Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a hose joint for connecting a hose to another member.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, the use of flexible hoses for some of the water pipes in the home such as toilets, kitchens, wash-basins, bathrooms, etc. eliminates the need for precise length adjustment and centering work of pipe materials, and overall construction work. Attempts have been made to facilitate sex.
However, since the flexible hose is flexible, twisting is likely to occur during the process of tightening the connecting screws at both ends of the hose. Such a twist not only impairs the performance of the flexible hose, but also the hose has an unexpected line shape, and it is difficult to ensure aesthetics, especially in piping where it is normally touched. Problems also arise.
[0003]
In order to avoid the twisting of the flexible hose, the screw once tightened is loosened again, and the hose is twisted in advance in the opposite direction to the expected twisting, and the tightening work is performed. Adjustment work is required. In order to eliminate this problem, a means for interposing a universal joint in the connection portion or providing a universal mechanism in the hose joint may be provided. For this purpose, there is a problem that the member must be prepared in advance and the cost is increased for this purpose.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In view of the above facts, the present invention has an object of enabling free rotation of the hose connecting portion without using a preinstalled universal mechanism or a separately prepared universal joint.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The invention described in claim 1 is composed of a female body, a nipple, a cap nut screw, and an O-ring. An O-ring groove is formed on the outer periphery of the tip of the nipple inserted into the female body, and the O-ring is fitted into this. A hose joint for connecting the female body and the nipple to each other with a cap nut screw, wherein the cap nut screw 3 is connected to the outer peripheral side screw of the female body 1. The cap nut screw 3 is finally tightened by screwing it into 1c and bringing the ridge 3c provided at the rear end 3a of the cap nut screw 3 into contact with the end surface 1d of the female body 1 in the final tightened state. When the rear end 3a of the cap nut screw 3 is engaged with the flange 2a on the outer periphery of the nipple 2, the nipple 2 disposed between the end surface 1d of the female body 1 and the rear end 3a of the cap nut screw 3 is The flange 2a is in the axial direction with the end surface 1d of the female body 1. Keep a proper distance c without contact, it is characterized in that.
[0006]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the hose joint according to the first aspect, the gap c is 0.05 to 5 mm.
[0007]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The hose joint of the present invention has the above-described structure, and has an O-ring groove and an O-ring fitted in the outer peripheral surface of the nipple end, and the O-ring portion is provided in the female body. It is inserted to a predetermined position to ensure water tightness between the nipple outer peripheral surface and the female body.
[0008]
Then, the flange formed on the outer periphery of the nipple is supported by the engaging portion of the cap nut screw so that the nipple does not return from the inserted position, and the cap nut screw is engraved on the outer periphery of the female body. The male screw is tightened with sufficient torque to prevent loosening due to water hammer vibration or the like.
[0009]
And it is provided with means for accurately determining the axial relative position between the female body and the nipple at the time of final tightening of the cap nut screw, and as a specific form of the means, on the inner peripheral surface of the cap nut Positioning is performed with the provided protrusions or ridges, and by adopting such a configuration, a certain gap is maintained between the female body end surface and the front surface of the flange on the outer periphery of the nipple. The structure is 0.05 to 5 mm, preferably 0.2 to 2 mm.
[0010]
More specifically, the flange formed on the outer periphery of the nipple is set slightly smaller than the distance between the end face of the female body and the cap nut engaging surface, and even after the cap nut screw is sufficiently tightened. A gap is held between them so that they can rotate in the circumferential direction.
[0011]
The hose joint according to the present invention has the above-described configuration. Even after the cap nut screw is sufficiently tightened, the nipple (the end of the hose) can freely rotate with respect to the female body, For this reason, no twist is added to the hose. And it has the characteristic that the special member for enabling rotation is not required.
[0012]
【Example】
Before describing the embodiments, the hose joint according to the comparative example will be described in detail with reference to the drawings .
FIG. 1 is a half sectional view showing a comparative example. The hose joint of the comparative example is formed of a female body 1, a nipple 2, a cap nut screw 3, and an O-ring 4. That is, the female body 1 is a side to which a hose is attached, and includes a protrusion 1a on the outer periphery and an inner tube portion 1b. A flange 2a is formed on the outer periphery of the nipple 2, and an O-ring groove 2b is formed on the tip side from the flange 2a. A flexible hose 6 is attached to the rear end of the nipple 2 and is fixed by caulking the sleeve 5. In this figure, the flexible hose 6 has a water-resistant synthetic rubber inner tube 6a on its inner surface, a stainless wire 6b braided on its outer periphery as a reinforcing material, and a vinyl chloride jacket 6c on its outer periphery. .
[0013]
The cap nut screw 3 includes a rear end 3a of the flange 2a of the nipple 2 and is screwed to and connected to the outer peripheral side male screw 1c of the female body 1. The flange 2a formed on the outer periphery of the nipple 2 is set slightly smaller than the distance between the end surface 1d of the female body 1 and the engagement surface 3b of the cap nut screw 3 when the cap nut screw 3 is in the final tightened state. Even after the cap nut screw 3 is sufficiently tightened, the gap c is held between the two so that it can rotate in the circumferential direction.
[0014]
Next, the hose connection method of the comparative example will be described.
The tip of the nipple 2 is inserted into the inner tube portion 1 b of the female body 1 and is pushed in until the cap nut screw 3 is engaged with the male screw 1 c of the female body 1. Then, while turning the cap nut 3, the cap nut 3 is sufficiently tightened until the left end surface of the cap nut 3 comes into contact with the outer peripheral protrusion 1 a of the female body 1. In this way, watertightness is maintained between the nipple 2 and the female body 1 by the O-ring 4.
[0015]
At this time, the end face 1d of the front end of the female body 1 and the opposite surface of the flange 2a of the nipple 2 have a constant distance c. Thus, even if the flexible hose 1 is twisted, this rotation directly eliminates this. If the gap c is too small, the case where the female body 1 and the side surface of the flange 2a of the nipple 2 are in direct contact with each other increases, and the rotation of the nipple is hindered. On the other hand, if the gap c is too large, the axial play at the hose end is increased. A preferable range of the gap c is 0.1 to 5 mm, and more preferably 0.2 to 2 mm.
[0016]
Next, the hose joint according to the present invention will be described.
FIG. 2 is a half sectional view showing an example of the present invention . The hose joint of the present invention sufficiently tightens the cap nut screw 3 as in the previous example, but the cap nut screw 3 has a protrusion 3c formed on the end face 1d of the tip of the female body, and abuts both. The cap nut screw 3 is screwed in until the gap is capped, thereby ensuring the clearance c. In this example, a gap c is formed between the end face 1d of the tip of the female body and the flange 2a of the nipple 2.
[0017]
【The invention's effect】
In the hose joint according to the present invention, the hose end portion can rotate freely with respect to the female body even after the cap nut is sufficiently tightened, so that the hose is not twisted, and there is a concern that the function may be lowered. The hose line is also stable without twisting.
In addition, since the piping work can be performed without worrying about twisting as described above, there is an advantage that the work efficiency can be improved and the construction can be performed even by a piping engineer who has received special training. In addition, the hose joint of the present invention does not require a special member for allowing the connecting portion to freely rotate and is economically superior.
