一般に、エンジンの吸気系あるいは排気系への空気の供給にリードバルブを用いた構成がよく知られている。例えば、排気ガス規制対策の一つとして用いられるエンジンの二次空気供給装置においては、エアクリーナと排気系の管との間に接続される連結管にリードバルブを配設し、排気が脈動することによって排気系に生じるリードバルブの上方と下方との圧力差を利用して、エアクリーナから排気系内の排気ガス中にリードバルブを介して空気を供給し、排気ガス中の未燃焼成分を再燃焼させるようになっている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、前述した従来のリードバルブにおいては、サポートを構成する弁シートの周縁に取り付けられる断面略コ字形のガスケットは弁シートとは別体に製作され、弁シートの外周部に取り付けられサポートを構成している。したがって、サポートを構成する弁シートとガスケットとは各別に成型しなければならないとともに、各別に成型した後にガスケットを弁シートの外周部に嵌め込み等の手段によって取り付けなければならない等製造工程がかさみ、その結果コスト高を招く等の問題があった。
そこで本発明は、上記した事情に鑑みて発明されたもので、製造工程を簡素化し、ひいては低コストのリードバルブの提供を目的とするものである。

本発明に係るリードバルブは、前記の目的を達成するために、中央部に流体の流通孔が形成された板状のサポートの外周部を包囲するようにゴム様弾性体よりなるガスケットを有するとともに、前記サポートの前記流通孔の周囲にゴム様弾性体よりなる弁座を備え、前記板状のサポートの一面に、前記流通孔を通過する流体の圧力に応じて前記弁座に当接する開閉可能な弾性を有するリードと、該リードのリフト量を規制するストッパーとを、前記リードが前記流通孔を覆うように重合して片持状に連結部材で連結固定してなるリードバルブにおいて、前記ガスケットと前記弁座が流動通路を介して連通され、成型時に未加硫ゴムが前記流動通路を介して流動し、前記ガスケットと前記弁座がサポートに一体に焼付け成型されてなることをその特徴とするものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明の実施の形態のリードバルブを図1〜図4に基づいて説明すると、1はリードバルブを示し、中央に流体の流通孔2が形成され、その外周部を包囲するように設けられたゴム様弾性体からなるガスケット3を備えたサポート4に、前記した流通孔2を開閉する弾性を有するリード5及び該リード5のリフト量を規制するためのストッパー6を一体的に重合して連結部材たるねじ7で片持状に締結固定している。また、8は前記ストッパー6の回動防止用の固定ピンである。

前記したリードバルブ1の弾性を有するリード5は常態において板状のサポート4に設けられた流体の流通孔2の周辺部の該リード5を受ける弁座10に着座し、該流体の流通孔2を閉鎖するものであるが、前記したエアクリーナと排気系の管との間に接続された連結管に配設されたリードバルブ1の上方と下方とに圧力差が生じたとき(詳しくは上方の圧力が下方の圧力より高くなったとき)前記の弾性を有するリード5は開き流体は流通孔2を介して流通することになり、そのリフト量はストッパー6によって規制されることになる。そして、サポート4を構成する板状のサポート用金具4aの外周部を包囲するように該サポート用金具4aとゴム様弾性体のガスケット3とを一体形成して図示しないインレットケースとアウトレットケース間に配設したときの外周部の機密性を確保している。

しかしながら従来においては、先に従来技術の項で説明したように、前記したサポート用金具の外周部を包囲するように設けられるゴム様弾性体のガスケット3を断面略コ字状として板状のサポート用金具4aの外周部を包囲するように嵌め込むため、前記した断面略コ字状のゴム様弾性体のガスケットを成型するための金型と流体の流通孔を設けた板状のサポート用金具に後述する弁座を焼き付け成型するための金型との2種類の金型を必要とし、さらに製作された前記のガスケットを板状のサポート用金具の外周部に嵌め込むという工程を必要とするものであり、複数の成型工程とともにガスケットを嵌め込むという煩雑な作業も加わり、作業性にも問題があった。

そこで、本実施の形態におけるサポート4は図5〜図7に示すように、前記したサポート4を構成する板状のサポート用金具4aの外周部にゴム様弾性体のガスケット3を一体的に焼き付け成型するものであり、流体の流通孔2の周辺部のリード5の保護及び密封性を図るための弁座10とガスケット3とは、流動通路11を介して連通させている(図3、図5参照)。そして、板状のサポート用金具4aにゴム様弾性体のガスケット3及び弁座10とを一体的に焼き付け成型するにあたっては、金型におけるキャビティのガスケット3形成部または弁座10形成部のどちらか一方にゴム様弾性体の素材たる未加硫ゴムを注入等にて充填すると、該未加硫ゴムは前記流動通路11を介して流動し他方の弁座10形成部またはガスケット3形成部にも充填されるようになっている。このようにして、前記サポート用金具4aにゴム様弾性体のガスケット3及び弁座10を一体的に焼き付け成型することが可能となっている。

本実施の形態においては、前記したように、サポート4を構成する板状のサポ―ト用金具4aの外周部を包囲するようにゴム様弾性体のガスケット3を一体的に焼き付け成型したものであるので、すなわち、ガスケット3を成型するための金型を必要とせず、サポート4を成型するための1種類の金型にてゴム様弾性体のガスケット3及び弁座10を一体的に焼き付け成型することができるので、サポート4の製作についてその工程を短縮でき、しかも、ガスケットを嵌め込むという煩雑な工程を必要としないものであり、生産性の向上を図れるものである。

【発明の効果】
本発明に係るリードバルブは、中央部に流体の流通孔が形成されその外周部を包囲するように設けられたゴム様弾性体よりなるガスケットを具備する板状のサポ−トを形成するのに、前記のガスケットをサポートに一体形成したものであるので、リードバルブの製造工程を簡素化することができるので生産性を向上することができるばかりでなく、リードバルブの低コスト化をも図れるものである。
