従来、生ゴミ処理用ディスポーザの本体を構成する吸込ケーシングはアルミニウム製又は合成樹脂製の単一部品で構成されていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ディスポーザの吸込ケーシングが合成樹脂製であると、安価且つ軽量であるが、耐磨耗性が劣り、また発生する打撃音を透過させて騒音の原因となる等の欠点があった。この吸込ケーシングを金属製にすれば、耐磨耗性、騒音の問題は解決するが、重量があり高価になり、外観を美しく保つために塗装する必要があった。また、大容量の生ゴミをバッジ処理するために、吸込ケーシングは大容量が好ましく、一方固定刃と回転刃の部分は出来るだけ小さくして、コストダウンを図る必要がある。そこで上方は大容量で下方の回転刃の近くをコーン形に絞った吸込ケーシングが考案されたが、単一部品として製作するには構造が複雑になるという欠点があった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この発明は、生ゴミ処理用ディスポーザにおいて、略円筒形の樹脂製吸込ケーシング本体の内側に、管状の金属製ホッパーを嵌合させ、吸込ケーシング全体を二重構造とするとともに、ホッパーの外面を吸込ケーシング本体内面に密に嵌合する円筒面とし、ホッパーの内面を下方に向かってすぼまる漏斗状傾斜面とし、その漏斗状傾斜面の下端円周の下方内側にディスポーザの固定刃と回転刃が配置されるようにすることによって、上述した複雑構造及び耐久性不足等の問題を解決したものである。

金属製ホッパーの形状は吸込ケーシングの容量と切削刃の大きさ及びそれらの配置に従って任意の形状を採ることができるが、一実施例としてホッパーの外面を吸込ケーシング本体内面に密に嵌合する円筒面とし、ホッパーの内面を下方に向かってすぼまる漏斗状傾斜面とし、その漏斗状傾斜面の下端円周の下方内側にディスポーザの固定刃と回転刃が配置されるように成形する。

【発明の実施の態様】
この発明の実施態様を図1乃至図3に示す。生ゴミ処理用ディスポーザ1は上部に生ゴミ投入口2及び生ゴミ破砕部3を有し、下部に吐出口4を有する吐出ケーシング5内に、回転刃6と、この回転刃6の外周面に対向して配置された固定刃7と、回転刃6の駆動装置8とが配置され、回転刃6の回転に従いハンマー9と固定刃7とによって生ゴミの粉砕を行う。この発明のディスポーザ1は、略円筒形の樹脂製吸込ケーシング10本体の内側に、管状の金属製ホッパー11を嵌合させ、吸込ケーシング10全体を二重構造としている。

【発明の効果】
この発明は上記のように構成したので、下記のような作用効果を奏する。
(1)吸込ケーシングの内面をホッパーにより漏斗状に成形したので、生ゴミは破砕刃に対して少しずつ供給されるので、処理効率が良く、騒音や振動も少なくなる。
(2)吸込ケーシングが合成樹脂製本体と金属製ホッパーより形成されるので、製作が容易で、使用中の耐磨耗性が優れる。
(3)ホッパー部分の防錆処理は必要であるが、外観からは判らないので、意匠的に仕上げ塗装を施す必要がない。
