【発明が解決しょうとする課題】
脱水ケーキの送り出し口となる、筒状濾過体の終端開口部と、円錐形圧力調整弁との対向面間の環状間隙は、分離対象とされる汚泥の性状によって、また、脱水ケーキの排出量や含水率を増減させるためにも、適正値に微調整されていなければならない。そしてこの微調整は、円錐形圧力調整弁の装着位置を前後方向へ変位させることにより行われている。

【問題を解決するための手段】
本発明に係る請求項1記載のスクリュー式濾過脱水装置では、多数枚の環状濾過プレートを互に細隙を隔てて積層状に配列させ上記細隙を濾水流出溝とする筒状の濾過体に形成し、該濾過体の始端開口部を汚泥の送り込み口として中心孔にスクリューコンベアを嵌装し、濾過体の終端開口部より筒状ケーシングを導出し、該筒状ケーシングと対向して汚泥の送り込み口側端面を開口し他方端面を閉止する筒状圧力調整弁をスクリュー軸に装着し、該筒状圧力調整弁を前記筒状ケーシングの内周面または外周面において前後方向へ摺動自在に嵌合させ、筒状圧力調整弁または筒状ケーシングの筒壁に切欠状または孔状の透し部を設けて濾過体内から外方へ通じる脱水ケーキの送り出し口となし、筒状圧力調整弁の嵌合状態を前後方向に調整することにより前記送り出し口の有効開口面積が増減されるよう構成した。また、請求項2記載の発明では、請求項1記載のスクリュー式濾過脱水装置を前提として、筒状圧力調整弁または筒状ケーシングの筒壁に設けられた切欠状または孔状の透し部が、軸方向に長く且つその始端部から終端部へ亘り横幅がほぼ一定に保たれるよう形成されている。

以下の図1ないし図5の実施例により説明をする。

1は筒状の濾過体であり、多数枚の環状濾過プレートを所要の細隙を保持して積層状に配列させ、各環状濾過プレート間の細隙を濾水流出溝2・・2とする。濾過体1の始端開口部は汚泥の送り込み口3として中心孔4にスクリューコンベア5が嵌装される。6は濾過体1の終端開口部より導出された筒状ケーシング、7は該筒状ケーシング6と対向してスクリュー軸5Sに装着された汚泥の送り込み口3側端面が開口され他方端面が閉止形成される筒状圧力調整弁である。そして例えば該筒状圧力調整弁7を前記筒状ケーシング6の内周面において前後方向へ摺動自在に嵌合させ、筒状圧力調整弁7の筒壁に切欠状または孔状の透し部9を設けて濾過体1内から外方へ通じる脱水ケーキの送り出し口8となし、また別の実施態様として、筒状圧力調整弁7を前記筒状ケーシング6の外周面において前後方向へ摺動自在に嵌合させ、筒状ケーシング6の筒壁に切欠状または孔状の透し部(図示せず)を設けて濾過体1内から外方へ通じる脱水ケーキの送り出し口8とする。11は筒状圧力調整弁7を所定の設定位置で定着させるためのセットボルト、12はスクリューコンベア5を駆動させるための原動機である。

原動機12を駆動させるとスクリューコンベア5が回転し,送り込み口3から濾過体1内へ送り込まれた汚泥が、スクリューブレード5Bに沿って旋回しながら軸方向へ前進する過程において、濾過された濾水は濾水流出溝2・・2より流出すると共に脱水ケ−キは前方の送り出し口8から順次排出されるのであるが、その排出量および脱水ケーキの含水率は、送り出し口8の有効開口面積によって規制される。そして送り出し口8の有効開口面積は、透し部9の引き出し長さによって変化するが、透し部9の引き出し長さは筒状圧力調整弁7の前後方向への移動量に比例して増減する。従って、透し部9の始端部から終端部へ亘り横幅が一定に保たれるよう形成しておくことにより、筒状圧力調整弁7の前後方向への移動に伴い送り出し口8の有効開口面積は算術級数的に変化することになって微調整が容易に行われる。また、透し部9を軸方向へ長く形成しておくことによって送り出し口8の有効開口面積の増減調整幅を大きく取ることができる。更にまた、スクリュー軸5Sと共に筒状圧力調整弁7が回転することにより、汚泥中に混じっている小粒状の夾雑物は透し部9の側縁に沿って掻き出されるため詰りを生じることがない。

【発明の効果】
本発明スクリュー式濾過脱水装置によれば、分離対象とされる汚泥の性状に対応させ、また、脱水ケーキの排出量を適量に増減させると共にその含水率を適正値に保持させるための微調整が、筒状圧力調整弁の簡単な操作によって確実且つ迅速に行われ、また、その調整幅を大きく取ることもできるという利点がある。更にまた、小粒状の夾雑物による詰りを防止し得るという副次的効果をも生じる。
