DWDM方式により光波長多重及び分離を行う為には、光信号の中心波長やスペクトル幅等が、ITU−T(International Telecommunication Union−Telecommunition Standardization Sector)により標準化された規格に従ったものであることが必要である。

又OPT入力断ALM=N、即ち、入力有りの場合は、CLK再生不可ALM=A、又はフレーム同期LOSS ALM=A、又はERR ALM=Aの状態であっても、2R機能を選択する。

LOSS ALM=A、ERR ALM=Aとなるから、2R機能で動作する状態とする。
【0052】
又図2に於ける光通信装置11,31を、SDH(Synchronous Digital Hierarchy)装置又はSONET(Synchronous Optical Network)装置とした場合、前述のオートネゴシェーション期間を必要としないものである。そして、入力断検出等の場合の警報情報として、警報表示信号AIS(Alarm Indication Signal)を送出するものである。

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a wavelength conversion apparatus in a transmission system to which an optical wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) is applied.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In order to perform optical wavelength multiplexing and demultiplexing by the DWDM method, the center wavelength, spectrum width, etc. of the optical signal must conform to the standard standardized by ITU-T (International Telecommunication Union-Telecommunication Standardization Sector). is necessary. However, not all optical communication apparatuses currently satisfy the standard. A wavelength converter (transponder) is used to capture an optical signal of an optical communication apparatus that does not satisfy such a standard in the DWDM system or to perform relay transmission.
[0003]
The wavelength conversion device has a function similar to that of the relay device, and generally has a configuration having 3R functions of waveform shaping (Reshaping), retiming (Retiming), and identification reproduction (Regenrating). However, a configuration having a 2R function of waveform shaping and identification reproduction is also applied.
[0004]
FIG. 10 shows a conventional wavelength conversion device having a 3R function, where 100-1 to 100-n are transmission units, 200-1 to 200-n are reception units, 101 is an electro-optic conversion unit (O / E), and 102 is Waveform shaping unit, 103 is a clock extraction unit, 104 is a waveform reproduction processing unit, 105 is a selector (SEL), 106 is an electro-optic conversion unit (E / O), 107 is a control unit, 108 is an input interruption detection unit, 109 is a clock A reproduction detection unit, 110 an error rate detection unit, 111 an alarm information generation unit, 112 a wavelength multiplexing unit (MUX), 113 an external interface unit (IF), and 114 an optical communication device.

FIG. 12 is an explanatory diagram of a conventional wavelength conversion device having a 2R function. The same reference numerals as those in FIG. 10 denote the same functional parts, and 115 and 215 denote communication interface units. Compared to FIG. 10, the
[0012]
The wavelength conversion device having the 3R function shown in FIG. 10 performs clock recovery by a phase-locked loop circuit (PLL) and thereby has a jitter suppression effect, so that transmission quality can be improved. However, depending on the optical communication apparatus on the user side, this clock recovery means may not be applicable. In that case, the wavelength converter having the 2R function shown in FIG. 12 is used.
[0013]
The router in Gigabit Ethernet (registered trademark) (1000BASE-T, 10GBASE-X) performs auto-negotiation on the transmission speed and the like, and intermittently stops transmission during this auto-negotiation. Is. Therefore, when the
[0014]
FIG. 13 is an explanatory diagram of the above-described auto-negotiation between routers. For example, this auto-negotiation is performed sequentially from the low-speed side so that the transmission speed for communication between routers becomes the maximum allowable speed. It includes a function to set the optimal communication mode by making a meeting. The communication contents specified by IEEE802.3 are half duplex / full duplex setting, communication flow control, remote fault bit. , Acknowledge. As described above, it is necessary to use a 2R function wavelength conversion device between routers that perform such auto-negotiation because accurate clock recovery is not possible. However, since a continuous optical signal is transmitted after auto-negotiation, a 3R function wavelength converter can be used in that case.
[0015]
Further, when an optical signal is transmitted by, for example, an NRZ (Non Return to Zero) code, since there are few change points of the signal waveform, it becomes difficult to regenerate the clock, so that a 2R function wavelength converter is used. On the other hand, when transmission is performed using an RZ (Return to Zero) code, since there are many signal waveform changing points, clock generation is facilitated, and a 3R function wavelength converter can be used.
[0016]
As a wavelength conversion device having a 3R function in an optical wavelength division multiplexing system, a configuration for shaping a waveform in the state of an optical signal is also known. In this case, it is also known that photoelectric conversion means can be applied (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
When a 3R function wavelength conversion device of waveform shaping (Reshaping), retiming (Retiming), and identification reproduction (Regenrating) is used, transmission quality can be improved as described above. When performing auto-negotiation as in communication, a 3R function wavelength converter cannot be applied. Accordingly, when applied to inter-router communication, a 2R function wavelength converter that does not include a retiming function is used. That is, there is a problem that the cost increases because the wavelength conversion device with 3R function and the wavelength conversion device with 2R function are provided corresponding to the type of optical communication device.
[0019]
The present invention has a configuration including a 2R function and a 3R function, and an object thereof is to automatically process an optical wavelength division multiplexed signal with an optimum function.

The wavelength conversion device according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.1~ ΛnConversion toA plurality of transmitting units 10- 1 -10-n and the plurality of transmitters 10- 1 10 to n different wavelengths λ 1 ~ Λ n An optical signal transmission means including an optical wavelength

In addition, Ta is an auto negotiation period, Tb is a normal communication period, Tc is an input disconnection period, Td is a normal communication period, Tmax1 is a maximum period without input data during the auto negotiation period, and Tmax2 is an input during the auto negotiation period. Maximum period with data, t1 is input break alarm release time, t2 is clock regeneration impossible alarm release time, t3 is frame synchronization impossible detection alarm release time, t4 is error detection alarm release time, t5 is input break detection time, t6 is Clock regeneration impossibility detection time, t7 indicates frame synchronization impossibility detection time, t8 indicates error detection time, t11 indicates detection protection time, and t12 to t14 indicate release protection time. In this case, the relationship of t11> Tmax1, t12 to t14> Tmax2 is set.
[0041]
Initially, an immediate input interruption detection signal (b), an input interruption detection signal (c), an immediate clock regeneration impossible detection signal (d), a clock regeneration impossible detection signal (e), and an immediate frame synchronization impossible detection signal ( f), the frame synchronization disabled detection signal (g), and the error detection signals (h), (i) are all “1” (high level) indicating an alarm state. Is in a state where the invalid data “FF00” from the alarm
[0042]
The auto-negotiation period Ta is entered, and the input disconnection detection signal (b) and the input disconnection detection signal (c) become “0” (low level) by the input signal (DATA) after the input disconnection detection alarm release time t1. . When the
[0043]
The protection time t11 is longer than the no-input maximum period Tmax1 in the auto negotiation period Ta. As a result, the input break detection signal (c) continues to be “0” during the auto negotiation period Ta. The protection times t12 to t14 are longer than the maximum period Tmax2 with input. Thereby, in the auto negotiation period Ta, the clock regeneration impossible detection signal (e), the frame synchronization impossible detection signal (g), and the error detection signal (i) continue to be “1”.

In this state, the OPT input disconnection ALM = N, CLK unreproducible ALM = A, frame synchronization LOSS ALM = A, and ERR ALM = A in FIG. State. That is, the

When the auto negotiation period Ta ends and the normal communication period Tb is reached, after the protection time t12 to t14, the clock regeneration impossible detection signal (e), the frame synchronization impossible detection signal (g), and the error detection signal (i) And become “0”. In this state, the OPT input disconnection ALM = N, CLK unreproducible ALM = N, frame synchronization LOSS ALM = N, and ERR ALM = N in FIG. Switch to state. That is, the
[0046]
When the normal communication period Tb is followed by the input interruption period Tc due to the input interruption, the clock regeneration impossible detection signal (e), the frame synchronization impossible detection signal (g), and the error detection signal (i) are respectively detected by detection times t2 to t2. It becomes “1” after t4. At this time, the input disconnection detection signal (c) is in a state of “0” until the protection time t11 elapses, so that the state is other than OPT input disconnection ALM = A in FIG. Switch to state. Then, after the protection time t11 elapses, the input disconnection detection signal (c) becomes “1”, so that the state of OPT input disconnection ALM = A in FIG. 3A is set, and invalid data “FF00” is transmitted. Switch. When there is an input signal again, the operation state is switched to the 2R function according to the above-described operation.

Accordingly, when setting is made so that the switching to the operation of the 3R function can be performed, for example, in the auto negotiation period Ta between routers, the

When the 2R function is set to operate, the operation shown in FIG. 5 is performed. In the figure, (a) is an input signal (DATA), (b) is an immediate input disconnection detection signal, (c) is an immediate clock regeneration impossible detection signal, (d) is an immediate frame synchronization impossible detection signal, (e) ) Indicates an error detection signal, (f) indicates an operating state, and t1 to t8 indicate release times and detection times similar to t1 to t8 in FIG. Tb and Td are normal communication periods, and Tc is an input signal interruption period. In this case, the protection times t11 to t14 are not set.

Before the normal communication period Tb, by detecting the input signal (DATA) in the invalid data “FF00” transmission state, the immediate input disconnection detection signal (b) becomes “0” after the release time t1. Further, by recovering the clock from the input signal (DATA) and performing frame synchronization pull-in, the immediate clock recovery impossible detection signal (c) becomes “0” after the release time t2. The immediate frame synchronization impossible detection signal (d) becomes “0” after the release time t3. The error detection signal (e) becomes “0” after the release time t4. In this case, as shown in FIG. 3B, since the operation state of the 2R function is set except for the OPT input disconnection ALM (input disconnection detection signal) = A (“1”), Switch to the 2R operation state of j). That is, the
[0050]
When the input signal (a) is cut off and the input signal cut-off period Tc is entered from the normal communication period Ta, the immediate input cut-off detection signal (b) is “1” after the release time t5, and the immediate clock after the release time t6. The reproduction impossible detection signal (c) is “1”, the immediate frame synchronization impossible detection signal (d) is “1” after the release time t7, and the error detection signal (e) is “1” after the release time t8. . In this case, when the immediate input disconnection detection signal (b) becomes “1”, the OPT input disconnection ALM (input disconnection detection signal) is in the state of A (“1”) as shown in FIG. Therefore, the
