【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面に基づいて説明する。
図1は、切断機としての卓上丸鋸盤に設けられた位置決め装置の平面図、図2はその側面図、図3は正面図である。1は卓上丸鋸盤のベースで、前後方向(同図の右側を前方とする)に鋸刃を備えた本体を支持するターンテーブル2を中央で水平回動可能に載置し、その左右両側には、上面がターンテーブル2の上面と同一高さとなる張り出し部3,3が延設されている。また、左右の張り出し部3,3間には、ターンテーブル2上を横切る格好でガイドフェンス4が左右方向に立設され、ガイドフェンス4の前方には、ターンテーブル2の上面と垂直なガイド面5が形成されている。

以上の如く構成された位置決め装置6においては、被切断材Wが卓上丸鋸盤の張り出し部3よりも外側へ突出する長尺材の場合、前プレート15のツマミネジ20を緩めて前プレート15をスライドフリーとした状態で、被切断材Wを、切断位置を墨線に合わせてベース1のターンテーブル2と張り出し部3及び補助ベース8の上にセットする。補助ベース8の後プレート12と卓上丸鋸盤のガイドフェンス4とは、左右方向へ同一面に位置しているから、被切断材Wをガイドフェンス4と後プレート12とを利用して後方側へ位置決めできる。次に、前プレート15を後方へスライドさせて、押圧面18を被切断材Wの前面へ当接させ、その状態でローラ23を指で後方へ押圧すれば、ローラ23が窓21を通して被切断材Wの前面に当接する。よって、そのままローラ23を図1の矢印に示すように任意の方向へ回転させれば、ローラ23の送りによって被切断材Wを左右方向へ微動させて、墨線を切断位置に合わせることができる。

なお、位置決め装置は、上記形態ではベースの左側にのみ設けているが、左右両側に設けることも可能である。また、ローラは1つに限らず、被切断材に当接可能なローラを左右方向へ2つ並設し、その2つのローラへ同時に当接する回動操作用の3つめのローラを設ける等、複数とすることもできる。勿論転動体としてはローラに限らず、ボールを利用することもできる。さらに、当接部材は、上記形態のようなプレート状に限らず、被切断材を狭持可能であれば、ローラやピン形状を採用しても良い。
そして、当接部材のスライド形態も、転動体が取付可能であれば、棒状体や筒状体を採用して差し支えないし、他方の当接部材側へ付勢する付勢手段を設けることもできる。また、本発明の位置決め装置は、卓上丸鋸盤にとどまらず、鋼材切断用の切断機にも採用可能である。
