LEDへの通電路に限流素子として抵抗を接続した場合、電源電圧の変動やLEDの特性変化に対しLEDの明るさが変動し易いという問題があった。また、抵抗での電力損失が大きいという問題があった。

そこで本発明は、限流素子での電力損失を充分に低減でき、定格電力の範囲を広げることができるとともに電源電圧の変動やLEDの特性変化に対してLEDを安定して点灯させることができるLED点灯装置を提供する。
