【0030】
画像記録部38は、たとえばJPEG(Joint Photographic Experts Group)アルゴリズムによる8×8画素毎のDCT(discrete cosine transform :離散コサイン変換)、量子化、ハフマン符号化により圧縮処理されたフォーマットで画像を記録する内部メモリである。
結像の公式より、(1/a+1/b)=1/fとなり、像倍率mはm=a/b=f/(b−f)により算出される。
【0061】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an imaging apparatus with a camera shake correction function that detects a camera shake at the time of shooting and corrects the amount of camera shake, which is used in general silver halide cameras, digital still cameras, video cameras, and the like. The present invention relates to an image pickup apparatus with a camera shake correction function that takes into consideration the possibility of insufficient correction and performs control so as not to perform shake correction during close-up shooting.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, as means for detecting camera shake, an angular velocity sensor such as a piezoelectric vibration gyro, an angular velocity sensor, an optical detection element using a light emitting / receiving element, image processing, and the like have been proposed. Of these, an angular velocity sensor is often used as a means for detecting camera shake, and the rotational motion of the camera shake is detected by the angular velocity sensor. In addition, not only one detection means but also a method using a combination of them is known. Further, correction processing using the detection result of camera shake is performed by moving the correction lens system, driving the variable apex angle prism, driving the reflection plate, correcting by software by image processing, imaging device And the like that control the driving of the motor are known. That is, in practice, a system that detects camera shake and corrects the amount of camera shake is configured to realize a required operation. Hereinafter, reference technical documents related to the method of camera shake detection means and the camera shake correction method will be described.
[0003]
For example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 7-218956 discloses a variable apex angle prism that uses a biaxial angular velocity sensor to detect camera shake and corrects it. Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 6-153064 for driving the apex angle of the image, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 4-21230 for driving the reflecting mirror, and Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 3-145880 for correcting the reflection mirror. Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 4-95933 discloses a device in which an element is driven by a motor or the like. A small piezoelectric vibration gyro is used as the biaxial angular velocity sensor, and it is put into practical use as a camera with a camera shake correction function.
[0004]
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 7-20547 discloses an acceleration sensor as a camera shake detection unit and drives a correction optical system as a correction unit, and Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 1-222313 discloses a device that drives the apex angle of a variable vertical angle prism. What corrects by image processing is disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 5-158135, and one that drives an image sensor is disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 5-40291.
[0005]
As a hand shake detection means using an optical element, one that detects reflection (inclination detection) of light on the surface of a reflecting mirror floated on a liquid is disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 4-86730, which detects from a line of sight by a line of sight detection means. Japanese Laid-Open Patent Publication No. 9-80502 discloses the above correction processing in combination.
[0006]
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. Hei 7-3 uses three acceleration sensors and three angular velocity sensors as camera shake detection means, performs coordinate conversion from a signal with six degrees of freedom, obtains a complete camera posture with respect to the world coordinate system, and performs correction processing. No. 225405 is disclosed. In this process, not only the rotational motion is corrected, but also when the camera itself translates. Theoretically, this is a complete correction process, but an integration error occurs. Therefore, the error increases in a long-time continuous correction process. Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 7-177419 discloses that both of the camera shake detection unit and the correction unit are performed by an image processing technique, and the camera shake correction process is realized without a sensor for camera shake detection.
[0007]
By the way, as reference technical documents for performing control relating to such camera shake correction, for example, “camera with image blur display function” in JP-A-5-173241, “camera shake correction apparatus in JP-A-8-149360, and the same The video camera used "is disclosed. Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 5-173241 determines whether the subject is in a stationary state or a moving state by the distance measuring unit, and controls to stop displaying the image blur amount on the image blur display unit when it is determined that the subject is in the moving state. This avoids unnecessary confusion for the photographer. In Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 8-149360, a camera shake correction of a video camera is performed by a field memory method, and a method of reading from a field memory (correction mode) is changed according to a shooting state such as a zoom magnification and a distance among a plurality of correction modes. Control is performed.
[0008]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As described above, conventionally, an angular velocity sensor is generally used as a means for detecting a shake, and a rotational motion component of the shake is detected. In addition to the rotational motion component, there is also a translational motion component, but when the distance to the subject with respect to the focal length is relatively long, there is little influence on the image blur, so a sufficient correction effect can be obtained. However, during close-up photography, the distance to the subject with respect to the focal length is short, and the influence of translational motion on image blurring becomes large, and blur correction may be insufficient. For this reason, there has been a problem that unnecessary power is consumed due to unnecessary correction.
[0009]
The present invention has been made in view of the above, and an object of the present invention is to suppress power consumption by stopping the drive of blur correction during close-up photography.
[0012]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In the imaging apparatus with a camera shake correction function according to claim 1, camera shake detection means for detecting a camera shake amount at the time of exposure, and an actuator is driven in accordance with the camera shake amount detected by the camera shake detection means to perform camera shake correction. In an imaging apparatus with a camera shake correction function including a shake correction unit, a distance measurement unit that measures a distance between a subject and an arbitrary part of the apparatus housing, and a distance measured by the distance measurement unit are set in advance. First threshold If it is determined that A shooting mode changing means for changing the shooting mode to the flash mode, and a second threshold for setting a second threshold different from the first threshold according to the exposure time in the flash mode changed by the shooting mode changing means When it is determined that the distance measured by the setting means and the distance measuring means is smaller than the second threshold set by the second threshold setting means, Control means for controlling the shake correction means so as not to perform the shake correction operation.
[0013]
According to the present invention, the distance between the subject and an arbitrary part of the apparatus housing is measured by the distance measuring unit after the start of imaging, and if the measured distance is shorter than a predetermined threshold value, the blur due to translational motion is caused. Since imperfect correction becomes noticeable when the distance between the device and the subject is short, taking into account close-up photography and detecting image blur at the time of exposure does not provide sufficient blur correction. Stop unnecessary correction drive.
[0014]
In the imaging device with a camera shake correction function according to claim 2, First The threshold value is set as a different value according to the focal length and / or the exposure time of the imaging apparatus.
[0015]
According to the present invention, when the measured value by the distance measuring means is compared with the threshold value, the threshold value is set according to the focal length and the exposure time, so that the high accuracy without depending on the photographing condition (focal length and exposure time) is obtained. Control is realized.
[0022]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Preferred embodiments of an image pickup apparatus with a camera shake correction function according to the present invention will be described below in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. The present invention is not limited to this embodiment. In this embodiment, a digital still camera will be described as an example. However, the present invention can also be applied to a silver salt camera such as a single-lens reflex camera or a compact camera, a VTR (analog / digital), or the like.
[0023]
(Embodiment 1)
The first embodiment avoids unnecessary power consumption by not performing unnecessary blur correction when a close-up mode that is predicted to be unable to perform sufficient blur correction is selected. The configuration and operation will be described below.

FIG. 1 is a block diagram illustrating a configuration of an imaging apparatus with a camera shake correction function according to the first embodiment of the present invention. The image pickup apparatus with a camera shake correction function is mainly composed of a photographing

In addition, there is a translational motion component in addition to a rotational motion component such as a rotation angle. As a means for detecting translational motion, a first method for obtaining a distance from a certain plane using a line sensor (optical sensor) or ultrasonic waves, or a 6-axis inertial sensor (3-axis acceleration sensor, 3-axis angular velocity sensor) is used. There is a second method for obtaining translational motion. In the first method for obtaining the distance from the plane, the reference plane is indispensable, so that the constraint condition increases when the camera is held. Further, in order to obtain the translational motion in the biaxial direction, two reference planes are required, and further constraint conditions are required. In the second method using a six-axis inertial sensor, the translational acceleration can be obtained. However, in order to obtain the translational distance, two-time integration is required. Due to the influence of the integration error, the translational momentum is highly accurate. Cannot be asked.

In FIG. 4, reference numeral 60 is a variable apex angle prism, reference numeral 61 is a lateral apex angle changing actuator, reference numeral 62 is a lateral apex angle detecting element, reference numeral 63 is a vertical apex angle changing actuator, and reference numeral 64 is a vertical apex angle changing actuator. It is a vertical angle detection element. The variable apex angle prism 60 prepares two circular plate glasses, and is connected between the plate glasses by a cylindrical transparent bellows-shaped spring portion made of a special film such as polyethylene resin. The inside is filled with a high refractive index liquid having viscosity. By changing the apex angle, the incident light is changed to an arbitrary position, and the imaging region in the image sensor is changed. As a drive mechanism for the apex angle changing actuators 61 and 63, the variable apex angle prism 60 is directly mechanically connected to the coil and energized, and acts between the permanent magnet fixed to the lens barrel and the coil. Use electromagnetic force. The coil may be provided in the direction of tilting.
[0036]
Also, the present invention is not limited to the methods shown in FIGS. 2 to 4 described above, and for example, a configuration in which the reading position of an image stored in a field memory is changed according to the amount of blur may be corrected. Any mechanism may be used.
[0037]
Now, the amount of blur on the image plane will be described. In general, there are two types of blur due to rotational motion and translational motion. The angular velocity detection unit (A) 32 and the angular velocity detection unit (B) 33 described above can detect the angular velocity due to the rotational motion, but have no detection ability for the translational motion. Incomplete correction due to translational movement becomes prominent when the distance between the camera and the subject is relatively short, and a sufficient correction effect cannot be obtained particularly in close-up photography such as close-up photography.

In the present invention, when the close-up mode is selected, it is predicted that the

As described above, when the close-up mode is selected, it is predicted that sufficient image blur correction cannot be performed. Therefore, by prohibiting the blur correction, unnecessary blur correction is avoided and inadvertent power consumption is avoided. Can be suppressed.

(Embodiment 2)
In this second embodiment, it is predicted that sufficient blur correction cannot be performed at the time of so-called close-up photography in which the distance between the subject and the camera housing is measured at an arbitrary part and the distance is smaller than a predetermined distance. In view of this, unnecessary power correction is not performed, thereby avoiding unnecessary power consumption. The configuration and operation will be described below.

FIG. 8 is a graph showing the dependency of the distance to the subject on the ratio of the image blur due to translational motion (cannot be corrected) to the image blur correction due to the rotational motion (can be corrected). Here, the rotational motion uses a rotation angle amount of 5 (mrad) at an exposure time of 1/4 (sec) as a reasonable value from the result of human hand shake measurement, and a focal length f = 5.6 (mm). Assuming a lens, the amount of blurring on the image plane with respect to the subject on the optical axis when rotated is used. Similarly to the rotational motion, the translational motion is assumed to be about 1 (mm) from the result of human hand shake measurement, and the amount of blurring when the focal length f = 5.6 (mm) is obtained. When the distance to the subject is about 200 mm, the image blur amount due to the rotational motion is approximately equal to the image blur amount due to the translational motion. In this embodiment, a predetermined threshold is provided for the distance to the subject. If the threshold is smaller than this threshold, it is determined that a sufficient correction effect cannot be obtained due to the influence of translational motion, and the image

Here, the camera shake detection value indicates the rotation angle by the rotational motion, and strictly speaking, it is different from the translational motion, but it is assumed that there is a correlation between the rotational momentum and the translational motion (approximately the same tendency), Judgment. When the amount of blurring during exposure is large, the distance to the subject is close, and when it is greatly affected by translational movement, there is a high possibility that it will be a blurred image, so by preventing that image from being saved, Failure shots can be reduced.

【The invention's effect】
An imaging apparatus with a camera shake correction function according to the present invention (claims) 1 ), The distance between the subject and an arbitrary part of the apparatus housing is measured by the distance measuring means after the start of imaging, and if the measured distance is shorter than a predetermined threshold value, the blur correction by translational motion is performed. Because imperfections become prominent when the distance between the device and the subject is short, taking close-up photography as it is, taking into account that even if image blur is detected during exposure, sufficient blur correction cannot be obtained, Since unnecessary correction driving is stopped, inadvertent power consumption during close-up photography can be suppressed even when there is no close-up mode.
[0067]
An image pickup apparatus with a camera shake correction function according to the present invention (claims) 2 ) 1 When comparing the measured value by the distance measuring means with the threshold value, the threshold value is assigned in advance in the form of, for example, a look-up table according to the focal length and the exposure time, and the threshold value is changed according to the information of the look-up table. Therefore, it is possible to perform highly accurate control that does not depend on the shooting conditions (focal length, exposure time).
