD coil.
[0020]
For example, such a head mat can be used at the time of imaging with an X-ray CT scanner. Further, in the case of magnetic resonance imaging, when a surface coil is used instead of the QD coil, such a head mat may be laid. Furthermore, the present invention is not necessarily limited to the case of imaging of the head, and when imaging other parts such as the chest, abdomen, and lower limbs, such a head mat may be laid on the head.

Furthermore, the head mat of the present invention can adopt a structure that does not use a cover that covers the mat body, and can also be a structure that uses a cover but does not attach a marker for the sensitivity region to the cover. The marker for the sensitivity region may also be configured to be directly attached to the mat body. Furthermore, when using a cover, you may attach a nonmagnetic zipper to a cover.
[0041]
Furthermore, in the present invention, as described above, regarding the range of use of the head mat, there is no intention to limit the imaging modality to the magnetic resonance imaging apparatus, and there is no intention to limit the RF coil to the QD coil. . As described above, the head mat of the present invention can be widely used in various modes.
