本発明は、電子出版物の作成に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
販売促進のため、小売店から、販売商品を掲載したチラシなどの出版物が発行され顧客に配布される。チラシは、販売促進のために重要である。特にスーパーなどにおいては、チラシには多種多様な商品の情報を掲載し、特に商品画像を適切にレイアウトして、顧客の視覚に訴える。そのようなチラシはたとえば各週に発行される。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
そのような出版物について、企画から発行まで、多くの人の協力が必要である。企画はたとえば販売促進部が担当し、販売促進部の企画者が出版物の企画を立てる。企画者は、テーマを決定し、さらに、それに対応する掲載商品の数と掲載枠を販売部門の部門単位で設定する。各部門では、それにしたがって掲載商品を決定し、その情報（説明と商品画像を含む）を入稿する。それにしたがって、ページレイアウトが指示され、それにしたがって多数の担当者からの入稿原稿を編集する。これにより電子出版物が作成され、紙に印刷される。ここで、チラシに掲載する商品の数が増えるにつれ、進行管理が面倒になる。また、各週に発行される場合、複数の企画が平行して進行することになる。また、同じ小売店においても、異なった種々の題目の媒体としてチラシが発行されることもある。したがって、出版物の企画及びその進行管理を容易にすることが望まれる。

この発明の目的は、多数の入稿原稿から電子的に編集される出版物の企画とその進行管理を容易にすることである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明に係る出版用システムは、複数の部門から入稿されるデジタル原稿を基にした出版物作成のためのデータベースシステムと、前記データベースシステムに接続される複数の端末からなる出版用システムであり、前記データベースシステムは、出版に関連する情報を記憶するデータベースと、データベースの情報を基に出版物の企画から印刷データ作成までの進行を管理する管理手段とを備え、前記の管理手段は、ネットワークを介して、ディスプレイ装置を備えた端末からアクセス可能である。前記の管理手段は、企画者の端末からの要求に応じて、企画する出版物について部門ごとの掲載枠及び出版日程を設定するための企画入力画面をディスプレイ装置に表示し、企画入力画面で前記のデータが入力されると、その入力データを前記のデータベースに記憶し、部門の端末からの要求に応じて、当該部門に対して設定された掲載枠に掲載する商品を決定するための商品設定画面をディスプレイ装置に表示し、商品設定画面で当該企画における掲載商品が決定されると、そのデータを前記のデータベースに記憶し、部門の端末からの要求に応じて、前記の決定された商品のテキスト情報とデジタル画像情報を含む商品情報を入力するための掲載商品リスト画面をディスプレイ装置に表示し、掲載商品リスト画面で当該商品情報のデータが入稿されると、その入稿データを前記のデータベースに記憶し、レイアウト指示者の端末からの要求に応じて、前記企画出版物のページレイアウト情報を入力する画面をディスプレイ装置に表示し、当該出版物について部門ごとに決定された掲載枠及び商品情報に基いて前記画面でページレイアウト情報が入力されると、その入力データを前記データベースに記憶する。したがって、データベースを参照し、ページレイアウト情報に基いたＤＴＰ編集が可能となる。編集者の端末は、前記ページレイアウト情報を基に前記商品情報のデータの編集を行う編集手段を備える。

好ましくは、前記の管理手段は、ネットワークを介してログオンされたときに、企画の進行状況を示す基本画面を表示し、基本画面から前記の各種画面に移動可能とする。好ましくは、前記の基本画面は、部門の端末から表示を要求されたときは、当該部門に関連するデータのみを表示する。

好ましくは、前記の管理手段は、要求されると、前記のデータベースに記憶されたデータに基き、当該企画について商品情報データの入稿状況を表示する画面を表示する。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、添付の図面を参照して本発明の実施の形態を説明する。
図１は、出版物作成システムの全体の構成を示し、図２は、このシステムにおける情報の流れを示す。作成対象の出版物は、ここでは、多種多様な商品を掲載するチラシである。このシステムにおいて、データベースシステム１０、販売促進部のシステム２０、商品部のシステム３０、レイアウト指示者のシステム４０、ＤＴＰ編集者のシステム５０が、ネットワーク６０を介して接続されている。各システム１０〜５０の内部は、それぞれ、ローカルネットワークで接続されている。なお、商品部のシステム３０は、実際には複数の部門からなるが、図面を簡単にするため１つの部門のみを示している。このシステムにおいて、販売促進部では、企画者が販売促進のためチラシを企画する。商品部ではその各部門がその企画に対応した掲載商品を決定し、決定した商品の商品情報（テキスト情報とデジタル画像）の原稿を提供する。レイアウト指示者は、企画内容に応じてページレイアウトを指示し、ＤＴＰ編集者は、ページレイアウト情報を基に商品情報の編集を行う。そして、編集した電子データを用いて印刷し、配送する。図１のシステムでは、販売促進部２０で企画者が出版物の企画を立て、レイアウト指示者のシステム４０でレイアウト指示者が商品情報のレイアウトを行っているが、実際には、たとえば、販売促進部の企画者がレイアウト指示者を兼ねてもよい。この場合、販売促進部２０の企画者がレイアウトの責任者となって、どの商品枠をどのページにおくかを決める。これに基づき、ページ内のレイアウトは、システム５０でＤＴＰ編集者が決定する。なお、このシステムは、広告用の複数の媒体（異なる題号で発行される出版物）を扱えるが、ここでは、説明を簡単にするため媒体は１つのみであるとする。

データベースシステム１０は、商品情報データベースを記憶するデータベースサーバ１２と、制作管理データベースソフトを備える管理端末１４からなる。商品情報データベースサーバ１２は、過去の出版物企画情報（テーマ、商品、レイアウト）をデータベースとして蓄積しているとともに、現在進行中の企画に関するデータも記憶する。管理端末１４は、制作管理データベースソフトにより、データベースサーバ１２への入力や閲覧を管理する。管理端末１４はウェブサーバでもあり、ネットワーク６０を介して他のシステムと通信する。他の各システム２０，３０，４０，５０は、制作管理データベースソフトを用いて、出版物作成まで協力する。他のシステムの端末は、ウェブブラウザのＧＵＩによりウェブサーバーから各種画面を呼び出し、データベースの内容を閲覧するとともに、商品情報データベースへのデータの入力、変更などを行う。

管理端末１４は通常のコンピュータと同様の構成を備える。図３に示すように、管理端末１４は、全体を制御するＣＰＵ１４０を備える。ＣＰＵ１４０には、プログラム、データなどを記憶するＲＯＭ１４２、ワークエリアとしてのＲＡＭ１４４、ハードディスクドライブなどの記憶装置１４６、キーボード、マウスなどの入力装置１４８、プリンタなどの出力装置１５０、各種表示を行うディスプレイ装置１５２、及び、外部との通信のための通信装置１５４が接続される。記憶装置１０８（たとえばハードディスク装置のハードディスク）には、制作管理データベースソフト、ウェブサーバーソフトなどが記憶されている。

管理端末１４は、制作管理データベースソフトにより、出版物の企画から印刷までの進行を管理して、出版物の電子的制作作業を支援する。ここで、ウェブサーバ１６を介したアクセスに対応して、出版物の企画の入力、変更、閲覧、進行管理、データ入力などのため、各種ＧＵＩ画面が提供される。制作管理データベースソフトは、画面での操作に応じて、商品情報データベースのデータを管理する。

管理端末１４の制作管理データベースソフトは、１つの企画に関して、図４のフローのように制作を支援する。企画者の端末２２からの要求に応じて、企画する出版物について部門ごとの掲載商品の数と掲載枠及び出版日程を設定するための企画入力画面などをディスプレイ装置に表示する（Ｓ１０）。なお、ここでは、掲載枠の大きさを掲載枠の数で表わし、掲載枠の数を掲載商品の数と同じとしている。したがって、具体的には、掲載枠の設定において、掲載枠の数が入力され、その数は掲載商品の数と等しくなっている。企画入力画面で前記のデータが入力され企画が開始されると、その入力データを商品情報データベースに記憶する（Ｓ１２）。次に、各部門の端末３２，３４からの要求に応じて、当該部門に対して設定された掲載枠に掲載する商品を決定するための商品設定画面などをディスプレイ装置に表示する（Ｓ１４）。商品設定画面で当該企画について掲載商品が入力されると、そのデータを前記のデータベースに記憶する（Ｓ１６）。次に、各部門の端末３２，３４からの要求に応じて、掲載すると決定された前記の商品のテキスト情報とデジタル画像情報を含む商品情報を入力するための掲載商品リスト画面などをディスプレイ装置に表示する（Ｓ１８）。掲載商品リスト画面で当該商品情報のデータが入稿されると、その入稿データを前記のデータベースに記憶する（Ｓ２０）。また、いずれかの端末から要求があると、データベースに記憶されたデータに基き、当該企画について商品情報データの入稿状況を表示する入稿状況画面を表示する（Ｓ２２）。レイアウト指示者の端末４２から要求があると、企画内容を示す企画閲覧画面、商品情報閲覧画面などを表示する（Ｓ２４）。これを参考にて、ページレイアウトがＤＴＰ編集者に指示される。また、ＤＴＰ編集者の端末５２から指示があると、商品情報閲覧画面などを表示する（Ｓ２６）。ＤＴＰ編集者は、これを参考にして、指示されたページレイアウトと商品情報を用いて編集を行う。

次に、データベースシステム１０に用意されている各種画面の遷移について説明する。図５は、販売促進部のシステム２０、ＤＴＰ編集者のシステム４０、ＤＴＰ編集者のシステム５０でログインしたときの画面遷移を示す。ログイン画面でログインすると、企画リスト画面に移り、閲覧可能な企画の一覧が表示される。ここで、現在の入稿状況を表示できる。企画リスト画面から、企画入力画面、企画閲覧画面、商品情報閲覧画面、掲載商品リスト閲覧画面、撮影指示リスト画面に移動できる。企画入力画面では、企画情報の入力を行う。企画閲覧画面では、登録ずみの企画情報の閲覧を行う。掲載商品リスト閲覧画面では、週回に掲載される商品の一覧リストを表示する。撮影指示リスト画面では、撮影指示の受け取り確認を行う。商品情報閲覧画面では、商品について商品情報を閲覧する。また、企画閲覧画面から企画変更画面に移動できる。媒体企画変更画面では、媒体企画の変更を行う。また、商品情報閲覧画面から商品情報変更画面に移動できる。商品情報変更画面では、商品情報の変更を行う。なお、このシステムでは、企画は販売促進部でのみ企画入力画面及び企画変更画面での企画入力及び変更を可能としている。

図６は、商品部のシステム３０でログインしたときの画面遷移を示す。商品部は複数の部門からなるが、ログイン画面でログインすると、企画リスト画面に移り、その商品部門が関連する閲覧可能な企画の一覧が表示される。ここで、現在の入稿状況を表示できる。企画リスト画面から、掲載商品リスト閲覧画面に移動できる。掲載商品リスト閲覧画面では、週回に掲載される商品（その商品部門に関連したもの）の一覧リストを表示する。また、掲載商品リスト閲覧画面から、担当者設定画面、商品情報入力画面、商品情報閲覧画面に移動できる。担当者設定画面では、担当者の設定を行う。商品情報入力画面では、商品情報の入力を行う。商品情報閲覧画面では、商品について商品情報を閲覧する。また、商品情報閲覧画面から商品情報変更画面に移動できる。商品情報変更画面では、商品情報の変更を行う。また、掲載商品リスト閲覧画面、担当者設定画面、商品情報入力画面、商品情報閲覧画面、商品情報変更画面から企画閲覧画面に移動できる。企画閲覧画面では、登録ずみの企画情報の閲覧を行う。

以下に、このチラシ作成システムにおけるチラシ制作の進行について説明する。販売促進部のシステム２０は、企画者の端末２２を含む。この端末は、ネットワーク６０に接続されるウェブ端末でもあり、ネットワーク６０を介して管理端末１４などと通信する。企画者は、端末２２において、販売促進のための出版物（チラシなどの広告出版物）の企画を立てる。ここで商品情報データベースサーバ１２の過去の企画のデータや実績を読み出して、企画の参考にする。そして、企画についての情報（テーマ情報、担当部門、掲載枠数（商品数)）を決定する。また、企画者は、企画の内容の変更も行える。また、企画者は、企画リスト画面などで、その進行を管理する。

さらに詳しく説明すると、販売促進部において、企画者が端末２２で商品情報データベースソフトのログイン画面（図示しない）でログインすると、まず、閲覧可能な企画の一覧を示す企画リスト画面（図７）が表示される。この画面では、現在の入稿状況が企画ごとにテーブルとして表示される。現在の入稿状況を表わすデータ項目としては、週回、各種締切日（企画締切日、初校締切日など）、未入稿原稿の有無、現在の作業工程（たとえば色校編集中）があり、さらに、企画閲覧、入力修正、撮影指示のマスタ入力メニューを含む。「週回」は、たとえば、「2002年1月2週」のように発行の時期を表わす。ここで企画する媒体は、週刊なので、週回により特定される。「未入稿原稿の有無」は、商品情報が提出済みでないものが１件でも存在する場合は、「有」と表示される。「週回」の週回名を選択すると、その週回の企画における未入稿ランキングテーブル（図８）を示す画面に切り替わる。企画リスト画面の各種データや未入稿ランキングから企画の進行状況が判断できる。また、企画リスト画面で、「新規」ボタンを押すと、新規企画入力画面（図９）が表示され、新規の企画が立てられる。「検索」ボタンを押すと、検索対象となる年月を基に、該当する企画一覧が企画リスト画面と同じ体裁で表示される。「企画閲覧」で閲覧を選択すると、企画閲覧画面（図１０）に移動し、選択した週回の企画情報が表示される。「入力修正」の詳細を選択すると、掲載商品リスト閲覧画面（図１２）に移動し、選択した週回の商品リストが表示される。「撮影指示」の指示を選択すると、撮影指示リスト画面（図１３）に移動し、選択した週回の撮影指示リストが表示される。

未入稿ランキング画面は、企画リスト画面（図７）で週回名を選択すると表示される。この画面では、企画リスト画面の左フレーム部に、選択された週回の商品情報の入稿ランキングテーブル（図８）が表示され、また、ＤＴＰデータのダウンロードボタンが表示される。ここで、商品部のその企画に関連する全部門について、選択された週回の商品情報の入稿状況がランキング順に表示される。ランキングは、商品情報の入稿状況（すなわち、掲載対象商品の数に対する未入稿商品情報の数の比）により決定される。また、ＤＴＰ用データの２つのダウンロードボタン（全件、新規）が表示される。ＤＴＰ全件ダウンロードボタンを選択すると、商品情報の全件分のＤＴＰ用データがダウンロードできる。また、ＤＴＰ新規ダウンロードボタンを選択すると、商品情報の提出分のＤＴＰ用データがダウンロードできる。また、データベースに登録された内容で不正な値がないかをチェックするため、入力内容チェックボタンを追加してもよい。なお、未入稿ランキングテーブルで部門名を選択すると、未入稿リスト画面（図示しない）が表示され、未入稿原稿それぞれの内容、担当者、現状などが表示される。

図９は、新規企画入力画面を示す。新規企画入力画面は、企画情報の入力を行う画面であり、種々のデータ入力用のテキストボックスが配置されている。この画面は、上側の基本情報部と、その下方にあるコーナー企画情報部とからなる。コーナー企画情報部として、表紙のデータを入力する表示が表示されるが、必要ならば、「追加」ボタンを押すことにより表紙コーナー以外のコーナー企画部も追加できる。

基本情報部では、出版物が発行される週回(年月日）を設定し、配送開始年月日を入力する。なお、配送開始年月日が入力されると、初校締切日、再校締切日、色校正締切日、下版締切日などの日程が、それぞれに対応するテキスト入力ボックスに自動的に入力される。

表紙のコーナー企画部では、コーナー名のテキストボックスに「表紙」と入力されている。そして、「テーマ」、「内容」を入力する２つのテキストボックスが設けられる。すなわち、テーマはコーナーごとに設定できる。企画担当者は、「テーマ」に、企画のテーマを入力し、「内容」に、その内容を入力する。たとえば、今週のチラシのテーマを、「秋の味覚」とする。そして、その販売促進企画の内容を「内容」に入力する。

なお、企画者がレイアウト指示者を兼ねる場合は、たとえば、「内容」に、掲載位置などのレイアウトの詳細を記載する。また、企画入力画面の中に、ページレイアウト情報を入力する別のテキストボックスを設けてもよい。ＤＴＰ編集者は、この指示（ページレイアウト情報）に従ってレイアウトを行う。

コーナー企画部には、さらに、表紙に掲載する商品についての情報を入力する各種ボックスからなる帯入力枠が設けられている。帯入力枠は、担当部門、その部門に割り当てられた出版物中の掲載枠の数（これは掲載する商品の数に対応する）を含む。帯入力枠は、「追加」ボタンを選択すると、１行分追加される。

図１０は、企画閲覧画面を表示する。企画リスト画面で「企画閲覧」で閲覧を選択すると、選択した週回の企画閲覧画面が表示される。この画面では、選択した週回の登録済みの企画情報が表示される。新規企画入力画面と同様に、基本情報部とコーナー企画情報部とからなる。各コーナーにおいて、担当部門、枠とその数、及び、そのコーナーに掲載する商品の数についての帯入力データが表示される。ここで、「変更」ボタンを選択すると、企画変更画面に移動する。

図１１は、企画変更画面を示す。この企画変更画面は、企画入力画面と同様な画面であるが、既に提出ずみの情報が入力された状態で表示される。テキストボックスに必要な変更データを入力する。また、企画入力画面と同様に、「新規」ボタンを選択すると、新規にコーナーが１つ追加され、「追加」ボタンを選択すると、入力枠が１行分追加される。

図１２は、掲載商品リスト閲覧画面を示す。選択した週回の掲載商品リスト閲覧画面は、企画リスト画面で「入力修正」の詳細を選択すると、表示される。商品の表示件数は１ページ当り１６件である。それ以上は、リスト下部にページ番号が表示され、ページ番号を選択すると、各ページのリスト閲覧画面へ切り替わる。なお、図示していないが、検索機能も設けている。

商品についての各行の表示内容は、コーナー、テーマ、登録、枠の大きさ、商品名、価格、ＳＫＵコード、部門、担当者、提出日、画像（商品の掲載画像）、新撮、ポジを含む。「登録」欄は、現在の進行状況（たとえば、未入力、初校提出済みなど）を示す。「新撮」は、新撮影画像の受け取りの有無を示す。ここで、枠の大きさ、商品名、価格、ＳＫＵコードのテキストは選択可能であり、選択すると、新規入力の場合は、商品情報入力画面に切り替わり、すでに入力済みの場合は、商品情報閲覧画面に切り替わる。なお、ＳＫＵコードは、商品の一意のキーであるユニークキーである。

商品情報閲覧画面（図示しない）は、掲載商品リスト閲覧画面などから切り替えられる。この画面では、商品情報が詳細に表示される。ここで、「訂正」ボタンを押すと、商品情報変更画面（図示しない）に切り替わる。商品情報変更画面では、商品情報が変更できる。

図１３は、撮影指示リスト画面を示す。企画リスト画面で「撮影指示」の指示を選択すると、選択した週回の撮影指示リスト画面が表示される。この画面は、新規撮影が必要な商品について撮影指示の受け取り確認を行う。なお、図示していないが、検索機能を設けている。

商品部のシステム３０は、各部門の部門責任者の端末３２、その部門に属する複数の担当者の端末３４とを含む。この端末３４は、ネットワーク６０を介して通信するウェブ端末でもあり、ネットワーク６０を介して管理端末１４などと通信する。部門責任者は、端末３２において、企画者が決定した企画についての情報（媒体情報、テーマ情報、担当部門、商品数(枠数)）を読み出して、自己の部門に関係するものについて、掲載したい商品を決定し、担当者に入稿を指示する。担当者は、端末３４において、自己の担当する商品について掲載する情報（テキスト情報、画像、価格など）を決定する。必要なら、掲載商品について、商品情報データベースサーバ５２の情報を流用する。情報は、レイアウトに必要な商品情報(テキスト情報）と小組み情報を含む。担当者が決定を行うと、その掲載商品についての情報は確定する。

商品部のシステム３０でログインすると、企画リスト画面に移り、その商品部門が関連する閲覧可能な企画の一覧が表示される。この企画リスト画面は、図７に示した企画リスト画面と同様であるが、企画を立てないので、新規ボタンは設けられていない。また撮影指示の欄も設けられていない。「企画閲覧」の閲覧を選択すると、選択した週回の企画閲覧画面に移動し、選択した週回の商品リストを表示する。また、「入力修正」の詳細を選択すると、掲載商品リスト閲覧画面に移動し、選択した週回に掲載される商品の一覧リストを表示する。この掲載商品リスト閲覧画面は、図１１と同様であるが、その部門に関連した商品のみを表示する。

掲載商品リスト閲覧画面から、図１４に示す担当者設定画面に移動できる。担当者設定画面では、その週回に掲載される商品に対して、部門責任者が担当者の設定を行う。ここで、「コーナー選択」を選択すると、選択されたコーナー（たとえば表示）の商品が表示される。また、「登録選択」を選択すると、選択した登録状況の商品が抽出される。各商品に対して、担当者欄で担当者を設定する。「担当者登録」ボタンを押すと、担当者が割り当てられ、掲載商品リスト画面に変わる。なお、図示していないが、検索機能を設けている。

レイアウト指示のシステム４０は、指示者の端末４２を含む。この端末４２はウェブ端末でもあり、ネットワーク６０を介して管理端末１４などと通信する。レイアウト指示者は、端末４２において、商品部の各部門で決定されたレイアウト構想用の商品情報(テキスト情報）と小組み情報に基いてレイアウトを指示する。たとえば、レイアウト指示者は、新規企画入力画面で「内容」への入力が許可される。したがって、レイアウト指示者は、企画者と商品部との間に位置することになる。レイアウトの際にページネーションを行ってもよい。
