Description
上記で識別したラチェット式首部閉止部及びトリガアセンブリを含むスプレーボトルを組み立て、本発明で用いるための適性を判定するために、噴霧可能な液体を充填した。この首部閉止部は、開けるのが非常に困難であり、かなりの力を用いて繰り返し試みた後でやっと開くことがわかった。トリガ式スプレーを作動させると、1回の作動毎に約0.65mlのみを放出することがわかり、所望の体積範囲内であると見なされる量であった。
ビトレックス(TM)の効果を判定する試験を行い、50ppm(0.005%)のレベルでビトレックス(TM)を含む組成物は、10人中9人にとって非常に不味いものであり、一方、忌避剤を含まない同じ組成物は許容可能であることがわかった。
Claims (14)
- 石油留出物系家庭用製品を放出する方法であって、ずり流動化揺変性増粘剤を添加することを含む改良がなされた前記製品を、容量低減型噴霧機構及び容易に取り外せない首部閉止部を有する容器から放出することを含み、前記製品中の石油留出物が、鉱油類、ミネラルスピリット類、ナフテン油類、シリコーン油類、イソパラフィン炭化水素溶剤類、灯油及びこれらの混合物から成る群から選択され、また、前記増粘剤を添加した後の前記製品の粘度が華氏100度において100SUSを超え、前記増粘剤を含有する前記製品は前記噴霧機構を通過する際にスプレーを形成する方法。
- 前記容量低減型噴霧機構が、1回の作動毎に0.8ml未満の液体を放出する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記増粘剤が、トリブロックコポリマー及び炭化水素油を含む混合物と、N−ラウロイルグルタミン酸ジ−n−ブチルアミドとから成る群から選択されると共に、前記製品の0.2〜9重量%を構成する、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記増粘剤が、2パーセント〜30パーセントのトリブロックコポリマーと70パーセント〜98パーセントの炭化水素油とを含む、請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記製品が家具用オイルを含む、請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記家具用オイルが鉱油及びシリコーン油を含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記改良が、前記製品に忌避剤を添加することを更に含む、請求項1から請求項6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記忌避剤が、安息香酸デナトニウム、デナトニウムサッカリド、塩化デナトニウム、安息香酸スクロース、キニーネ、塩酸キニーネ、硫酸キニーネ、ブルシン、硫酸ブルシン、カッシア、カシン、ナリンギン、リモニン、フェニルチオカルバミド、ケブラコ、スクロースオクタアセテート、ケルセチン、ベルベリン及びそれらの組み合わせから成る群から選択される、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記忌避剤が、0.0010〜0.050重量パーセントの量で存在する、請求項7又は請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記忌避剤が安息香酸デナトニウムである、請求項8又は請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記安息香酸デナトニウムが0.0025〜0.010重量パーセントの量で存在する、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記石油留出物系家庭用製品が、10重量パーセントを超える前記石油留出物を含む、請求項1から請求項11に記載の方法。
- ずり流動化揺変性増粘剤を添加することを含む改良がなされた石油留出物系家庭用製品であって、前記製品中の石油留出物が、鉱油類、ミネラルスピリット類、ナフテン油類、シリコーン油類、イソパラフィン炭化水素溶剤類、灯油及びこれらの混合物から成る群から選択され、前記製品は、容量低減型噴霧機構及び容易に取り外せない首部閉止部を有する容器から放出され、また、前記増粘剤を添加した後の前記製品の粘度が華氏100度において100SUSを超え、前記増粘剤を含有する前記製品が前記噴霧機構を通過する際にスプレーを形成する前記石油留出物系家庭用製品。
- 前記石油留出物系家庭用製品が、10重量パーセントを超える前記石油留出物を含む、請求項13に記載の石油留出物系家庭用製品。
