Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a print ordering system for ordering prints of images taken with a digital camera, and a digital camera and an image file transmitting apparatus used in the print ordering system.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Digital cameras and mobile phones equipped with digital cameras are rapidly spreading. In order to print images taken with such a digital camera with high quality, it has been conventionally performed to request printing from a printer who owns a high-quality printer. As a method for requesting printing to a printing company, there is a method of bringing a memory card storing image files into the printing company. In this method, the user has to set a memory card in a printer installed at the store of the printing company, and input the image to be printed, the number of prints, the print size, and the like. This operation is very troublesome and difficult for an unfamiliar user.
[0003]
Further, as a method for making a print request without going to the print dealer, there is a method for transmitting an image file to the print dealer using a communication network such as the Internet or a mobile phone. As an image file transmission method, there are a method of transmitting only an image to be printed at the time of photographing (for example, see Patent Document 1), a method of transmitting an image file at the time of ordering a print (for example, see

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The conventional image file transmission method is troublesome because the user needs to perform a transmission operation. In addition, in order to stabilize the radio wave condition during transmission, it may be necessary to move to find a position with good radio wave condition or a position where the radio wave is not blocked. Furthermore, if the radio wave condition deteriorates, a transmission error occurs and the transmission operation has to be performed again.
[0006]
Further, in the conventional method in which the user performs the transmission operation, if the user wants to transmit an image file and the radio wave condition is poor, the print ordering system cannot be established. Therefore, an exhaustive communication network that can always obtain an optimal communication state is required. However, as this comprehensive communication network, an existing communication system such as a mobile phone has to be used, and the fact that free new entry cannot be made has hindered the spread of the print ordering system.
[0007]
In addition, some users who have moved from silver halide cameras to digital cameras want to see digital cameras that can select their favorite printers by selecting the film to be loaded, such as silver halide cameras. There was also.
[0008]
The present invention is for solving the above-described problems, and it is not necessary to perform a transmission operation, and can perform data transmission and print order without considering a radio wave condition and a transmission error. An object of the present invention is to provide such an easy-to-use print ordering system.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, the image file transmission apparatus of the present invention is used by being attached to a digital camera so that when the digital camera enters the communication area of the receiving means, it automatically connects to the image server. The image file of the digital camera is transmitted, and the data transmission is interrupted when leaving the communication area. Thus, the image file can be transmitted without performing a transmission operation.
[0010]
In addition, when the data transmission is interrupted, the data transmission history is stored, and when the connection between the receiving means and the wireless communication means is resumed, the image file whose transmission has been interrupted with reference to the transmission history is not stored. The data of the transmission part is transmitted. Thereby, data transmission can be performed without worrying about the connection state and the occurrence of a transmission error.
[0011]
Moreover, since the division identification data indicating that the data transmission is part of the image file interrupted is added to the untransmitted data, it can be identified that the image file is composed of a plurality of data, It can be used later when combining data.
[0012]
Furthermore, it is possible to provide transmission determination means for determining whether or not to perform data transmission from the usage state of the digital camera. According to this, since data transmission is not performed during camera operation such as shooting, camera function operation, or changing the contents of storage means, the camera operation and data transmission are performed simultaneously, increasing the processing load. There is no.
[0013]
Since the image file stored in the storage means is transmitted to the image server, the image file to be transmitted to the image server can be selected from the storage means. As a result, image files that are not desired to be transmitted are not transmitted to the image server, which can contribute to privacy protection. In addition, when selection of a file to be transmitted is troublesome, it can be set to transmit all untransmitted image files stored in the storage unit.
[0014]
Furthermore, since the print image selection means for selecting an image to be printed from the image files transmitted to the image server and the order file creation means for creating the order file using the identification data of the selected image are provided. You can place a print order without going to a dealer.
[0015]
It is also possible to send programs and menus related to data transmission and print orders to the digital camera so that settings and operations can be performed on the digital camera side. According to this, since the LCD, operation buttons, etc. of the digital camera can be used, the cost of the image file transmission means can be reduced.
[0016]
Further, the apparatus main body of the image file transmission apparatus may be loaded in the digital camera. The image file transmission apparatus at this time can be approximated to the outer dimensions of the film cartridge, or can be loaded into the digital camera in the same procedure as the film cartridge. According to this, a user-friendly digital camera such as a silver salt camera can be configured.
[0017]
The print ordering system using the above-described digital camera includes an image file transmission device, a digital camera to which the image file transmission device is attached, and reception for receiving an image file and an order file transmitted from the image file transmission device. Means, an image server for storing the image file and the order file transferred from the receiving means, and a printer for receiving the image file corresponding to the order file from the image server and performing printing.
[0018]
Furthermore, when an image file whose data transmission has been interrupted and untransmitted data with division identification data are received, the data can be combined by the data combining means to generate one image file. Therefore, even if the data transmission is interrupted due to the deterioration of the connection state, an appropriate image file can be obtained.

[0066]
Further, as shown in FIG. 11, a plurality of types (for example, 85 and 86) of image file transmission apparatuses having different image servers to which image files are transmitted are prepared, and the print image quality, print price, etc. are taken into consideration. It is also possible to select an optimal image file transmission device from a plurality of image file transmission devices. According to this, the image file transmission device can be selected as if the film to be used in the silver salt camera is selected, and the usability of the silver salt camera can be reproduced in the digital camera.
[0067]
Further, the print request can also be transferred to the print agent store together with the image file transmitting device, and the print agent store can transmit the image file to a print dealer corresponding to the image file transmitting device. This makes it possible to request printing in a form closer to a silver halide camera, and even users who are unfamiliar with digital cameras can easily obtain prints using the same procedure as when using a silver halide camera. Can do.
[0068]
In addition, the print dealer can not only print the ordered image file, but also print all the image files received by the image server and hand over the created print according to the user's order. . According to this, the user can obtain a print in a very short period. In addition, since it is possible to receive a print request reliably by using the image file transmission apparatus, the image file transmission apparatus can be provided to the user free of charge in anticipation of this benefit.
[0069]
In the above embodiment, the image file is transmitted when the power of the digital camera is off. However, the image file may be transmitted while the power of the digital camera is on. In this case, if the image file is not transmitted during shooting, camera function operation, or content change in the memory card, the processing speed of the controller will not be reduced.
[0070]
Further, although the order file is transmitted to the image server, it may be transmitted directly to a printer of an arbitrary printer. In this case, the printer reads the image file from the image server and performs printing.
[0071]
The present invention can also be applied to mobile phones and various electronic devices in which a digital camera is incorporated in addition to a normal digital camera.
[0072]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, the image file transmission apparatus, digital camera, and print ordering system according to the present invention automatically transmits data after determining the connection state, and therefore transmits data without performing a transmission operation. be able to. Further, even when data transmission is interrupted, data transmission is automatically resumed, so that the user does not need to consider the connection state. Furthermore, even if the data is divided and transmitted, these data are appropriately combined, so that an appropriate image file can be obtained.
[0073]
The print ordering system of the present invention does not require a large-scale and comprehensive communication network. For example, a base station may be installed at a specific location such as a convenience store or a station, so that capital investment for starting a service is small. It is easy to make a new entry.
[0074]
Furthermore, the image file transmission device can be selected in accordance with the image server that transmits the image file, and the appearance and loading method of the image file transmission device can be made to resemble a cartridge. It can also be reproduced.
