本発明は、メスコネクターに接続して使用されるオスコネクターに関するものである。

本発明は、このようなコネクターであって、特にカテーテル、輸液セット、輸血セット、人工肺回路、透析回路等に組み込まれて使用される自動開閉弁付コネクターに関する。

【従来の技術】
従来、医療現場において、輸液セットや輸血セット等の先端部に設置されたオスコネクターに、注射針や延長チューブ等の基端部に設置されたメスコネクターを接続することにより、薬剤等を注入したり吸引したりする操作が行われている。こうした操作を行う場合は、接続前にオスコネクターから薬剤等が流出したり、空気が流入しないよう細心の注意を払う必要がある。この注意が不充分な場合には、薬剤等が不足したり、空気中の細菌によって汚染される可能性があった。

また、輸液セットや輸血セット等のオスコネクターを通して、薬剤等の投与を行う場合、輸液セットや輸血セット等に薬剤等を満たした後、一時保管しておき、要事に投与する場合が多い。

このような場合、空気の流入を防ぐためオスコネクターにリキャップをしなければならない。さらに、輸液セットや輸血セット等においては、クランプの閉め忘れや緩みによりオスコネクターの先端から薬剤等が流出してしまう可能性があった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明の課題は、薬剤等の注入や吸引操作に際し、各々の医療用具に設けられたオスコネクターとメスコネクターを接続する必要があるとき、オスコネクターからの薬剤等の流出と空気の流入を防止する自動開閉弁付コネクターの提供にある。

前述の課題は、以下により解決することができる。

(1)医療用チューブのメスコネクターに接続して用いられるオスコネクターであって、前記オスコネクターは内部に流体の流路を備えるコネクター本体と、先端部にメスコネクターの接続部と、基端部にチューブとの接続部とを有し、前記オスコネクターの先端部には通常は流路を遮断する弁体を有し、前記弁体は前記メスコネクターに嵌合したときに自動的に前記流路を開通するスリットを有するものであって、前記弁体は復元力のある弾性体からなり、前記弁体の外周は前記オスコネクター先端部の最小外周より大きく、前記メスコネクターの接続部の最大内径より小さく、かつ前記弁体の外周は複数の突起部が前記スリットの軸線上に設けられており、前記弁体の外周は前記メスコネクターに嵌合したとき前記メスコネクターの内壁に接触し、前記突起部に均等に力が加わることによって、前記スリットはその軸線と直角の方向へと開口するように変形することを特徴とする自動開閉弁付きコネクター。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明の自動開閉弁付コネクターは、針、延長チューブ、カテーテル、多方活栓等に通常用いられ、一端に針やカテーテル等のチューブが接続され、他端に接続部を有するメスコネクターに、接続可能なルアー形状を有するオスコネクターとなっている。これらのメスコネクターに本発明の自動開閉弁付コネクターを接続すると、本発明の自動開閉弁付コネクターに設けられた弁体が自動的に開放して流体通路が開通し、メスコネクターから外すと、弁体が自動的に閉鎖され、流体通路が遮断される。

以下、図面に基づいて本発明の自動開閉弁付コネクターを詳細に説明する。

図1は本発明の自動開閉弁付コネクター1の正面図である。図2は図1のA―A線の自動開閉弁付コネクター1の軸方向断面図、図3は図1のB−B線の自動開閉弁付コネクター1の軸方向断面図。

自動開閉弁付コネクター1は、メスコネクターとの接続部を有するオスコネクター本体2と、このオスコネクター本体2のメスコネクターへの接続方向先端に弁体3とから構成されている。

オスコネクター本体2の一端にはメスコネクターに接続する接続部と、他端に医療用チューブを接続する基端部が設けられている。この基端部にはメスコネクターや、輸液セット、輸血セットの医療用チューブが接続できるようになっている。

図4は、本発明の自動開閉弁付コネクター1に取り付けられる弁体3の正面図である。図4に示されるように、弁体3には流路を開閉するスリット5が設けられている。この弁体3の外周の少なくとも一部は、自動開閉弁付コネクター1をメスコネクターに嵌合させたとき、メスコネクターの内壁に接触するよう設定されている。

そして、弁体3は、外周方向に突出する突起部6を設けた構成としてもよい。この突起部6は、1ヶ所あれば機能するが、好ましくは2箇所以上を設けるのがよい。このようにすることで詳細は後述するが、スリット5の開閉が効率良くなる。

このコネクター本体2に用いられる材料は、特に限定されないが、ポリプロピレンやポリカーボネートのような比較的硬質な合成樹脂で作製されるのが好ましい。

また、弁体3の材料としては、特に限定されないが、弾性を有する材料であるのが好ましく、特に復元力のあるシリコーンゴム等のようなゴム材料がより好ましい。

次に、作用について説明する。

図5は本発明の自動開閉弁付コネクター1と、先端に針部12を有するメスコネクター11の接続前の断面図であり、図6は、図5の接続後を示したものである。

図5に示されるように、メスコネクター11の内径は、針部12方向に向かって漸減している形状となっている。

接続前の自動開閉弁付コネクター1は、弁体3のスリット5は、閉じた状態となっている。弁体の最大外径L1(図4参照)は、メスコネクター11の接続部の最大内径L2よりも若干大きめに設定されていても問題ないが、内径L2より若干小さめに設定することで接続が滑らかになる。

この状態でメスコネクター11に自動開閉弁付コネクター1を接続するため、自動開閉弁付コネクター1をメスコネクター11の接続部内に向かって押し進めていくと、メスコネクター11の最大内径L2を通過してから漸減する内径によって、弁体3の突起部6が、メスコネクター11の内壁13に接触し始める。そして、さらに自動開閉弁付コネクター1を押し進めていくと、突起部6は、内壁13が針部12の方向に向かって漸減しているため、突起部6は、オスコネクター本体2の先端外周と等しくあるいは若干小さくなるまで、押し縮められる。これにより、閉じられていたスリット5は、開口するように変形する。

さらに、突起部6が図1、図4に示されるようにスリット5の軸線上に2ヶ所以上設置されていると、それぞれの突起部6に均等に力が加わり、弁体3に設けられたスリット5は、スリット5の軸線と直角の方向へと開口するように変形し、スリット5は容易に開口される。これにより遮断されていた流路は開通される。

このように突起部6を2ヵ所以上設けることにより、前述のような弁体3の外周の少なくとも一部が、メスコネクター11の内壁13に接触するよう設定されているときよりも、スリット5の開閉の効率がよくなる。

さらに、弁体3は、軸線上に2ヶ所以上設置されている突起部6だけが、メスコネクター11の内壁13に接触するような構成であってもよい。この構成により、スリット5が、前述のように軸線と直角の方向へと開口するように変形したとき、弁体3の外周部も同様に、スリット5の軸線と直角の外周方向へと拡径するように変形したとき、この拡径変形したときのスペースを確保することができる。

また、接続を解除するために、自動開閉弁付コネクター1とメスコネクター11を引き離していくとき、開通されたスリット5は、内壁13の弁体3への押圧が消滅すると同時に、メスコネクター11内で、その復元力によって閉鎖される。

以上、述べてきたように、本発明の自動開閉弁付コネクター1によれば、メスコネクター11に接続すると、自動的に弁体3のスリット5が開放し、接続を解除すると、スリット5が自動的に閉鎖する。

(実施形態)
次に、実施形態の自動開閉弁付コネクターについて説明する。

図7は本発明の自動開閉弁付コネクターの基端部に輸液セットのチューブを接続したときの軸方向断面図である。

実施形態の自動開閉弁付コネクター21は、オスコネクター本体22にポリプロピレンを材料として作製した。弁体23には、中央部に弁体23を貫通するスリット25を設け、さらに弁体23の外周に2ヵ所の突起部26を設けた。この2ヵ所の突起部26は、スリット25の軸線上に対向するように1ヶ所づつ配置した。この弁体23は、シリコーンゴムを材料として作製し、オスコネクター本体22の先端部付近に接着固定した。こうして作製されたオスコネクター21をテルモ社製輸液セット(図示せず)の患者側先端部のチューブ27に取り付けた。

コネクター本体22のルアー部24は、ISO規格に準じて作製し、弁体は、突起部を含めた最大外周を4.0mmに設定した。弁体23のスリット25の長さは1mmに設定し、開放時は約0.6mmの直径となった。弁体23の厚みは、外周方向を1.5mm、中心部を0.7mmとした。

生理食塩液2000mlをテルモ社製IVHバッグに入れ、これをスタンドに取り付け、このオスコネクター21を取り付けた輸液セットの瓶針を輸液バッグに接続し、瓶針からオスコネクター21先端までの落差を130cmに設定した。

この状態で、オスコネクター21を23Gのテルモ社製針のメスコネクター部に接続し、80ml/hの流速で輸液セットのクレンメを調節した。このとき、弁体23は、針のメスコネクター部の内面が突起部26に力を加え、スリット25の軸線上の外周方向から押し縮められるように変形し、これにより、弁体23に設けられたスリット25は、スリット25の軸線と直角の方向へと開口するように変形し、閉じられた状態から、流体が通過できる開通状態となる。

この状態で24時間放置した。この結果、24時間後の輸液バッグの残液量は110mlであった。

次に、生理食塩液2000mlをテルモ社製IVHバッグに入れ、これをスタンドに取り付け、このオスコネクター21を取り付けた輸液セットの瓶針を輸液バッグに接続し、瓶針からオスコネクター21先端までの落差を130cmに設定した。この状態で、オスコネクター21を23Gのテルモ社製針のメスコネクター部に接続し、80ml/hの流速になるように輸液セットのクレンメを調節した後、針を取り外して、24時間放置したが、オスコネクター21先端からの液漏れは認められなかった。

このことから、通常の輸液セットと同様に流量と精度を確保することができるとともに、メスコネクターと接続しない限り、流体が弁体を通過することがない。

【発明の効果】
空気の流入による細菌等の汚染を防ぎ、輸液セット等においては、クランプの閉め忘れや緩みによりオスコネクターの先端から薬剤等の流出を防止することが、可能となった。
