本発明は、携帯電話機、自動車電話機などの移動体通信機器、計測機器、リモートコントローラ、ハンディターミナル等のデータ入力装置やスイッチ装置等に用いられる照光式押釦スイッチに関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、携帯電話機などの入力装置に使用される照光式押釦スイッチでは、図7に示すように押釦スイッチ用カバー部材aを回路基板bと組み付けてケース内に収容し、これら押釦スイッチ用カバー部材aと回路基板bとにより押釦スイッチが構成されている。このような押釦スイッチは、文字・記号等の表示部a が天面に形成された複数のキートップ部a を表面に、また、裏面に各キートップ部a に対応する接点部cを有し、キートップ部a の押圧操作により接点部cが回路基板bの接点と直接あるいは金属皿バネd、樹脂状皿バネ等を介して間接的に接触して回路の開閉を行うが、押釦スイッチ用カバー部材aの下側にLED等の光源eを多数、例えば10〜15個程度を回路基板bに配置し、押圧操作時において、この光源eによりキートップ部aの表示部aを照射してその視認を容易にすることが行われている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上述した従来の照光式押釦スイッチにあっては、全てのキートップ部の天面の表示部を均一に照射することが難しく、照光ムラや輝度ムラが避けられず、また、多数のLEDを同時に点灯するため消費電力が大きくなるという問題があり、この照光ムラや輝度ムラをなくすためには、より高輝度のLEDを点灯させることで解決できるとも考えられるが、そうすると消費電力がさらに増大し、携帯電話機などの機器の使用時間が短くなり、また、大容量の電池パックが不可欠で機器の重量増大という新たな問題を生じる。さらに、これらLEDは、回路基板に多数個組み込まれるため、回路基板の回路設計において制約が多くなり設計時間が増加し、また、回路基板への組込コスト等、製造コストも割高となる欠点があった。
本発明は、これらの従来の諸欠点を解決しようとするもので、電力消費量を少なくし電池パック等を少容量化して小型化を図っても押釦スイッチ用カバー部材全体をムラなく照光できて表示部を明瞭に視認できるようにし、しかも、薄い面発光シートを使用するためスイッチ装置全体を薄くでき、LED等を回路基板に組み付けることがないので、回路基板の設計を含めた製造コストの低減が図られて、低コスト化の要請をも十分満足できる照光式押釦スイッチを提供することを目的としたものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下この発明の実施の形態を図面を用いて説明する。
図1は、この発明の第1の実施形態にかかわる照光式押釦スイッチを示し、文字、符号等の記号とした表示部1を有するキートップ部材2を表面側に形成し、かつ押圧部4とベース部4とを裏面側に形成した押釦スイッチ用カバー部材3と、回路基板8上に設けられた固定接点9の部分を除いた窓孔部を備えたベースフィルム6とを設け、該ベースフィルム6を回路基板8上に設置すると共に、前記固定接点9の上方に金属皿バネ5をベースフィルム6上に載置し、該金属皿バネ外周縁を面発光シート7をもってベースフィルム6上に接着することによって定着し、該面発光シート7を前記押釦スイッチ用カバー部材3のベース部4で押圧固定した構成からなる。
この面発光シート7は、例えば硫化亜鉛等の発光物質を電極を設けたフィルム間に注入し、電圧を印加すると蛍光を発する現象を起こすもので、いわゆるEL(エレクトロルミネセンス)シートと呼ばれているものである。この照光式押釦スイッチは、図1に示すように押釦スイッチ用カバー部材3の押圧部4の下方には可動接点部となる金属皿バネ5が回路基板8上の固定接点9に対向して設けられた状態に組み付けられ、ベースフィルム6上に設置された金属皿バネ5は前記面発光シート7で固定されていて、該面発光シート7は、金属皿バネ5全体を覆うように固定してもよいが、金属皿バネ5のクリック感、押圧時の感触を損なわないためには、金属皿バネ5のドーム状部分を抜いた状態で固定するのがよい。

以下、この発明の実施例を示す。
実施例1
シリコーンゴム組成物KE−1915(信越化学工業製)を用いて、成形用金型にて圧縮成形してキートップ部のある押釦スイッチ用カバー基材を成形した。次いでこのキートップ部の天面にシリコーン系の透光性着色塗料を用いてベタ印刷をし、透光性着色層を形成し、さらに、同じくシリコーン系の遮光性着色塗料を用い遮光性層を形成し、この遮光性層のキートップ部天面部分を従来より知られているレーザー加工機により除去して表示部を形成し押釦スイッチ用カバー部材とした。
次に、薄い金属(厚さ0.1mmのベリ銅)を材料として、プレス型成型により製作された金属製ドーム状の皿バネ(金属皿バネ)を、窓孔部(φ4.5mm)を形成したベースフィルム(厚さ50μmの透明PETフィルム)上に頂部を上方に向けて設置し、その周縁部およびベースフィルムを接着剤付き面発光シートで保持・固定し、これを回路基板の固定接点に位置合わせ設置し、さらに前記押釦スイッチ用カバー部材を押圧部が金属皿バネの頂部と対応し、かつベース部が面発光シートに対応するように設置した。この回路基板に設置された金属皿バネおよび押釦スイッチ用カバー部材をケース(図示せず)に組み込み、電源を入れると全ての表示部が鮮明にムラ無く照光して良好に視認できた。

次に、樹脂シートであるポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)シートにカーボン系導電性インクを用いてスクリーン印刷で接点を複数印刷成形し、このシートをプレス型成形により接点を中心とした領域に、印刷面と反対側の上方に向けて膨出したドーム状部のある可撓性皿バネを形成した。次にこの可撓性皿バネのドーム状部を窓孔状に抜いた接着剤付き面発光シートを前記樹脂シートに接着した。
この可撓性皿バネを、回路基板の固定接点に位置合わせ設置し、さらに前記押釦スイッチ用カバー部材を押圧部が可撓性皿バネの頂部と対応し、かつ押圧部が面発光シートに対応するように設置した。この回路基板に設置された可撓性皿バネおよび押釦スイッチ用カバー部材をケースに組み込み、電源を入れると全ての表示部が鮮明にムラ無く照光して良好に視認できた。なおこの場合、白色のPETを用いてドーム状の可撓性皿バネを成形することにより、面発光シートの光が白色のPETにより反射されてより効果的に光がキートップ部を照光することができた。
