Description

The present invention relates to a wire pressure welding apparatus and a wire pressure welding method used for manufacturing a pressure contact connector by pressure-contacting and connecting a wire in a wire harness used for an automobile or the like to a pressure contact terminal.

Conventionally, as a wire pressure welding apparatus used for manufacturing this type of pressure welding connector, one having the configuration shown in FIG. 17 has been proposed. This pressure welding apparatus is provided with a connector holder 3 for holding the connector housing 2 of the pressure welding connector 1 and a notch slot (not shown) of a pressure welding terminal 4 mounted on the connector housing 2 so as to be movable up and down with respect to the connector holder 3. ) Are formed in the lower part of the wire holding part 7, the wire holding part 7 for positioning and holding the electric wire 5, the cutting edge 9 formed on the edge of the pressure welding blade 6, and the electric wire holding part 7. And a wire cutting part 8 having a receiving blade 10. In addition, 11 is an electric wire press cylinder which prevents the electric wire 5 from being pulled at the time of electric wire pressure welding.

When manufacturing the press contact connector 1 using this press contact apparatus, the connector housing 2 of the press contact connector 1 is held in the connector holder 3 of the wire press contact apparatus, and the wire 5 is placed above the press contact terminal 4 mounted on the connector housing 2. Is held by the electric wire gripping portion 7, the electric wire 5 is pressed by the electric wire pressing cylinder 11 to prevent the electric wire 5 from being pulled, and the electric wire cutting portion 8 is cut by the electric wire cutting portion 8 by the downward movement of the press contact blade 6. However, it is performed by pressing the electric wire 5 into the cut slot of the press contact terminal 4 with the press contact blade 6 to make a press contact connection (see Patent Document 1).

As another wire pressure welding device, as shown in FIG. 20, when the wire 5 is pressure-welded to the pressure contact terminal 14, the wire 5 in the vicinity of the pressure contact terminal 14 is bent to form the wire bent portion 5a. Proposed that the wire pressure contact portion of the pressure contact terminal 14 can be protected from the pulling force when the pulling force (pulling force) in the pulling direction acts on the electric wire 5 of the pressure welding connector 12 (see FIG. 21). Has been.

As shown in FIGS. 18 to 20, the details of the press contact apparatus are shown in a press contact head (not shown) provided so as to be movable up and down with respect to a connector holder (not shown) that holds the connector housing 13 of the press contact connector 12. The electric wire 5 is inserted into the notch slot 15 of the press contact terminal 14 mounted on the connector housing 13, which is mounted on the base 17 that moves up and down in accordance with the lifting operation of the press contact head and the lower portion of the base 17. A pair of press-contact blades 18 that are pushed in and connected to each other, and a portion of the lower portion of the base body 17 that protrudes in parallel to the press-contact blade 18 at a predetermined interval and is bent in parallel with the connector 5 while bending the electric wire 5. A pair of electric wire bending holding pieces 19 held by the electric wire holding portion 16, and the lower end of the bending holding piece 19 is below the press contact blade 18. It has a configuration in which long formed so that by the height extending below the wire bending portion 5a than.

When manufacturing the press-connecting connector 12 using this press-contacting device, the connector housing 13 of the press-connecting connector 12 is held in a connector holder (not shown) of the wire press-connecting device, and is previously placed above the press-connecting terminal 14 attached to the connector housing 13. The four electric wires 5 cut | disconnected by the set length are mounted. Next, the base body 17 is lowered, and the pressure contact blade 18 is moved downward to press the electric wire 5 between the pressure contact terminal 14 and the electric wire holding portion 16 in contact therewith, and into the cut slot 15 of the pressure contact terminal 14. The pushing of the electric wire 5 is started. On the other hand, when the electric wire bending holding piece 19 positioned outside the electric wire holding portion 16 is moved downward, the electric wire 5 that is in contact with the electric wire 5 is pressed while being bent downward to start pushing the electric wire 5 into the electric wire holding portion 16. . Further, the lowering operation of the base body 17 is continued, the pressing operation of the electric wire 5 by the press contact blade 18 and the electric wire bending holding piece 19 is finished, the press connection of the electric wire 5 to the press contact terminal 14, the holding to the electric wire holding portion 16, and the electric wire. The formation of the bent portion 5a is completed (see Patent Document 2).

However, when the pressure welding connector 1 is manufactured using the former wire pressure welding device, the wire 5 is cut by the wire cutting portion 8 by the downward movement of the pressure welding blade 6, and the pressure welding blade 6 cuts into the cutting slot of the pressure welding terminal 4. Since the electric wire 5 is pushed in and pressed and connected, the cutting work and the press connecting work of the electric wire 5 can be performed continuously in one process. However, when the bending work of the electric wire 5 is performed, the cutting of the electric wire 5 and the press contact connection are performed. It must be done in a separate process after the work. When the pressure connector 12 is manufactured using the latter wire pressure welding apparatus, the wire 5 is bent while the wire 5 is pushed into the cut slot 15 of the pressure contact terminal 14 by the downward movement of the pressure blade 18. The work and the pressure connection work can be performed continuously in one process, but the cutting process of the electric wire 5 needs to be performed in a separate process before the bending process of the electric wire 5, the start of the pressure connection work, or after the completion of these work. There is. For this reason, in these conventional electric wire pressure welding apparatuses, the cutting, bending process and pressure welding operation of the electric wire 5 cannot be performed continuously in one process, the production efficiency of the pressure welding connectors 1 and 12 is reduced, and the production cost is reduced. There is a problem of becoming higher.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-described situation, and it is possible to continuously perform wire cutting, bending and press-connecting operations in one step, improving the manufacturing efficiency of the press-connecting connector, and reducing the manufacturing cost. An object of the present invention is to provide a wire pressure welding apparatus and a wire pressure welding method.

In order to achieve the above object, an invention according to claim 1 of the present invention is provided with a connector holder for holding a connector housing of a pressure contact connector, and is provided so as to be movable up and down with respect to the connector holder. In a wire pressure welding apparatus comprising a pressure welding blade for pressure-welding a wire to the pressure-welded terminal, the lower die supporting the wire and the wire are cut and bent on one side in the longitudinal direction of the wire with respect to the connector holder. An electric wire cutting and bending die having an upper die is arranged, the lower die has a receiving blade for cutting the electric wire, and the upper die bends the cutting blade for cutting the electric wire and the electric wire end on the connector holder side. bending processing and a processing unit, wherein the lower mold of receiving blades are projectingly provided on the connector holder side, said connector housing of the insulation displacement connector retained in the connector holder A receiving blade insertion groove into which the lower die receiving blade is inserted is formed, and the lower die is provided so as to be able to advance and retract so that the lower die receiving blade can be inserted into and removed from the receiving blade insertion groove. It is an electric wire pressure welding apparatus.

According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the electric wire pressure welding apparatus according to the first aspect, the tip of the cutting blade in the upper die of the electric wire cutting and bending die is at least as much as the outer diameter of the electric wire than the lower end of the bending portion. It is characterized by projecting downward.

According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the electric wire pressure welding apparatus according to the first or second aspect , a plurality of lower blades of the wire cutting and bending die are formed, and at least one of the blades is the other. A plurality of upper cutting blades are formed to be recessed rearward from the receiving blade, and a cutting blade that is slid with the receiving blade disposed rearward is disposed so as to protrude forward from the other cutting blades. It is characterized by this.

According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the electric wire pressure welding apparatus according to any one of the first to third aspects, when the electric wire is pressure-connected to the pressure-contact connector, at least the electric wire gripping portion is placed in the connector holder. An electric wire gripper moving means for moving forward and backward is provided.

According to the wire pressure welding apparatus according to claim 1 of the present invention, an electric wire provided with a lower die for supporting the electric wire and an upper die for cutting and bending the electric wire on one side in the longitudinal direction of the electric wire with respect to the connector holder. Since the cutting and bending mold is arranged, when manufacturing the pressure welding connector, it becomes possible to continuously perform the cutting, bending process and pressure welding connection work of the electric wire in one process, improving the manufacturing efficiency of the pressure welding connector, Manufacturing cost can be reduced. Also, when performing wire cutting, bending, and pressure connection work, the lower die of the wire cutting and bending die is advanced to the connector holder side, and the lower die receiving blade is inserted into the connector housing of the pressure welding connector. It is configured to be inserted into the groove. Therefore, it becomes possible to cut and bend the electric wire in the connector housing, and the cut portion of the electric wire is exposed from the outer surface of the manufactured press contact connector, and the conductor of the cut portion is adjacent to the conductive metal object. It is possible to prevent problems such as touching and causing a short-circuit accident.

According to the electric wire pressure welding apparatus of the second aspect of the present invention, the electric wire bending process by the bending portion is not started during the electric wire cutting process by the upper die of the electric wire cutting bending die, and the electric wire cutting process is started. At the same time as or after the end, the electric wire bending process is started. Therefore, during the cutting process of the electric wire, it prevents the electric wire from being broken due to the tensile force acting on the electric wire, or excessive stress acting on the upper cutting blade, causing the cutting blade to be deformed or damaged. can do.

According to the wire pressure welding apparatus according to claim 3 of the present invention, among the plurality of receiving blades in the lower die of the wire cutting and bending die and the plurality of cutting blades in the upper die, at least a pair of receiving blades and cutting blades to be slid together. Since the position is displaced in the front-rear direction from the position of the other receiving blade and cutting blade to be slid together, a step in the longitudinal direction is formed at a plurality of cut wire ends (cuts). Will be press-connected. As a result, it is possible to prevent such a problem that the conductors at the ends of the plurality of electric wires after the press-contact connection are brought into contact and short-circuited due to deformation, dew condensation, or the like.

According to the wire pressure welding apparatus of claim 4 of the present invention, when the wire is pressure-connected to the pressure-welded connector, since the wire gripping portion moving means for moving the wire gripping portion back and forth with respect to the connector holder is provided, When the bending portion of the upper mold of the bending die is pressed against the electric wire to form the bent portion of the electric wire, excessive tension does not act on the electric wire, and it is possible to reliably prevent the electric wire from being stretched and causing damage. In addition, since the electric wire can be gripped with a predetermined tension by the electric wire gripping portion, the electric wire can be accurately positioned and placed above the cut slot of the press contact terminal held by the connector holder. Can do. Therefore, the electric wire can be pressed into the notch slot of the press contact terminal of the press contact connector with high precision by the press contact blade, so that the press contact connection can be ensured.

Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. When the upper die 38 is lowered along with the lowering operation of the press contact blade 30, the electric wire 21 is cut and vertically bent downward, and an electric wire bending portion 21 a (see FIGS. 9 and 10) is formed at the end of the electric wire 21. Is done.

More specifically, as shown in FIGS. 1, 3, and 4, the lower die 36 has, for example, three wire guide grooves 42 that guide and support the electric wire 21 on the upper portion of the lower die base 40 in a rectangular block shape. For example, three receiving blades 44 and 45 that project the electric wire 21 toward the connector holder 24 are projected from the upper portion of the lower mold base 40 on the connector holder 24 side. The central receiving blade 44 is disposed so as to be recessed behind the two receiving blades 45 on both sides by, for example, about 3 mm (leftward in FIGS. 1 and 4). The lower die 36 is arranged such that the lower part of the lower die base 40 is fixed to a moving table 56 mounted on a fixed base 54 so that the lower die 36 can be moved back and forth with respect to the connector holder 24. It is configured so that it can be inserted into and removed from the receiving blade insertion groove 23 formed in the connector housing 22.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 5, the upper die 38 is rubbed with the receiving blades 44, 45 below the rectangular block-like upper die base 46 to cut the electric wire 21, for example, three cutting blades 48, 49, and a bent portion 50 that bends the end portion of the electric wire 21 on the connector holder 24 side that is cut by the cutting blades 48, 49 adjacent to (close to) the side of the connector holder 24 of the cutting blades 48, 49. And are formed. The central cutting edge 48 protrudes forward by a distance that the receiving blade 44 is recessed backward, that is, 3 mm, from the two cutting edges 49 on both sides (left side in FIGS. 1 and 5 (c)). It is arranged. Moreover, the bending process part 50 is formed in the R type which curves outwardly convexly. Furthermore, when the tips of the cutting edges 48 and 49 are at least as much as the outer diameter of the electric wire 21 than the lower end of the bent portion 50, for example, when the outer diameter of the electric wire 21 is 1.4 mm, the lower side (lower die 36 side). Are formed so as to protrude by 1.4 mm or more.

Further, as shown in FIG. 1, the electric wire 21 connected to the press contact terminal 26 of the press contact connector 20 in parallel with the press contact blade 30 at the lower part on the other side (right side in the illustrated example) of the press contact blade holder 52. An electric wire bending die 58 for bending the rear portion (right side in FIG. 1) downward is disposed, and the tip (lower end) of the electric wire bending die 58 is disposed at the upper rear portion of the connector housing 22 of the press contact connector 20 corresponding thereto. A recessed groove 60 to be inserted is formed. Then, the electric wire bending die 58 is lowered along with the lowering operation of the press contact blade 30, whereby the portion of the electric wire 21 located at the rear of the press contact terminal 26 is bent vertically at the opening inner edge portion of the groove 60 to form a crank shape. The electric wire bending part 21b (refer FIG. 9) is formed.

The wire pressure welding apparatus of the present embodiment has the above configuration. A method for manufacturing the press-connecting connector 20 using this press-connecting device will be described below. First, as shown in FIG. 1, the connector housing 22 of the press contact connector 20 is positioned and held on the connector holder 24, and three insulating coatings are formed above the cut slots 28 of the press contact terminals 26 mounted on the connector housing 22. For example, the electric wire 21 travels in the arrow direction (left direction) in FIG. 1 and is placed, and is held and fixed by the electric wire holding portions 32 and 32. The electric wire 21 may run in the opposite direction, that is, from the left to the right in FIG.

Next, as shown in FIG. 6, the moving table 56 is moved in the direction of the arrow (to the right), the lower die 36 of the wire cutting and bending die 34 is advanced, and the receptacle formed on the connector housing 22 of the pressure contact connector 20. The receiving blades 44 and 45 of the lower mold 36 are inserted into the blade insertion groove 23.

Next, as shown in FIG. 7, the press contact blade holder 52 is moved downward, and the press contact blade 30 and the upper die 38 of the wire cutting and bending die 34 are lowered (in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 7). The cutting blades 48 and 49 of the upper die 38 are brought into contact with each other.

Next, as shown in FIG. 8, the lowering operation of the press contact blade 30 and the upper die 38 is further continued, and the three receiving blades 44 and 45 of the lower die 36 and the three cutting blades 48 and 49 of the upper die 38 are continued. The three electric wires 21 are cut between them. In the press contact apparatus of this embodiment, as described above, the center receiving blade 44 is arranged to be recessed 3 mm behind the receiving blades 45 on both sides, and the center cutting blade 48 is more than the cutting blades 49 on both sides. 44 is disposed so as to protrude forward by an amount recessed by 3 mm rearward. Therefore, as shown in FIGS. 11 and 12, the three electric wire 21 end portions (cut ends) on the side of the connector holder 24 are formed with a step of 3 mm in the longitudinal direction of the electric wire 21.

Thus, among the plurality of receiving blades 44 and 45 in the lower die 36 of the wire cutting and bending die 34 and the plurality of cutting blades 48 and 49 in the upper die 38, at least a pair of receiving blades 44 and cutting blades 48 that are slid together. If the position of is shifted and displaced in the front-rear direction relative to the positions of the other receiving blade 45 and cutting blade 49 to be slid together, a step in the longitudinal direction is formed at the ends (cuts) of the plurality of cut wires 21. In this state, the plurality of electric wires 21 are press-connected. As a result, it is preferable because the conductors at the ends of the plurality of electric wires 21 after the press-contact connection can be prevented from being brought into contact with each other due to deformation, condensation or the like and short-circuited.

Next, as shown in FIG. 9, the lowering operation of the press contact blade 30 and the upper die 38 is further continued, and at the same time as or after the end of the cutting process of the electric wire 21, the electric wire 21 is moved by the bending portion 50 of the upper die 38. Pressing downward, the ends of the three electric wires 21 on the connector holder 24 side are bent substantially vertically downward to form an electric wire bent portion 21a. At the same time as this operation, the electric wire bending mold 58 is lowered, and the three electric wires 21 positioned at the rear end (right side in FIG. 9) of the tip end are pressed downward to be bent substantially vertically downward. Thus, the crank-shaped wire bending portion 21b is formed. Further, simultaneously with the end of the bending process of the electric wire 21, the lowering operation of the press contact blade 30 causes the blade 30 to contact and press the electric wire 21, and the operation of pushing the electric wire 21 into the cut slot 28 of the press contact terminal 26 is started.

Note that, as described above, the pressure welding apparatus according to the present embodiment is formed such that the tips of the cutting blades 48 and 49 of the upper mold 38 protrude below the lower end of the bending portion 50 by at least the outer diameter of the electric wire 21. Has been. Then, during the cutting process of the electric wire 21 by the upper mold 38 of the electric wire cutting bending mold 34, the bending process of the electric wire 21 by the bending unit 50 is not started, and at the same time or after the end of the cutting process of the electric wire 21. The bending process of the electric wire 21 is started. Accordingly, a tensile force acts on the electric wire 21 during the cutting process of the electric wire 21 and the electric wire 21 is torn off, or an excessive stress acts on the cutting blades 48 and 49 of the upper die 38 to deform the cutting blades 48 and 49. This is preferable because it can prevent problems such as breakage.

Next, as shown in FIG. 10, the lowering operation of the pressure contact blade 30 is continued, and the wire 21 is pushed into the cut slot 28 of the pressure contact terminal 26 by the pressure contact blade 30, thereby tearing the coating of the wire 21. 11 is moved down to the bottom dead center to press-connect the conductor of the electric wire 21 to the press-contact terminal 26, and the press-contact connector 20 as shown in FIG. 11 is manufactured. Next, the movement of the press contact blade holder 52 is reversed, the press contact blade 30, the upper die 38 and the wire bending die 58 of the wire cutting and bending die 34 are raised and retracted, and the wire gripping portions 32 and 32 are opened to grip the wire 21. To release. In this manner, the cutting, bending process and press-connecting work of the electric wire 21 in one process are finished, and the next press-connecting connector 20 is prepared.

Next, as shown in FIG. 12, the upper convex protective cover 62 is inserted into the upper convex U-shaped electric wire pressure connection portion of the press contact terminal 26 of the press contact connector 20, and the manufacture of the press contact connector 20 is completed. To do. In addition, if the electric wire pressure contact connection portion is bent in a U shape in advance as described above, it is not necessary to apply an excessive bending force to the electric wire 21 when the protective cover 62 is inserted to be bent in a U shape. In addition to facilitating the manufacture of the press-connecting connector 20, it is preferable because the wire 21 is not bent by being forcibly damaged and the quality is improved.

According to the wire pressure welding apparatus and the wire pressure welding method of the present invention, the lower die 36 and the wire 21 that support the wire 21 are cut on one side in the longitudinal direction of the wire 21 with respect to the connector holder 24 as in the above embodiment. Since the electric wire cutting and bending die 34 including the upper die 38 to be bent is disposed, and the electric wire 21 is press-contacted using the cutting and bending die 34, the electric wire 21 is manufactured when the press-connecting connector 20 is manufactured. It is possible to continuously perform the cutting, bending process and press-connecting work of 21 in one process, and the manufacturing efficiency of the press-connecting connector 20 can be improved and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.

Further, the wire pressure welding apparatus of the present embodiment advances the lower die 36 of the wire cutting / bending die 34 toward the connector holder 24 side when the wire 21 is cut, bent and pressed. The blade 44 can be inserted into the receiving blade insertion groove 23 formed in the connector housing 22 of the pressure contact connector 20. Then, it becomes possible to cut and bend the electric wire 21 in the connector housing 22, and the cut portion of the electric wire 21 is exposed from the outer surface of the manufactured press contact connector 20, and the conductor of the cut portion is adjacent to the conductive portion. This is preferable because it is possible to prevent a problem that a short circuit accident is caused by touching the metallic material.

In the upper die 38 of the wire cutting and bending die 34 in the above embodiment, the cutting blades 48 and 49 and the bending portion 50 are formed on the common upper die base 46, but the cutting blades are provided on each independent upper die base. 48 and 49 and the bent portion 50 may be formed. The upper die 38 is arranged in parallel with the press contact blade 30 on a press contact blade holder 52 that can be moved up and down, and is configured to move up and down in cooperation with the press contact blade 30. What is the press contact blade holder 52? You may make it arrange | position to another holder which can raise / lower. Further, the pressure contact connector 20 is not limited to the electric wire connection of the lamp unit, but can be applied to other various electric wire connections. Furthermore, the electric wire 21 can be applied to a plurality of wires other than three or a single wire, and a configuration in which a plurality of conductors are arranged in parallel on a covering body of one electric wire 21 may be used.

13 is a front view showing a wire pressure welding apparatus A further different from the embodiment of the present invention (the pressure welding blade 30 and the wire cutting and bending die 34 are not shown), and FIG. 14 is a plan view thereof. This wire pressure welding apparatus A is a connector holder moving means for reciprocally moving the connector holder 24 of the apparatus of the above-mentioned embodiment in the same direction in the longitudinal direction of the wire 21 together with the wire gripping portions 32, 32 arranged on both sides thereof. 64 and the electric wire gripping portions 32 and 32 are driven independently of the connector holder moving means 64, and are provided for each of the electric wire gripping portions 32 and 32 and individually move forward and backward with respect to the connector holder 24. Moving means 66, 66.

The connector holder moving means 64 has a rectangular plate-shaped moving base 68 that supports the connector holder 24 and the electric wire gripping portions 32, 32, and a linear drive source 70 that reciprocates the moving base 68 in the longitudinal direction of the electric wires 21. . The linear drive source 70 is, for example, an LM guide actuator, that is, an LM guide 74 disposed on the gantry 72 along the longitudinal direction of the electric wire 21, and slidably provided on the LM guide 74. And two servo blocks (not shown) for reciprocating (driving) the slide block 76 in the longitudinal direction of the electric wire 21 by a ball screw (not shown).

The moving base 68 of the connector holder moving means 64 has two stoppers 80 made of bolts screwed to brackets 78 erected on both sides in the longitudinal direction of the pedestal 72 so as to face the moving base 68 therebetween. Thus, the movement distance of the movement base 68 is adjusted and regulated. In this electric wire pressure welding apparatus A, when the electric wire 21 is pressure-welded to the pressure-contact terminal 26 of the pressure-contact connector 20 with the pressure-welding blade 30, the bending height of the bent portion 21a formed in the electric wire 21 is, for example, 2.7 mm. A gap of 2.7 mm is formed between the stopper 80 on the front side (left side in FIG. 13) and the moving base 68 so that the moving base 68 can move 2.7 mm forward (left side in FIG. 13). The positions of the stoppers 80 on the rear side or both sides are adjusted.

The electric wire gripper moving means 66 and 66 include linear drive sources 84 and 84 mounted on a moving base 68 via cradles 82 and 82, respectively. Each linear drive source 84 is, for example, an LM guide actuator, that is, an LM guide 86 disposed on a pedestal 82 along the longitudinal direction of the electric wire 21, and slidably provided on the LM guide 86. The slide block 88 is fixed to the lower portion of the housing 32 and a servo motor (not shown) that reciprocates (drives) the slide block 88 in the longitudinal direction of the electric wire 21 by a ball screw (not shown). Other configurations are substantially the same as those of the wire pressure welding apparatus of the above-described embodiment (see FIGS. 1 to 10).

FIG. 15 is a front view (a pressure welding blade 30 and a wire cutting bending die 34 are not shown) showing a wire pressure welding apparatus B which is further different from each of the embodiments of the present invention. This wire pressure welding apparatus B does not include a wire bending die 58 (see FIG. 1 etc.), and the wire gripping portion 32 is not provided on the rear side (left side in FIG. 15) of the connector holder 24. The configuration is substantially the same as apparatus A. The wire pressure welding device B is arranged in relation to the wire pressure welding device A as shown in FIG. 16, for example, in series behind the wire pressure welding device A, and two wire guide rolls 90. , 90, and is disposed at a position that has undergone a 180-degree direction change.

In this electric wire pressure welding apparatus B, when the electric wire 21 is pressure-welded to the pressure-contact terminal 26 of the pressure-contact connector 20 with the pressure-welding blade 30, the bending height of the wire bending portion 21a formed on the electric wire 21 is, for example, 2.7 mm. A gap of 2.7 × 3 = 8.1 mm is formed between the stopper 80 on the front side (the right side in FIGS. 15 and 16) and the moving base 68, and the moving base 68 moves forward (see FIGS. 15 and 16). The position of the stopper 80 on the front side, the rear side or both sides is adjusted so that it can move 8.1 mm to the right). In addition, the linear drive source 70 of the connector holder moving unit 64 and the linear drive source 84 of the wire gripper moving unit 66 in the wire pressure welding apparatuses A and B include air, a hydraulic cylinder, a magnet, a screw, and a motor in addition to the LM guide actuator. Combinations may be used.

Next, when manufacturing the pressure contact connector 20 with the wire pressure welding apparatus A arranged in the arrangement relationship (layout) as shown in FIG. 16 and the pressure welding connector 92 without the wire bending portion 21b with the wire pressure welding apparatus B. First, as shown in FIG. 16, a plurality of (three in this example) insulated wires 21 fed from a feeding device (not shown) are placed in the wire pressure welding device B from the left side of the drawing. Through the right side, the direction is changed 180 degrees counterclockwise by the two electric wire guide rolls 90, 90, and the electric wire pressure welding apparatus A is run from the right side to the left side.

Next, the ends of the three electric wires 21 are held by the retainer 94 such as a clamp or a hook, and held in the connector holder 24 of the electric wire pressure welding apparatus A in a state where the electric wires 21 are pulled with a predetermined tension. The pressure contact terminal 26 mounted on the connector housing 22 of the pressure contact connector 20 and the notch slot 28 of the pressure contact terminal 26 mounted on the pressure contact terminal 92 held by the connector holder 24 of the wire pressure welding apparatus B are mounted above the cut slots 28. Put.

Next, in a state where the electric wire 21 is pulled in this manner, the electric wire gripping portions 32 and 32 disposed on both sides of the connector holder 24 of the electric wire pressure welding apparatus A and the connector holder 24 of the electric wire pressure welding apparatus B are held and fixed.

Next, the linear drive source 70 in each connector holder moving means 64 of the wire pressure welding apparatus A and the wire pressure welding apparatus B is simultaneously driven to move the moving base 68 of the connector holder moving means 64 on the wire pressure welding apparatus A side forward (FIG. 16). 2.7 mm to the left of the wire) to form a 2.7 mm slack in the wire 21 between the retainer 94 and the wire pressure welding device A, and the connector holder moving means 64 on the wire pressure welding device B side. The moving base 68 is moved forward by 8.1 mm (to the right in FIG. 16), and the extra length slack of 2.7 mm × 2 = 5.4 mm is applied to the electric wire 21 between the electric wire pressure welding device A and the electric wire pressure welding device B, that is, A surplus length of 2.7 mm is formed behind the wire pressure welding apparatus A (to the right in FIG. 16) and forward of the wire pressure welding apparatus B (to the right in FIG. 16).

Next, the pressure welding blade 30 of the wire pressure welding apparatus A, the upper die 38 and the wire bending die 58 of the wire cutting and bending die 34 are lowered, and between the receiving blades 44 and 45 of the lower die 36 and the cutting blades 48 and 49 of the upper die 38. Then, the three electric wires 21 are cut and processed. At the same time as or after the end of the cutting process, when the electric wire 21 is pressed downward by the bending portion 50 and the electric wire bending die 58 of the upper die 38, the linear drive sources 84 and 84 of the electric wire gripper moving means 66 and 66 are driven. Then, the electric wire gripping portions 32, 32 arranged on both sides of the connector holder 24 are moved forward by 2.7 mm toward the connector holder 24 in a state where the electric wire 21 is gripped.

As a result, the connector holder 24 and the both wires are gripped while absorbing the extra length slack (2.7 mm) formed in the front (left side in FIG. 16) and rear (right side in FIG. 16) of the wire pressure welding apparatus A. The excessive tension exceeding the tension does not act on the electric wire 21 between the portions 32 and 32, and the electric wire 21 is prevented from being stretched and causing damage. And the electric wire bending part 21a, 21b is formed in the three electric wires 21 by the side of the connector holder 24 by the downward pressing of the bending process part 50 and the electric wire bending type | mold 58. FIG. Further, simultaneously with the end of the bending process of the electric wire 21, the electric wire 21 is pushed into the cut slot 28 of the press contact terminal 26 by the lowering operation of the press contact blade 30, and the conductor of the electric wire 21 is press connected to the press contact terminal 26 of the press contact connector 20. The pressure connector 20 is manufactured.

In parallel with the press contact connection work of the wire 21 to the press contact connector 20 by the wire press contact apparatus A, the press contact connection work of the wire 21 to the press contact connector 92 by the wire press contact apparatus B is performed. That is, the pressure welding blade 30 of the wire pressure welding apparatus B and the upper die 38 of the wire cutting and bending die 34 are lowered, and the three electric wires 21 are interposed between the receiving blades 44 and 45 of the lower die 36 and the cutting blades 48 and 49 of the upper die 38. Cutting. At the same time as or after the end of the cutting process, when the electric wire 21 is pressed downward by the bending portion 50 of the upper die 38, the linear drive source 84 of the electric wire gripping portion moving means 66 is driven, and the front side of the connector holder 24 (FIG. 16). The wire gripping portion 32 disposed on the right side) is moved 2.7 mm toward the connector holder 24 while the wire 21 is gripped.

Thereby, the wire 21 between the connector holder 24 and the two wire gripping portions 32 and 32 is absorbed while absorbing the excess length slack (2.7 mm) formed in front of the wire pressure welding device B (right side in FIG. 16). By preventing excessive tension exceeding the tension from acting, it is possible to prevent the electric wire 21 from being stretched and causing damage. And the electric wire bending part 21a is formed in the three electric wires 21 by the side of the connector holder 24 by pressing below the bending process part 50. FIG. Further, simultaneously with the end of the bending process of the electric wire 21, the electric pressure blade 30 is lowered to push the electric wire 21 into the cut slot 28 of the press contact terminal 26, and the conductor of the electric wire 21 is press connected to the press contact terminal 26 of the press contact connector 92. The pressure contact connector 92 is manufactured.

After manufacturing the pressure contact connector 20, the movement of the pressure contact blade holder 52 of the wire pressure contact apparatus A is reversed, and the pressure contact blade 30, the upper die 38 of the wire cutting bending die 34 and the wire bending die 58 are raised and retracted, and the wire gripping portion 32 and 32 are opened and the holding | grip of the electric wire 21 is released. Further, the moving base 68 of the connector holder moving means 64 is moved 2.7 mm backward (to the right in FIG. 16) by the linear drive source 70, and the electric wires are moved by the linear drive sources 84, 84 of the electric wire gripper moving means 66, 66. The grip portions 32 and 32 are retracted 2.7 mm away from the connector holder and returned to their original positions. In this manner, the cutting, bending process and press-connecting work of the electric wire 21 in one process are finished, and the next press-connecting connector 20 is prepared.

In parallel with the return operation of the wire pressure welding apparatus A, the movement of the pressure welding blade holder 52 of the wire pressure welding apparatus A is reversed, and the pressure welding blade 30, the upper die 38 of the wire cutting bending die 34 and the wire bending die 58 are raised. Withdrawing, the electric wire gripping portions 32 and 32 are opened to release the electric wire 21. Further, the moving base 68 of the connector holder moving means 64 is moved 2.7 mm rearward (to the right in FIG. 16) by the linear drive source 70, and the electric wires are moved by the linear drive sources 84, 84 of the electric wire gripper moving means 66, 66. The grip portions 32 and 32 are retracted 2.7 mm away from the connector holder and returned to their original positions. In this way, the cutting, bending process and press-connecting work of the electric wire 21 in one process are completed, and the next press-connecting connector 92 is prepared.

For example, when manufacturing the pressure welding connector 20 using only the wire pressure welding device A, the wire 21 is pulled at a predetermined tension on each side of the connector holder 24 of the connector holder 24 of the wire pressure welding device A. After gripping and fixing by the disposed wire gripping portions 32, 32, the tension applied to the wire 21 positioned outside the wire gripping portion 32, 32 in the longitudinal direction of the wire is released and the wire 21 is moved in the longitudinal direction. It may be possible to move. Then, when the wire 21 is press-connected to the press-connecting connector 20, the wire-holding portions 32, 32 are connected to the press-connecting connector 20 without previously forming a slack in the wire 21 positioned outside the wire-holding portions 32, 32. In a state where the electric wire 21 is gripped, it is possible to move it toward the connector holder 24 without difficulty. Therefore, the connector holder moving means 64 that forms the slack of the extra length in advance on the electric wire 21 positioned outside the electric wire gripping portions 32, 32 is not necessarily required.

The electric wire pressure welding apparatuses A and B also include a lower die 36 that supports the electric wire 21 and an upper die 38 that cuts and bends the electric wire 21 on one side in the longitudinal direction of the electric wire 21 with respect to the connector holder 24. Since the electric wire cutting and bending die 34 is disposed, and the electric wire 21 is press-connected by using the cutting and bending die 34, when the press-connecting connectors 20 and 92 are manufactured, the electric wire 21 is cut, bent, and pressed. The operation can be performed continuously in one process, the manufacturing efficiency of the pressure contact connectors 20 and 92 can be improved, and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.

Further, as in the case of the wire pressure welding devices A and B, when the wire 21 is pressure-connected to the pressure-welded connectors 20 and 92, the wire gripping portion moving means 66 for moving at least the wire gripping portion 32 relative to the connector holder 24 is provided. If the bending portion 50 of the upper die 38 of the wire cutting bending die 34 is pressed against the electric wire 21 to form the electric wire bending portion 21a, excessive tension does not act on the electric wire 21, and the electric wire 21 is stretched and damaged. It can be surely prevented from occurring. In addition, since the electric wire 21 can be held in a state of being pulled with a predetermined tension by the electric wire holding portions 32, 32, the electric wire 21 can be accurately placed above the cut slot 28 of the press contact terminal 26 held by the connector holder 24. Can be positioned and placed. Accordingly, it is preferable that the electric wire 21 can be accurately pressed into the cut slot 28 of the press contact terminal 26 of the press contact connector 20 or 92 with the press contact blade 30 and can be reliably press contact connected.
