本発明によると、上記課題は次のようにして解決される。
(1) 背凭れの上部より起立する枕支持杆の上端部前面に、前方に向かって突出する側面視凸型円弧状の枕受け面を設けるとともに、前端に拡幅頭部を有する有頭軸を、前記枕受け面の法線の方向を向くようにして突設し、ヘッドレストにおける後部シェルの後面に、前記枕受け面とほぼ同一曲率の側面視凹型円弧状の嵌合面を設けるとともに、前記有頭軸の軸部が挿通しうる上下方向を向く長孔を設け、前記嵌合面を枕受け面に上下方向に摺動可能として嵌合し、かつ有頭軸の軸部を前記長孔に挿通させるとともに、有頭軸の拡幅頭部を前記後部シェルの前面側に圧接させることにより、ヘッドレストを、枕受け面に沿って上下方向に首振り可能として、枕支持杆の上端部前面に装着する。
