Description
The present invention relates to an optical transceiver used as a transmitter / receiver for high-speed optical communication such as an optical LAN (Local Area Network), and more particularly to an SFP type (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) that is detachably attached to a cage on a communication device side. The present invention relates to an optical transceiver and its latch mechanism.
SFF (Small Form Factor) type optical transceiver standardized by MSA (Multi Source Agreement) agreed between optical communication equipment companies as an optical module for mutual conversion between digital electrical signals and optical signals in high-speed LAN And SFP type optical transceivers are widely used. Among these, the SFP type optical transceiver contains a photoelectric conversion element, a circuit board, and the like, and if it is detachably inserted into a cage installed on a board (for example, a motherboard) on the communication equipment side, Electrically and mechanically connected to the electrical interface connector of the optical device, thereby converting the optical signal transmitted / received to / from the optical fiber and the electrical signal transmitted / received to / from the board on the communication device side to each other to convert the optical signal. Communication is enabled.
Such an SFP-type optical transceiver may be interrupted if it is disconnected from the cage on the side of the communication device during operation or the communication device or the transceiver itself may break down. Therefore, the MSA standard prevents such an accident. For this reason, it is defined that the optical transceiver is securely locked to the cage by a latch mechanism (also referred to as a lock mechanism). As a specific structure of the latch mechanism, it is defined that the latch mechanism has a structure including a locking unit and a lock releasing unit that releases the engagement state of the locking unit. For this reason, various latch mechanisms having a simple structure and capable of easily attaching / detaching an optical transceiver have been proposed (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 to 4).
The optical module locking mechanism described in Patent Document 1 includes a spring plate portion having a locking hole on the cage side, and a protruding locking portion that engages with the locking hole on the lower surface side of the optical module; An unlocking lever for releasing the engagement state between the locking hole and the lock portion is provided. The unlocking lever has a support shaft that is pivotably supported in the vertical direction, a knob that projects forward of the optical module, and a convex that is located near the lock. When the knob part is pushed up by the finger, it rotates, and the convex part presses the spring plate part of the cage from above and elastically deforms downward so that the engagement state between the lock part and the locking hole is released. It is configured. For this reason, when removing the optical module, the unlocking lever is rotated upward to release the engagement state between the locking hole and the lock portion, and the optical module is removed from the cage forward. There is a need to do.
The locking mechanism of the optical module described in
The latch release mechanism of the optical fiber module described in
The release mechanism of the SFP optical fiber module described in
However, in each of the above conventional optical transceivers, the direction of the operating force applied to operate the unlocking component when releasing the locking state of the optical transceiver by the latch mechanism, and the optical transceiver after the release from the cage. Since the direction of the operating force applied at the time of taking out is different, there are two operations at the time of taking out, and there is a problem that the taking out operation is troublesome and takes time.
In particular, the optical module described in Patent Document 1 is provided with an unlock lever on the lower surface side of the case so that the finger is unlocked when the optical module is grasped from above and below when inserted into the cage. Since the lever is pushed down and rotated in the locking direction, there is a problem that the optical module cannot be inserted into the cage because the locking portion hits the opening end surface of the cage. In addition, there is a problem that a spring for urging the unlocking lever in the return direction is required, and the number of parts increases.
The optical module described in
In the SFP optical fiber module described in
The present invention has been made to solve the above-described conventional problems. The object of the present invention is to simplify the structure and use the finger naturally, and to release the engagement state of the locking means and the light. In the optical transceiver according to a second aspect of the invention, when the receptacle portion is inserted into the cage, the engaging portion rides on and pushes down the front end portion of the elastically deforming portion, and passes through the front end portion to engage with the locking hole. In combination, the receptacle portion is locked to the cage .
In an optical transceiver according to a third aspect of the present invention, the operation lever includes a recess for a plug in which the operation lever is formed in the connecting portion, and the optical connector plug is connected to the receptacle through the recess for the plug. It will be inserted into the mouth .
An optical transceiver latch mechanism according to a third aspect of the invention is an optical transceiver latch mechanism for detachably locking an optical transceiver with respect to a cage on the side of a communication device, and elastic deformation having a locking hole provided in the cage. An engaging portion that protrudes on the lower surface side of the insertion portion that is inserted into the cage of the optical transceiver and engages with a locking hole of the cage, and a connection port to which the optical connector plug of the optical transceiver is connected An engagement between the locking hole and the engaging portion is provided on the lower side of the receptacle portion to which the holder having the holder is attached, and is elastically deformed in a direction away from the engaging portion. includes a latch release lever for releasing the state, and an operation lever rotatably provided in the receptacle, the resilient deforming portion, Teisu a shaped side view "to" Accordingly, the front end portion is bent downward, and the locking hole is formed in the rear portion from the front end portion, and the engagement portion is directed downward toward the rear portion front end of the lower surface of the receptacle portion. The latch release lever includes a main body, and a pressed portion and a latch release portion that are integrally provided at the front and rear ends of the main body, respectively, and the main body is disposed in the holder in the front-rear direction. The pressed part is bent upward at the front end of the main body and protrudes forward of the receptacle part, and the latch release part is bent obliquely upward at the rear end of the main body. The elastic deformation occurs when the insertion part is taken out from the cage by protruding rearward of the holder and being positioned in front of the engagement part and contacting the lower surface of the insertion part. Elastically deformed in the direction away from the engaging portion, wherein the operating lever includes a concatenated pair of support shaft portion by a connecting portion is rotatably supported by a shaft on the left and right side plates of the holder, the An operating portion extending to one end of the connecting portion and extending above the holder, and extending to the other end of the connecting portion and pressing the pressed portion when the engaging hole and the engaging portion are disengaged. The latch release lever is operated by being rotated by an operating force in the same direction as a direction in which the insertion portion of the optical transceiver is taken out from the cage.
In the first and fourth aspects of the present invention, the direction of the operating force applied to the operating lever is the same as the direction in which the optical transceiver is taken out from the cage. If an operation force in the same direction is continuously applied to the operation lever even after the engagement state is released, the operation force acts as a force for removing the optical transceiver from the cage, and the latch mechanism unlocking operation and the optical transceiver removal are performed. The operation can be performed in one substantially continuous operation. Therefore, the optical transceiver can be taken out with one finger hooked on the operation portion of the operation lever without holding the optical transceiver with two fingers, and the optical transceiver can be taken out easily and quickly.
In the present invention, when the operation force is removed from the operation lever, the elastic deformation portion on the cage side is elastically restored and the latch release lever is restored to the original position. Therefore, a return spring is provided on the latch release lever. There is no need to reduce the number of parts.
In the first invention, since the operation portion of the operation lever extends above the receptacle portion, it is only necessary to hook one finger from above and pull it forward when unlocking. However, it is natural and can be easily taken out.
Further, in the first invention, when the latch release lever operates in conjunction with the operation lever, the latch release portion presses the elastic deformation portion of the cage to elastically deform, and the engagement hole and the engagement portion are Since the engaged state is released, the operator does not need to manually operate the latch release lever, and the optical transceiver can be easily taken out.

本実施の形態においては通信機器としてのOLT(Optical Line Termination:光加入者系システムの局側装置)とONU(Optical Network Unit:光加入者システムを加入者宅内に引き込み、ユーザー網インターフェースを提供する回路終端装置)間での光通信に用いた例を示している。 In this embodiment, an OLT (Optical Line Termination: an optical subscriber system station side device) as a communication device and an ONU (Optical Network Unit: an optical subscriber system) are drawn into the subscriber's home to provide a user network interface. The example used for the optical communication between circuit termination devices) is shown.
In these drawings, 1 is an OLT-side motherboard, 2 is a cage arranged in parallel on the motherboard 1 via a
The
The
A
On the other hand, the
The
The
The
An upper surface side opening 26 a of the
A
A
The
The operating
Next, an attaching / detaching operation of the
As shown in FIG. 7, when the entire length of the
When the
When the operating
Even after the
As described above, in the present invention, when the engagement state between the locking
Further, in the present invention, since the
Further, since the
Furthermore, in the present invention, the rotation range of the
