【0032】
2Na++SO4 2-+2H+→2Na++SO4 2-+2H+
【0033】
【0048】
Na2CO3+H2O→NaHCO3+Na++OH-
【0049】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method for producing electrolytic ionic water and an apparatus therefor, and more particularly to a method for producing electrolytic ionic water that produces little acidic water and an apparatus therefor.
[0002]
[Prior art]
One of the electrolytic ionic water generators is an alkaline ionic water generator. This alkaline ionized water generator is used not only for drinking but also for various purposes such as washing. The alkaline ionized water generator branches and supplies raw water such as tap water to an anode chamber and a cathode chamber, and performs electrolysis.
[0003]
And acidic water is produced | generated in an anode chamber, and alkali ion water is produced | generated by a secondary in a cathode chamber. Generally, in order to efficiently produce alkaline ionized water, the amount of acid water produced is set to be about 1/2 to 1/5 of the produced amount of alkaline ionized water (pH 8 to 13). Has been.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, in the conventional alkaline ionized water generator, the generated acidic water has an astringent effect and can be used effectively, but in most cases, it is discharged as waste water.
[0005]
For this reason, reducing the drainage of acidic water has become one of the problems of alkaline ion water generators.
This invention is made | formed in view of such a conventional subject, and it aims at providing the production | generation method and apparatus for the electrolytic ionic water with little production | generation of acidic water.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
Therefore, the present invention (Claim 1) is a method for producing electrolytic ionic water, comprising a cathode chamber having a cathode, an anode chamber having an anode, and a cation exchange membrane for partitioning the anode chamber and the cathode chamber. The electrolytic ion water generating apparatus comprising the above is characterized in that a salt having a buffering action is added to the anode chamber to electrolyze raw water.
[0007]
If a salt having a buffering action is used as the salt to be added, the generated H + ions react and it is difficult to exist as ions.
In particular, when a cation exchange membrane is used as the diaphragm, the movement of H + ions to the cathode tends to be limited. For this reason, the pH of the cathode water is not affected.
[0008]
The present invention (invention 2) is characterized in that the salt is an alkali carbonate.
[0009]
As salts having a buffering action, carbonates are preferable, and alkali carbonates are particularly preferable.
[0010]
Furthermore, the present invention (Claim 3) is characterized in that sodium carbonate or potassium carbonate is supplied as an aqueous solution as the salt.
[0011]
When sodium carbonate is used as the salt, the generated H + reacts with carbonate ions to become hydrogen carbonate ions, which are anions. The cation exchange membrane is impermeable to anions. Therefore, anions do not move to the cathode chamber side, and the pH of the cathode water is not affected. Further, even when H + ions are generated, carbonate ions are released into the air as carbon dioxide. For this reason, the pH of the cathode water is not affected. Accordingly, sodium carbonate has higher solubility and can be used at a higher concentration than other salts having a buffering action. In addition, sodium carbonate has advantages such as easy availability.
On the other hand, when potassium carbonate is used as the salt, the fluctuation in solubility due to water temperature is small, so it is necessary to control the operating conditions so that potassium carbonate does not precipitate as crystals even when the concentration of electrolyzed water in the production process is high. There is no. Therefore, there is an advantage that operation can be performed without such control.
[0012]
Further, the present invention (Claim 4) is an electrolytic ionic water generating apparatus comprising a cathode chamber having a cathode, an anode chamber having an anode, and a diaphragm partitioning the anode chamber and the cathode chamber, wherein the diaphragm is It is a cation exchange membrane, and has a storage tank for storing an aqueous salt solution having a buffering action, and means for supplying the aqueous salt solution to the anode chamber.
[0013]
Furthermore, the present invention (Claim 5) has means for returning the acidic water discharged from the anode chamber to a storage tank storing a salt solution having a buffering action.
[0014]
As a result of being able to reduce the flow rate of acidic water, it can be configured as a salt circulation type.
[0015]
Further, the present invention (Claim 6) is an electrolytic ionic water generating apparatus comprising a cathode chamber having a cathode, an anode chamber having an anode, and a diaphragm partitioning the anode chamber and the cathode chamber, wherein the diaphragm is The cation exchange membrane is characterized in that salts having a buffering action are stored in the anode chamber, and no means for supplying the salts having a buffering action from the outside to the anode chamber is provided.
[0016]
As a result of being able to reduce the flow rate of acidic water, it can be configured as a salt storage type.
[0017]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described. The block diagram of the alkaline ionized

[0020]
Next, the operation of the first embodiment of the present invention will be described.
In FIG. 1, when the flow rate of the acidic water in the alkaline ionized water generator is reduced, the pH of the alkaline ionized water is difficult to increase.
[0021]
The mechanism for increasing the pH of the alkaline ionized water is as follows.
(1) When a direct current is applied to the electrolytic cell 1, H + is generated in the anode plate 9 and OH − is generated in the same amount in the
( 2 ) Due to ( 1 ), only cations (H + ) increase near the anode plate 9 and only anions (OH − ) increase near the
(3) In order to achieve an electrical balance (neutral), cations and anions must be equivalent. For this reason, anions move in the vicinity of the anode plate 9 and cations move in the vicinity of the
(4) At this time, if the total amount of H + as a cation and OH − as an anion migrates, the generated H + or OH − is neutralized, and pH neutrality is also present in the vicinity of each electrode. Kept. In practice, cations (Na + , Ca 2+ , Mg 2+, etc.) or anions (Cl − , SO 4 2− , HCO 3 −, etc.) contained in the raw water move preferentially. For this reason, H + and OH − remain in the vicinity of the electrode plate, the pH of the anode water is lowered, and the pH of the cathode water is raised.
[0022]
Therefore, when the absolute amount of cations such as Na + , Ca 2+ and Mg 2+ contained in the anolyte is insufficient and the movement of H + ions generated at the anode to the
[0023]
In other words, the pH of the generated alkaline ionized water is influenced by the decrease in the raw water flow rate rather than the raw water anode flow rate itself, such as Na + , Ca 2+ , Mg 2+, and other cations. This is considered to be a decrease in the absolute amount.
[0024]
As a method for solving this problem, salts are added to the anode chamber 5 in the present invention.
If add salts to the anode chamber 5, Na + contained in the salts, since the cations Ca 2+ and the like are moved to the
[0025]
For this reason, the flow rate of acidic water can be extremely reduced, and the pH of the alkaline ionized water can be maintained ultimately as a circulation type as in this embodiment or a storage type as described later. However, from this point of view, it is a matter of course that a salt water flow type that can flow a predetermined amount of acidic water can be used. The salt flowing water type will be described later.

Furthermore, considering these strengths, handling, etc., it is desirable that the cation exchange membrane be further laminated with a reinforcing material. As the reinforcing material, it is desirable to use a woven or non-woven fabric made of a synthetic resin such as polyethylene (PE), polystyrene (PS), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene terephthalate (PET). The ion exchange resin, the oxidation resistant membrane, and the reinforcing material are not limited to the above, and other materials can be used.
[0030]
The thickness of the reinforcing material is preferably in the range of 20 to 200 μm, the thickness of the oxidation resistant membrane is preferably in the range of 10 to 100 μm, and the thickness of the cation exchange membrane is preferably in the range of 2 to 15 μm. .
Thus, by using the
[0031]
Next, the case where a salt having no buffering action is used as the salt will be described. When such a salt having no buffering action is used, the generated hydrogen ions remain in the anolyte as they are.
Taking sodium sulfate as an example, the reaction in the anode chamber 5 is as shown in chemical formula 1
[Chemical 1]
2Na + + SO 4 2− + 2H + → 2Na + + SO 4 2− + 2H +
[0033]
Since most of the sulfuric acid is dissociated, it remains as hydrogen ions in the liquid.
For this reason, the concentration gradually increases as it circulates, which moves to the
On the other hand, if salts having a buffering action such as acetate are used as the salts to be added, the generated H + ions react and it is difficult to exist as ions.
[0034]
In particular, in the present invention, since the
[0035]
[Chemical 2]
CH 3 COONa + H + → CH 3 COOH + Na +
[0036]
As shown in this reaction formula, the generated H + reacts with acetate ions to become acetic acid. Since acetic acid is not a cation, it cannot pass through the
Further, the reaction formula when sodium carbonate is used as the salt is as shown in
[0037]
[Chemical 3]
CO 3 2- + H + → HCO 3 -
[0038]
As shown in this reaction formula, the generated H + reacts with carbonate ions to become hydrogen carbonate ions, which are anions. The
Even when H + ions are generated,
[0039]
[Formula 4]
HCO 3 − + H + → H 2 O + CO 2 ↑
Carbonate ions are released into the gas phase as carbon dioxide. For this reason, the pH of the cathode water is not affected.
[0040]
Sodium carbonate has higher solubility than other salts having a buffering action, and can be used at a high concentration. For this reason, there exists an advantage that circulating capacity (or storage capacity) can be reduced. In addition, sodium carbonate has advantages such as easy availability.
[0041]
In addition, as the salts having a buffering action, potassium carbonate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, potassium hydrogen carbonate, sodium phosphate or potassium salt, sodium acetate, potassium acetate, calcium lactate, calcium glycerophosphate and the like are preferably used.
[0042]
Of these, carbonates are preferred as salts having a buffering action, and alkali carbonates are particularly preferred. However, since the solubility of sodium carbonate varies relatively depending on the water temperature, it is necessary to control the operating conditions so that sodium carbonate does not precipitate as crystals, depending on the temperature used and the concentration of the electrolyzed water generation process. On the other hand, since potassium carbonate has a small variation in solubility due to water temperature, even when the concentration of electrolyzed water in the production process is high, when potassium carbonate is used as the salt, it can be operated without performing the above control. There are advantages.
[0043]
In the present invention, the salts are preferably supplied as an aqueous solution. The concentration of the salt in this aqueous solution is preferably 1 to 10% by mass, although it depends on the type of the salt.
[0044]
【Example】
As shown in Table 1, four examples were carried out according to whether or not salts had a buffering action and whether or not a cation exchange membrane was used as a diaphragm. Example 2 is an example, and examples 1, 3 and 4 are comparative examples.
[0045]
[Table 1]
[0046]
From the above results, the ranking of the cathode water (alkali ion water) in the descending order of pH is as follows: (1) Example 2 (2) Example 4 (3) Example 1 (4) Example 3. That is, the pH of the cathode water is most easily expressed when sodium carbonate having a buffering action is used as a salt and a cation exchange membrane is applied as a membrane.
[0047]
Example 1 is a case where a cation exchange membrane was applied as a membrane in the same manner as in Example 2, but the expression pH was lower than in Example 4.
The reason is considered as follows.
The sodium carbonate of the anolyte (salt concentration 10 g / L) has a pH of 11.5. This sodium carbonate is hydrolyzed by the following reaction and becomes alkaline.
[0048]
[Chemical formula 5]
Na 2 CO 3 + H 2 O → NaHCO 3 + Na + + OH −
[0049]
The reason why the pH of the cathode water before electrolysis in Example 4 is slightly higher is presumed to be due to a slight diffusion of sodium carbonate from the film.
In addition, the pH of the cathode water after electrolysis in Example 4 is higher than that in Example 3 (system using sodium sulfate) because the sodium carbonate in the anode chamber 5 moved to the
[0050]
If the electrolysis is continued as it is, it is expected that the salt concentration in the anode chamber 5 is lowered at an early stage, and the pH of the

The volume of the
[0059]
Volume of anode chamber (L) = electrolytic current (A) × 360 (second / hour) × anolyte exchange frequency (hour) × (cation mobility / 96500) × electric equivalent of anolyte cation (equivalent / L) × Cation utilization rate during anolyte exchange [0060]
However, the cation transfer rate is an electric equivalent ratio of all cations moved from the anode to the cathode and a cation electric equivalent ratio of the added salt transferred from the anode to the cathode, as in the following formula.
[0061]
Cation transfer rate = electrical equivalent of cations moving from anode to cathode / electrical equivalents of all cations transferred from anode to cathode
Moreover, the cation utilization rate at the time of anolyte exchange is an electrical equivalent ratio between the cation concentration of the anolyte-added salt before use and the cation concentration at the time of anolyte exchange, as in the following equation.
[0063]
Cation utilization rate during anolyte exchange = electric equivalent of cation of added salt at anolyte exchange / electric equivalent of cation of added salt at start of electrolysis
Here, for example, 60 g / L of Na 2 CO 3 is used and electrolysis is performed with an electrolysis current of 10 A. When the cation utilization rate during anolyte exchange is 0.8 and the anolyte exchange frequency is 100 hours, the volume of the

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, since the cation exchange membrane is disposed between the anode chamber and the cathode chamber, reactants and anions generated in the anode chamber cannot move to the cathode chamber. For this reason, the pH of alkaline ionized water can be maintained high.
[0066]
Further, since the arrangement to add salts to the anode compartment, cations contained in the salts are moved to the cathode chamber, instead of the H + ion, it can be restricted from moving in the cathode chamber of the H + ions. For this reason, the flow volume of acidic water can be reduced extremely.
