Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a hinge attached to furniture or the like having an open / close portion in the vertical direction, and further relates to a hinge mechanism incorporated in an electronic device such as a handy personal computer or a word processor having a lid such as a liquid crystal display unit.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In existing products, there are many wooden furniture, fittings, daily necessities, electrical products, etc. that have a vertical opening and closing member such as a lid, for example, a writing desk with a front panel, and a vertical opening and closing type end panel. Examples include a table, a grand piano with a keyboard lid and an open / close lid, a jewelry box with a lid, and a music box. In these products, various hinges are attached to the opening / closing member in the vertical direction, and the hinges are configured to be freely opened and closed.
[0003]
On the other hand, in an electronic device such as a small personal computer or a word processor that can open and close the liquid crystal display unit, the liquid crystal display unit needs to be stationary at an arbitrary position opened about 120 degrees from a right angle with respect to the machine base surface. Since these electronic devices have a circuit board in their entirety and are wired in a complicated manner, it is preferable that the occupied area be as small as possible. Conventionally, an opening / closing mechanism used for a liquid crystal display unit is composed of a coil spring that is tightly fitted to a pivot and fixed at both ends to a casing. The elasticity of the spring suppresses the rotation of the pivot of the display unit at an arbitrary opening angle. Keep it stationary.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In a conventional hinge, two leaves are rotatably connected to each other by a pivot inserted into a series of tube portions, and one of the leaves is fixed to a lid body and the other is fixed to a main body with a screw. If this type of hinge is subjected to a load on the leaf, the hinge cannot be stopped at any opening angle, and can be fully opened if the hand is released with the lid partially open. Or it closes like the original. This opening / closing operation is performed shockingly, and the user may injure by stuffing his / her finger into the lid or may damage the lid or the main body.
[0005]
In addition, the coil spring used to open and close the liquid crystal display unit in a small personal computer or word processor keeps the display unit stationary at an arbitrary opening angle by its elasticity, but always tightens the pivot of the display unit with a uniform strong spring elasticity. For this reason, if the frequency of opening and closing of the liquid crystal display unit is high, the contact portion of the pivot is easily worn by the coil spring, and wear residue is generated to increase the frictional resistance, making it difficult to open and close the display unit.
[0006]
JP-A-5-132070 and JP-A-6-72454 already exist as hinge mechanisms that can be used to open and close the liquid crystal display unit, and these are useful inventions that can stand the liquid crystal display unit at an arbitrary position. It is. In this type of hinge mechanism, a circular bipyramidal braking member is housed in a plastic housing, so there is no way to limit the size reduction and cost reduction to some extent.
[0007]
The present invention proposes a component that can further improve hinges attached to furniture, joinery, etc., and can withstand the opening and closing operations of tens of thousands of times while allowing the lid to stand still at an arbitrary opening angle. An object of the present invention is to provide a hinge that can be stationary at an arbitrary opening angle when attached to furniture or joinery having a lid, and that does not modulate even if the user manipulates it. Another object of the present invention is to provide a hinge mechanism that is incorporated in a handy personal computer or word processor having a lid such as a liquid crystal display unit, can be further downsized by simplifying the structure, and has extremely high durability. It is to be.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the hinge 2 according to the present invention, as illustrated in FIG. 1, is staggered between the main and secondary leaves 6 and 8 provided with the desired number of mounting holes 4 and the adjacent portions of both leaves. The pipe parts 10 and 12 are arranged, and the pivot 14 is inserted into the series of pipe parts 10 and 12 so as to connect both the leaves 6 and 8 so as to be rotatable with respect to each other. The hinge 2 has a substantially normal hinge shape as illustrated in FIG. 1, and the planar shape of both the leaves 6 and 8 and the number and diameter of the mounting holes 4 may be determined arbitrarily. Further, the series of pipe portions 10 and 12 may have the same length or different lengths (see FIG. 5).
[0009]
In the present invention, the pivot 14 rotates with the secondary leaf 8 (see FIG. 4), and the main leaf 6 does not need to rotate with the pivot 14. In FIG. 1, the tube portion 12 of the main leaf 6 that does not rotate together with the pivot 14 includes a plastic braking member 22 that is closely fitted to the pivot 14 and has a barrel portion 17 and parallel extension portions 18 and 20, and the braking member 22. The holding bracket 24 has an inner peripheral surface corresponding to the outer peripheral surface, and a fixing pin 32 that passes from the through hole 28 of the upper extension 26 of the holding bracket 24 to the through hole 30 of the leaf and is caulked.

In the braking member 22, as shown in FIG. 2, the inner peripheral surface of the barrel portion 17 that is in close contact with the pivot 14 has a circular cross section, and rotation is suppressed by the parallel extending portions 18 and 20, so that the inner peripheral surface of the barrel portion 17 is It becomes a friction surface. The parallel extending portions 18 and 20 of the braking member 22 have a gap in the diameter direction of the barrel portion 17, whereby the braking member 22 can be deformed inward. The holding bracket 24 has a barrel portion 29 and parallel extension portions 26 and 27, like the braking member 22, and has a through hole 28 through which the fixing pin 32 passes, and brakes the hole corresponding to the through hole. Also provided on the extensions 18 and 20 of the member 22. The holding metal fitting 24 surrounds at least the outer peripheral surface of the barrel portion 17 of the braking member 22.
[0011]
The fixing pin 32 brakes the rotation of the pivot 14 by the braking member 22 via the holding metal 24, and the braking strength is determined by the length of the pin 32. The fixing pin 32 has, for example, a flat head pin (see FIG. 1). As shown in FIG. 2, the fixing pin 32 passes from the through hole 28 of the upper extension 26 of the holding bracket 24 to the through hole 30 of the main leaf 6, and You only need to stop it after passing.
[0012]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The braking structure in the present invention is usually only one of the pipe parts 12 in the main leaf 6, and is constituted by two or more of the pipe parts 12 as desired. The holding bracket 24 may be formed separately from the leaf in the main leaf 6 as shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, or may be integrated with the main leaf as shown in FIG. Preferably, the holding bracket 24 is made of spring steel, and the braking member 22 is made of wear-resistant engineering plastic.
[0013]
In the hinge 2, a pair of bearing pieces 16, 16 bent at a right angle is formed at the pipe portion of the main leaf 6, and between the bearing pieces 16, 16, the braking member 22, the holding bracket 24, and the fixing pin 32 are formed. Place the combination. In this hinge, if a series of pipe parts 10 or 12 is substituted with bearing pieces 16 (see FIG. 3), at least one pipe part 10 or 12 is sufficient. When the pair of bearing pieces 16 and 16 are arranged on both sides of the holding metal fitting 24, the both bearing pieces 16 and 16 support the braking member 22 and the holding metal 24, and the braking member 22 and the holding metal 24 24 by using the hinge continuously. Can be prevented for a long time.
[0014]
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 8, the hinge mechanism 60 according to the present invention forms opposing bearing pieces 64, 64 bent at right angles on a support plate 62 fixed to the machine base 61, and both bearing pieces 64, 64 are formed. In the meantime, a pivot 66 fixed to the lid 65, a braking member (not shown) closely fitted to the pivot, a holding metal 68 surrounding the entire braking member, and a fixing pin 70 are arranged. As illustrated in FIG. 9, the hinge mechanism 60 may be incorporated at a turning position of the liquid crystal display unit 74 in the handy personal computer 72. Electronic devices that can incorporate this type of hinge mechanism include personal computers and word processors, in-vehicle TVs or fish finders that have a liquid crystal display, and examples include pocket computers, TV-integrated videos, and portable TV stands. it can.
[0015]
As shown in FIG. 9, the hinge mechanism 60 may fix the pivot 66 to the liquid crystal display unit 74 and attach the support plate 62 to the device main body 76, and instead attach the support plate to the liquid crystal display unit 74. The planar shape of the support plate may be a simple rectangle like the general-purpose product shown in FIG. 10, or may be a complicated bent shape like a genuine part illustrated in FIG.
[0016]
In FIG. 9, when the display unit 74 is opened and closed, the hinge mechanism 60 rotates the pivot 66 fixed to the display unit, while the holding member 68 and the braking member are stationary. The holding metal fitting 68 is tightened inward by the fixing pin 70, brakes the rotation of the pivot 66 of the display unit 74 via the braking member, and stops the display unit at an arbitrary opening / closing position. The rotational braking force of the pivot 66 is determined by the length of the fixed pin 70, and the liquid crystal display unit 74 can be set to a desired opening / closing operation.
[0017]
【Example】
Next, the present invention will be described based on examples, but the present invention is not limited to the examples. The present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. As shown in FIG. 1, the metal hinge 2 has two rectangular leaves 6 and 8 each provided with a countersink that is three attachment holes 4. The sub-leaf 8 has a connecting portion 8a with the pipe portion 10 bent upward so as to be positioned on the same plane as the main leaf 6. By inserting the tube portion 10 and 10 of the sub-leaf 8 and the tube portion 12 of the main leaf 6 disposed between the tube portions 10 and 10 and the series of tube portions 10 and 12 in the adjacent portions of both the leaves 6 and 8. It has a round bar-like pivot 14 for connecting both the leaves 6 and 8 to each other so that the tubes 10, 10 and 12 are substantially the same length.
[0018]
As is apparent from FIG. 4, in the pivot 14, the portion 14 a corresponding to the pipe portions 10, 10 of the sub-leaf 8 is not circular but has a cross-sectional shape of a notch circle. The pipe portions 10 and 10 are deformed according to the cut-out circular cross-section portion 14a to form a flat portion 11 that is not curved. Therefore, the pivot 14 rotates together with the sub-leaf 8 while the pipe portion 12 of the main leaf 6 is rotated. Rotates around the circumference of the pivot 14.
[0019]
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, the main leaf 6 is formed with a pair of bearing pieces 16 and 16 that are bent at a right angle at the pipe portion 12. The bearing pieces 16, 16 have a bearing hole 19 that is substantially equal to the diameter of the pivot 14, and both bearing holes are arranged coaxially. As shown in FIG. 1, plastic washers 15 and 15 are fitted to the pivot 14 between the bearing holes 19 and the pipe portion 10.
[0020]
As shown in FIG. 2, between the bearing pieces 16, 16, the brake member 22 that is closely fitted to the pivot 14 and has the barrel portion 17 and the parallel extension portions 18, 20 corresponds to the outer peripheral surface of the brake member 22. A holding metal 24 having an inner peripheral surface and a fixing pin 32 that passes vertically from the through hole 28 of the upper extension 26 of the holding metal 24 to the through hole 30 of the leaf and is caulked at the lower end are arranged. The brake member 22 is an injection-molded product of wear-resistant engineering plastic (for example, carbon-containing polyacetal resin), and the holding metal fitting 24 is made of spring steel.
[0021]
In the braking member 22, the barrel portion 17 whose side surface is nearly circular is closely fitted with the pivot 14, and the extension portions 18 and 20 having substantially the same length extend from both ends of the barrel portion so as to be substantially parallel to each other. The extended portion 20 extends tangentially from the barrel portion. Each of the parallel extensions 18 and 20 is provided with a through hole, and both the through holes are perpendicular to the through holes 28 of the extensions 26 and 27 of the holding metal 24 and are larger than the diameter of the pin 32. The brake member 22 always moves together with the holding bracket 24 by the two extension portions 18 and 20. On the other hand, the holding bracket 24 has a barrel portion 29 and parallel extending portions 26 and 27 corresponding to the shape of the braking member 22, and the lateral width thereof is equal to that of the braking member 22. The lower extension 27 is provided with a through hole 28 larger than the diameter of the pin 32, and the upper extension 26 is also provided with a through hole 28 through which the pin 32 passes so as to coincide with that of the extension 27 in the vertical direction. The through hole 28 has a slightly vertically long shape (see FIG. 6).
[0022]
When the fixing pin 32 passes vertically downward from the through hole 28 of the upper extension portion 26 of the holding metal 24 and passes through the through hole 30 provided in the leaf 6, the flat head 31 (FIG. 3) of the pin 32 is It is located on the extension 26 together with the washer 33. The through hole 30 is a countersunk hole, and the lower end surface of the pin 32 coincides with the lower surface of the main leaf 6 by fitting the caulking enlarged diameter portion 32a of the pin 32 into the countersunk hole. With the fixing pin 32, the braking member 22 and the holding fitting 24 can be fixed to the main leaf 6, and the braking member 22 can be tightened inward via the holding fitting 24 to set the braking force of the braking member 22 against the pivot 14.
[0023]
The hinge 2 is attached to a connection portion between the lid and the main body such as furniture with a wood screw in the same manner as a normal hinge for furniture and fittings having a lid that opens and closes in the vertical direction. With the hinge 2, the lid can be opened and closed, and the sudden closing due to its own weight is eliminated, and the lid can be stopped at an arbitrary opening angle. The lid body to which the hinge 2 is attached can be set to a desired opening / closing operation by the fixing pin 32 and can be stopped at an arbitrary opening position from the closing position to the opening limit position. . In the hinge 2, a combination of the braking member 22, the holding bracket 24 and the fixing pin 32 is disposed between the pair of bearing pieces 16 and 16, and the braking member 22 and the holding bracket 24 are supported by the bearing pieces 16 and 16. Therefore, these deformations can be prevented to enable long-term use.
[0024]
FIG. 5 shows a modification of the present invention. In the hinge 34, a pair of narrow pipe portions 36, 36 are provided on the sub-leaf 35 at intervals, and the main leaf 37 has a pipe portion 38 in the center and both ends. Narrow tube portions 39, 39 are formed. The pipe portions 36 and 36 of the sub-leaf 35 have a non-circular cross section, and a part of the pivot 41 is locked here to rotate the leaf 35 together with the pivot 41. The tube portions 36, 38, 39 are arranged in a staggered manner, and the central tube portion 38 of the leaf 37 is the longest. In the main leaf 37, the central tube portion 38 is constituted by an elongated braking member (not shown) and a holding metal fitting 40.
[0025]
As shown in FIG. 6, the holding metal fitting 40 has parallel extension portions 42 and 43 each provided with two through holes in the barrel portion, and the through holes 44 in the upper extension portion 42 have a slightly vertically long shape. The fixing pins 45, 45 pass vertically downward from the through holes 44 of the upper extension 42 in the holding metal fitting 40, and pass through through holes (not shown) provided in the main leaf 37 to be caulked. The hinge 34 is preferably used when a stationary force at the time of opening that is larger than its dimensions is required. In the hinge 34, the bearing piece can be bent at a right angle at the position of the pipe portion 36 or 39, and the pipe portion 36 or 39 can be substituted by the bearing piece.
[0026]
FIG. 7 shows another modification of the present invention. In the hinge 48, a pair of pipe portions are formed on the secondary leaf 49, a central pipe portion 52 is formed on the main leaf 50, and the secondary leaf 49 is non-circular. It rotates together with the pivot 54 by the cross-section tube. In the main leaf 50, the central tube portion 52 is formed to have a shape corresponding to the holding metal fitting, and the braking member 56 is accommodated therein, and a through hole 57 is provided in the leaf 50 to vertically fix the fixing pin 58. Pass through and stop. The leaf 50 may be made of ordinary steel, but the whole is preferably made of spring steel.
[0027]
In the hinge 48, if a pair of bearing pieces are formed on both sides of the central tube portion 52 as shown in FIG. 1, the central tube portion is less likely to be deformed during use, and the holding bracket is detached during use. Such a situation does not occur. The hinge 48 has fewer parts than the hinge and can be manufactured at a lower cost.
[0028]
The hinge mechanism 60 shown in FIG. 8 forms opposing bearing pieces 64 and 64 bent at a right angle on a support plate 62 fixed to the machine base 61, and the through holes of both bearing pieces 64 and 64 are arranged coaxially. . Both bearing pieces 64, 64 rotatably support a pivot 66 that is fixed to the lid 65, and a braking member (not shown) having a side shape substantially the same as in FIGS. 2 and 7 is closely fitted to the pivot 66. Then, the holding member 68 is surrounded by the entire braking member. The fixing pin 70 passes through a through hole (not shown) of the support plate 62 and is fixed by caulking.
[0029]
In FIG. 8, a collar portion 80 is formed at the front portion of the pivot 66, and the rear portion thereof is inserted from one bearing piece 64 to the other bearing piece 64 via a braking member, that is, a holding metal fitting 68, and is prevented from falling off by a stopper washer 82. To do. On the other hand, the front end surface of the pivot 66 is welded to the side surface of the receiving plate 84 at a right angle. As shown in FIG. 9, two hinge mechanisms 60 are incorporated in the swivel portion of the liquid crystal display unit 74 in the handy personal computer 72, and the receiving plate 84 welded to the pivot 66 is attached to the lower part of the display unit 74, and the support plate 62 is attached to the device. Secured to the body 76 with bolts.
[0030]
When the display unit 74 of the handy personal computer 72 is opened and closed, the pivot 66 is rotated together with the display unit, and at this time, the braking member, that is, the holding metal fitting 68 is stationary. The holding metal 68 is tightened inward by the fixing pin 70 and presses the braking member inward in the radial direction. The braking member suppresses the pivot 66 from rotating inward in the radial direction, and thereby stops the display unit 74 at an arbitrary opening / closing position. The rotational braking force of the pivot 66 by the braking member can be accurately set by the length of the fixing pin 70 for tightening the holding metal fitting 68. Further, the braking member receives a load acting when the display unit 74 is opened and closed with its full width, so that the brake member is not damaged even if the weight of the display unit is relatively large.
[0031]
A hinge mechanism 86 shown in FIG. 10 is a general-purpose product, and a part of a rectangular flat support plate 87 is bent at a right angle to form a pair of bearing pieces 88 and 88 facing each other. Is supported rotatably. The pivot 90 having the flange portion 91 formed at the front portion is inserted at the rear portion thereof from one bearing piece 88 to the other bearing piece 88 through the braking member, that is, the holding fitting 92, and is prevented from falling off by the stopper washer 93. The rotational braking force of the pivot 90 can be accurately set by the length of the fixing pin 95 that tightens the holding metal fitting 92.
[0032]
In the hinge mechanism 86, the front end portion 94 of the pivot 90 is formed in a deformed cross section, the support plate 87 is bolted to the apparatus main body, and the pivot front end portion 94 is formed in a deformed hole of a receiving plate (not shown) fixed to the lid side wall. Plug in. The hinge mechanism 86 can be installed not only in handy personal computers and word processors, but also in in-vehicle TVs or fish detectors that have a liquid crystal display, as well as in electronic devices such as pocket computers and TV-integrated video, and can also be used for portable TV stands, etc. Is possible.
[0033]
【The invention's effect】
The hinge according to the present invention may be attached to a connecting portion between the lid and the main body of furniture or the like with a wood screw or the like in the same manner as a normal hinge for furniture and fittings having a lid that opens and closes in the vertical direction. With this hinge, the lid of furniture or joinery can be opened and closed, and the lid can be stopped at any opening angle. This hinge opens and closes in the vertical direction, so that even if the load of the lid is applied to the leaf, the opening and closing operation of the lid is not performed shockingly. It is possible to avoid damaging the main body. This hinge can also be attached to various door members that can be opened and closed in the vertical direction in furniture, joinery and automobiles.
[0034]
The hinge or hinge mechanism of the present invention can accurately set the force for braking the pivot for the lid by the length of the fixing pin when opening and closing the lid such as the liquid crystal display unit. Since this fixing pin is not a screw member, it does not modulate even if the user manipulates it, and once it is set to open and close according to the user's preference, it can be stopped at any position from the closed position to the open limit position, while the lid When closing the body, the lid is always prevented from closing suddenly by its own weight.
[0035]
The hinge mechanism of the present invention can be miniaturized and can be sufficiently installed in a personal computer or a word processor in which a circuit board is present in the entire interior. In this hinge mechanism, the opening / closing operation of the lid is constant even if the use is continued for a long time. In addition, it can withstand tens of thousands of open / close tests by enclosing the entire outer peripheral surface of the brake member with an integrally operated holding bracket and receiving a load of about 5 to 10 kg acting on the open / close operation over the entire width of the brake member. It is possible. This hinge mechanism has a smaller number of parts and a lower manufacturing cost than conventional products.
