【発明の属する技術的分野】
本発明はのこ刃の刃先の視認性を向上させる携帯用丸のこに関するものである。

【従来の技術】
携帯用丸のこの切断作業には、図5のように被切断材15の側面にガイド16を当接させた状態で切断する方法や、図6のように被切断材15上に墨線17を引き、墨線17上を切断する方法等がある。前者の場合には、被切断材15の切断する位置にのこ刃4の刃先4aを合わせてから、ガイド16を調整し被切断材15の側面に当接させ切断を行う、後者の場合には、刃先4aを墨線17に合わせながら切断を行うものであった。

以上のように、切断作業時には必ずのこ刃4の刃先4aの位置を認識していなければ正確な切断を行うことができないものであり、刃先の視認性が良いことが重要であった。実開昭60−98602号にはのこ刃を覆う保護カバーに照明装置を設けることで刃先の視認性向上を図った丸のこが記載されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上記した実開昭60−98602号に記載された丸のこは、保護カバーの刃先部近傍に照明装置を設けると共に保護カバーに透明窓を設けた構成をし、のこ刃の刃先を照らすことで暗い所でも刃先を確認しやすくするようにしたものであるが、切断時には保護カバー内部を切粉が飛散すると共に透明窓内壁に切粉が付着するため照明の妨げとなり結果的に刃先を確認しにくいという欠点があった。また、保護カバーに照明装置を設けているため、電動機の駆動源である蓄電池を電源とする場合、蓄電池が収納されているハウジングへの配線が必要となり、組立性が著しく悪いと共に配線を覆うカバー等も必要となり高価な構造となってしまう。
本発明の目的は、上記した欠点を解消し、刃先の視認性及び組立性の向上を図ることができる携帯用丸のこを提供することである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の目的を達成するために本発明は、電動機を内蔵したハウジングと、電動機により駆動され被切断材を切断するのこ刃と、のこ刃を覆う保護カバーと、電動機のオン・オフを制御する駆動スイッチと、ハウジングと連結され、被切断材上を摺動可能なベースとを備えた携帯用丸のこであって、のこ刃側面に対して直角方向に離間した位置に照明装置を配置し、前記のこ刃側面に対し、直角方向から光を照射して前記のこ刃の刃先を照らすと共に、照明装置と電動機の駆動源である電源とを接続、遮断するスイッチを設けたことに 一つの特徴を有する。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明携帯用丸のこの一実施例を図1、図2を用いて説明する。図1は本発明携帯用丸のこの一実施例を示す斜視図、図2は図1の要部拡大断面図である。図から明らかなように、丸のこ本体は、電動機を内蔵するハウジング1と、のこ刃4と、該のこ刃4を覆う保護カバーを有する。
ハウジング1にはベース2と連結するヒンジ部1aが丸のこ4の刃先4aよりも前方に突出して設けられている。図に示すようにヒンジ部1aには照明装置3が設けられており、照明装置3は横方向からのこ刃4の刃先4aを照らす。照明装置3は図2に示すように電線5と接続端子を有するソケット6と電球7と電球7を覆う透明カバー8とから構成されている。図に示すように照明装置3の電線5はハウジング1内に位置しており、図示しない電動機の駆動源である蓄電池と接続されている。

切断時に発生する切粉はのこ刃4の切削方向に飛散するため、上記したようにのこ刃4の切削方向に対して直角方向から刃先4aを照らす構成としたことにより、切粉により刃先4aが確認しにくくなることがないと共に照明装置3の透明カバー8に切粉が付着することがないので刃先4aの視認性を向上させることができる。また、照明装置3を携帯用丸のこの駆動源である蓄電池と接続する電線5をハウジング1内に位置するようにしたので、電線カバー等を用いる必要がなく安価に構成することができると共に組立性を向上させることができる。

図3、図4本発明と対比される携帯用丸のこの構成例を示す。図に示す携帯用丸のこは照明装置3の構成を工夫したものであり、照明装置3及びハウジング1のヒンジ部1a以外の構成は上記実施例と同一であるので説明を省略する。
図に示すようにハウジング1のヒンジ部1aには曲管9が設けられており、曲管9の端部には照明装置3が取付けられている。
図1で示した実施例では切込み深さを変えた時にはヒンジ部1aが刃先4aから離れてしまうといった欠点があったが、上記したように照明装置3を移動可能な構成とすることによりこの欠点を解消することができる。

なお、照明装置3と駆動源である蓄電池とを接続、遮断するスイッチ、すなわち照明装置3のオン、オフをするスイッチヒンジ部1aに設けた場合は、外部から操作可能とすることができる。また、駆動スイッチ10のオフロック機構、つまり駆動スイッチ10をオフ状態にロックする機構であるセーフティレバー11を、図1に示すように丸のこ本体の把持部に設け、セーフティーレバー11が動作すると(駆動スイッチ10をオフにロックしたり、ロックを解除する動作)、その動作に応じて照明装置3と蓄電池とを接続、遮断するスイッチを設けることが考えられる。この場合には、切断作業を開始する前に確実に照明装置3がオンになるので操作性が向上する。

更に、セーフティーレバー11が動作すると、その動作に連動して開閉するスイッチを設けると共に、本体1に外部から操作可能なスイッチを設けた構成とすると、操作性を向上させることができると共に必要な際にだけ照明装置3をオンさせることができるようになる。
なお、上記したセーフティーレバー11は、駆動スイッチ10がオンしたならば負荷を与えなくともオンし続け、駆動スイッチ10がオフしたならば連動してオフする構成であることが望ましい。

【発明の効果】
上記したように本発明によれば、ハウジングにのこ刃の刃先をのこ刃の切断方向に対して直角方向から照らすことが可能な照明装置を設けると共に照明装置と電動機の駆動源とを接続、遮断するスイッチを設けた構成としたことにより、切断時に発生する切粉により刃先を確認しにくくなることがないと共に照明装置と電動機の駆動源とを接続する電線をハウジング内に位置させることができるので、刃先の視認性及び組立性の向上を図ることができる携帯用丸のこを提供することができる。
