Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a golf ball. More specifically, the outermost cover layer is a transparent cover layer containing a glittering additive, which is excellent in distinguishability from a white ball in the vicinity, looks white from a distance, and has high fashionability. The present invention relates to a golf ball having good durability.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Many golf balls are usually colored in white. However, the white golf ball has the advantage of good visibility that can be easily distinguished from a distance. It had drawbacks such as poor identification. For this reason, so-called color balls that are colored in addition to white are also used in some areas, but color balls are often darker and more fashionable than white balls, but feel uncomfortable when addressed by golfers. There was a problem in terms of visual ease of use.
[0003]
In order to remedy these drawbacks, for example, in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 10-155937, the color tone of the ball is defined by the values of the color coordinates a and b representing the lightness L, hue, and saturation. Attempts have been made to improve difficulty in holding and visual discomfort, or to improve ball discrimination. Although this attempt has steadily improved and improved the above-mentioned drawbacks, it has not been fully satisfied and there is room for further improvement and improvement.
[0004]
In Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 61-82657, a white paint layer is coated on the surface of the cover layer, and then a coating that is a reflective layer containing a highly reflective fine powder and a fluorescent brightening agent is coated. Further improvement of visibility has been made, such as giving the brilliance in the light and seeing the spherical muscles well. However, in this case, since the reflective layer is provided in a layer immediately below the very thin clear layer forming the outermost layer and is close to the surface of the golf ball and is a thin layer of 10 to 40 μm, it was hit with a club. At this time, there was a problem in durability that the reflective layer was easily damaged and easily peeled off.
[0005]
As described above, there has never been a golf ball having a sufficient balance of visual performance and durability required for a golf ball, and the development thereof has been desired.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
For this reason, the present invention maintains visual ease of use when used close to that of a white ball, and is excellent in distinguishability from a white ball in the vicinity, and has various visual performances that appear white and visible from a distance. An object of the present invention is to provide a golf ball having durability, and to provide a golf ball having higher fashion than ever before.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, in the present invention, in a golf ball having one or more cover layers, the outermost cover layer is blended with a glittering additive composed of a metal mirror-finished powder having a particle size of 0.1 to 1.0 mm. When the white cover layer or the core layer is disposed under the transparent cover layer, and when the bright additive is blended in an amount of A part by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the transparent resin in the outermost cover layer, When the thickness of the outer cover layer is Bmm , A × B is 0.38 to 0.76 parts by weight / mm, and the thickness of the outermost cover layer is 0.5 to 3.0 mm. Provide a golf ball.
[0010]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Examples of the resin used in the transparent cover layer of the present invention include ionomer resins, urethane resins, ester resins, and the like. However, any resin that is usually used as a cover material and has transparency may be used. The thickness of the transparent cover layer is preferably 0.5 to 3.0 mm. If the thickness is less than 0.5 mm, there is a concern about durability such as breakage due to the impact of the club, and if it exceeds 3.0 mm, the flight distance may be adversely affected. In addition to the above resin, the cover layer may contain known additives such as an antioxidant, an ultraviolet absorber, and an ultraviolet stabilizer as long as the transparency is not impaired.
[0011]
When the lower layer subsequent to the transparent cover layer is a cover layer, the cover material may be a usual one. Moreover, when the lower layer following a transparent cover layer is a core layer, the core material used normally may be used similarly. However, it is essential that the colors are both white. In order to obtain white, for example, a white pigment such as titanium dioxide may be added. The reason for the white color is to make the ball look clearer and white when viewed through the transparent cover layer.
[0012]
Examples of the glittering additive used in the present invention include powder (A) in which a metal such as aluminum, nickel, stainless steel, iron, copper, and silver is mirror-finished to improve the glitter and reflection performance. Such powders, for example, is available as a powder (A) in Diamond Industrial Co., Ltd., "Diamond-piece H" and the like. Moreover, in order to improve the distinguishability of a ball | bowl, it can also color in arbitrary colors.
[0013]
The shape of the glittering additive need not be specified, but it is desirable that the particle size is 0.1 to 1.0 mm. If the particle size is less than 0.1 mm, the discrimination in the vicinity is weak, which is not preferable, and if it exceeds 1.0 mm, the whiteness is adversely affected and visually uncomfortable.
[0014]
In the case where the glittering additive is blended with A part by weight of the glittering additive with respect to 100 parts by weight of the transparent resin, when the thickness of the cover layer is B, A × B is 0.38 to 0.76 parts by weight.・ Blend to be mm . By setting the A × B to 0.38 to 0.76 parts by weight / mm, it is possible to obtain a sufficient discrimination effect, a clear white when viewed from a distance , and a visual discomfort during use. .
[0015]
Because of the above-described structure, when hit with a club, the reflective layer such as a ball in which a highly reflective fine powder is mixed with the above-described coating film, which is the reflective layer, is very close to the ball surface. In the present invention, the glittering additive is blended in the transparent cover layer having a thickness of 0.5 to 3.0 mm, and the glittering additive is scattered. Such a visual effect is always maintained while the ball is in use without causing the exfoliation additive to exfoliate, resulting in a golf ball having excellent durability.
[0016]
Furthermore, by blending the glittering additive in the transparent cover layer, it is possible to obtain a golf ball in which powders having various colors are scattered, and it is possible to impart an unprecedented rich fashionability.
[0017]
The transparent cover layer blended with the glittering additive of the present invention is prepared, for example, after measuring a predetermined amount of the transparent resin and other blending agents and the glittering additive, and then a normal kneader, such as a uniaxial or biaxial kneader. Are then used to form pellets, which are then coated on a white core layer or cover layer by an injection molding machine.
[0018]
【Example】
EXAMPLES Hereinafter, the present invention will be specifically described with reference to examples, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0019]
The golf ball subjected to the evaluation was prepared by using an injection molding machine to add a middle layer (lower layer cover) to the core layer made of polybutadiene, followed by the outermost layer (outermost cover). After coating, a transparent paint (clear layer) was applied. The glittering additive used was a blue powder that was color-treated after mirror-finishing aluminum.
[0020]
The ball evaluation method was as follows.
[0021]
Distinguishing from white ball: visually compared with white ball by golfer.
[0022]
Visibility from a distance: The golf ball was visually evaluated from the position 50 m away by the following criteria. The closer to white, the better the visibility.
[0023]
How to see from a distance 1 Appears white 2 Appears almost white 3 Appears blue-white Ease of use: Visual discomfort when addressed by a golfer was evaluated according to the following criteria.
[0024]
Visual discomfort when addressing ◎ No discomfort ○ Almost discomfort × Feeling discomfort [0025]
[Table 1]
[0026]
As is clear from Table 1, the golf ball of the present invention had good discrimination from the white ball, and when viewed from a distance, it looked as white as the white ball and had good visibility. Moreover, it was satisfactory also about the visual ease of use at the time of use.
[0027]
【The invention's effect】
The golf ball of the present invention retains the visual ease of use when used close to that of a white ball, is excellent in distinguishability from a white ball in the vicinity, looks white and has good visibility from a distance, and has a glittering property. The layer containing the additive is excellent in durability and more fashionable than ever.
