BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY The present invention is used for pipe connectors (hereinafter represented by “connectors”) such as metal adapters, resin connectors or headers for connecting pipes used mainly for water supply or hot water supply. It is related to the cap.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, metal pipes have been used as pipes for water supply, hot water supply, or air conditioning equipment in buildings, but such pipes are concerned about water contamination and leakage due to rust and corrosion. Resin pipes tend to be used. And what was devised so that the adapter for connecting this pipe, the connector, and the header for distributing water and hot water can be connected with one touch is employed (Patent Document 1). Hereinafter, the present invention will be described with a connector as a representative, but the connector is also being switched from a metal one to a resin one to prevent grabbing and water leaking into the surface of the pipe inside the connector. An O-ring is built in.
[0003]
That is, the connector and the pipe are carried into the piping work site in the state of parts that are not connected to each other, and the pipe is connected to the connector while cutting the pipe to an appropriate length to perform the piping work. However, the piping work site is usually not in a favorable state as a work environment, dust and dust are scattered, and in some cases, this is floating in the air. Therefore, it goes without saying that these dusts and debris can easily enter, for example, the inside of the connector. If pipes are connected in a state where they are contained, it may cause water leakage. It will not be able to change quality or maintain sufficient flow.
[0004]
Therefore, it is necessary to take measures to prevent foreign matter such as dust and dirt from entering the pipe insertion port in the connector. As a simple method that can be generally considered, it is conceivable to seal the insertion port with a tape provided with an adhesive material, but it is also true that the adhesive material is easily removed. It can be considered that this may cause a negative effect on pipe connection and the like.
[0005]
On the other hand, as a problem on the pipe side, when connecting to the connector, a support sleeve is inserted into the tip of the pipe and then inserted into the connector, but the support sleeve is inserted into the pipe. There is a case where it is inserted into the connector with the illusion. As described above, when a support sleeve is not used, the strength in the radial direction of the pipe is weak, so that it is easily deformed, the grab ring is not sufficiently bitten, and the occurrence of water leakage is unavoidable.
[0006]
[Patent Document 1]
JP-A-5-106773 [0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention has been made in view of the above prior art, and prevents the entry of foreign matters such as dust and dirt into the connector and securely fits the support sleeve to the pipe. A cap is provided.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The gist of the present invention is that the cap for protecting the pipe insertion port of the connector includes an annular plate portion covering the front surface of the insertion port, a recessed portion toward the inside of the insertion port at the center thereof, and a periphery of the annular plate portion. A substantially cylindrical skirt portion that is formed and conforms to the outer shape of the pipe insertion port, and is formed by connecting the annular plate portion and the recess portion with an annular bulging portion that faces away from the insertion port. The bulging portion is a cap for preventing entry of foreign matter into the connector, characterized in that the bulging portion is sized to accommodate a flange portion formed at the tip of a support sleeve fitted into the pipe. It is usually made of synthetic resin, and the whole is usually obtained by vacuum forming.
[0009]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The cap according to the present invention has a function of covering a pipe insertion port of the connector and a function of holding a support sleeve inserted into the pipe. In other words, the recess is placed in the connector into the pipe insertion port to prevent foreign material from entering, and the support sleeve flange is placed in the annular bulge to prevent the connector from being inserted into the pipe insertion port. One support sleeve is always associated, and it can be inserted into the end of the pipe as it is. For this reason, the mistake of inserting the pipe into the connector without inserting the support sleeve can be greatly reduced.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, the use of the cap of the present invention can completely prevent foreign matter from entering the inside of the connector or the like, and the support sleeve can be inserted into the pipe by inserting the support sleeve into the cap. This makes it possible to eliminate forgetting to insert, not only to prevent the entry of foreign substances, but also to prevent the occurrence of water leakage, which is very convenient for pipe connection work.
