本発明は、自動車または洗車機の移動に伴い、自動車の洗浄と洗浄後の車体の乾燥とを自動的に行う洗車機に関し、洗浄と乾燥とを同時進行で実行可能として、迅速に洗車を進めるようにしたものに関する。

【従来の技術】
従来より、この種の装置として特開昭49−110159号公報(以下、従来例1という)に記載の洗車機が知られている。すなわち、自動車を跨ぐように走行する門型フレームの前側にブラシおよび水による洗浄を行う洗浄部を、また同門型フレームの後側にブロワノズルにより乾燥を行う乾燥部を設け、洗浄部と乾燥部との間には加圧空気を噴出するエアーカーテンを形成して、洗浄と乾燥とをエアーカーテンの前後で同時進行で実行可能としたものである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで、上記従来例で使用されるようなエアーカーテンでは、乾燥部のブロワノズルからの送風の影響を受け易く、エアーカーテンの空気流が乱されて十分機能しないため、ブロワノズルから離して設置する必要があり装置の大型化が余儀なくされる問題があった。しかも、この種の洗車機のほとんどは屋外に設置されるため、ブロワノズルからの送風ばかりでなく自然風の影響を受けることになり、強風の日にはエアーカーテンが全く機能せず乾燥部へ水が飛散して乾燥性能を著しく低下させ、また洗浄部における放水やブラシの毛を変形させて洗い残しを生じる問題があった。

本出願人は、このような問題点を解消するのために、特開平11−29009号において、洗浄部と乾燥部の間に洗車機上部から自動車の上面に向けて昇降するシャッター体を設けてブロワノズルからの送風や自然風の影響を遮断し、洗浄と乾燥とを同時進行で実行しても十分な洗浄性能と乾燥性能とを発揮できる洗車機を提案している。しかしながら、ここでの構成は自動車の上方からシャッターを昇降するものであり、自動車側面に対して洗浄部と乾燥部とを遮断する能力に乏しく、サイドブラシからの飛散水がその隙間から乾燥部側に飛散してくることがあった。
そこで本発明は、自動車の側面と洗車機との間に形成される空間を遮蔽する側部遮蔽手段を追加して、自動車側部からの飛散水の侵入を極力少なくし、洗浄と乾燥を同時に実行しても乾燥効率を損なうことのない洗車機を提案することを目的とするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
このような課題を解決するために本発明は、自動車または洗車機の移動に伴い、自動車の洗浄と洗浄後の車体の乾燥とを自動的に行う洗車機において、少なくとも洗浄水等を散布する手段を備えた洗浄部とブロワノズルを備えた乾燥部とを洗車機の前後に配置し、洗浄部よりも前方に自動車の側面位置を検出する車体側面検出手段を備えるとともに、洗浄部と乾燥部との間に洗浄部からの水滴が乾燥部に達しないように自動車と洗車機との隙間を遮断する遮蔽手段を備え、前記遮蔽手段をブロワノズルからの風により変形しない程度の剛性を有し、洗車機の上部から自動車の上方空間を遮断する上部遮蔽手段と、洗車機の側部から自動車の側方空間を遮断する側部遮蔽手段とから構成し、前記車体側面検出手段で検出する自動車の側面位置に基づいて、前記側部遮蔽手段を洗車機に収容させた収容位置と自動車側面に接近させた遮蔽位置とに変位させる制御手段を備えたものである。

【作用】
本発明によれば、洗浄部と乾燥部との間に自動車の上面及び側面の空間を物理的に遮断する遮蔽手段を備えたので、洗浄部から乾燥部へ洗浄水等が飛散するのを確実に防止する。特に、洗浄ブラシを使用する洗車機においては側面ブラシから飛散する洗浄水を良好に遮断することができる。また、遮蔽手段はブロワノズルからの送風に対し折れ曲がることのない剛性を有するので、ブロワノズルからの送風を遮断して洗浄部側へ送風やその他の風の影響を与えることがない。この遮蔽手段により、洗車機もしくは自動車の1方向走行で洗浄と乾燥とを同時進行させることができる。

遮蔽手段のうち、自動車側部の空間を遮断する側部遮蔽手段は、自動車側面に接近させた遮蔽位置から洗車機に収容させた収容位置へと洗車進行方向と逆方向に閉塞する開閉板で構成しており、左右別々に駆動可能である。これにより、遮蔽位置に移動させることができる側だけを作用させることができ、遮蔽手段と車体との接触が防止され、万一自動車に接触した場合でも開閉板が閉塞方向に変位するので自動車と遮蔽手段の損傷が防がれる。

以下、本発明一実施例について図面を基に説明する。
図1は本発明一実施例の洗車機を示す側面説明図である。1は洗車機本体で、門型に形成されレール2・2上を自動車を跨ぐように往復走行する。本体1には、ブラシ装置3・4a・4b,ブロワノズル装置6・7a・7bをはじめ、散水ノズル8a〜8c,液剤タンク(図示しない)等が備えられ、走行に伴って水,洗剤,ワックス等を散布してブラッシングする洗浄作業やブロワノズルより空気を吹き付ける乾燥作業を行う。

前記ブラシ装置は、本体1前側に位置し車体上面に沿って昇降し同上面をブラッシングする上面ブラシ装置3と、該上面ブラシ装置3の後方に位置し車体に対して接離(開閉)動作して車体の前後面および側面をブラッシングする左右一対の側面ブラシ装置4a・4bとからなる。このブラシ装置3・4a・4bは、散水ノズルと共にブロワノズルより本体1前側にあって、洗浄部Sを形成している。

このように本体1内に形成される洗浄部Sと乾燥部Dとの間には、遮蔽装置9・10a・10bが備えられており、洗浄部Sから飛散する水が乾燥部Dへ至らぬように遮断されている。遮蔽装置は、洗浄部Sの後方で乾燥部Dの手前に位置し、自動車上面に昇降して主に自動車上方からの飛散水を遮断するシャッター体9と、自動車側面に接離して主に自動車側方からの飛散水を遮断する開閉板10a・10bとからなり、詳細は後述する。

11a・11bは洗車機本体1の洗浄部Sよりも前方に位置して設けられ、自動車の側方から車体上面の形状を読み取る車形検出装置で、複数の発光素子を備えた発光部11aと該発光部の発光素子に対向した受光素子を備えた受光部11bとを自動車を挟むように配置し、各発光素子を上下に順番に発光させ、各受光素子での受光状態をモニタして車体により遮光された最上部を車体の上面位置として検出するものである。12a・12bは同じく洗浄部Sよりも前方に位置して設けられ、自動車の側面位置を読み取る車体側面検出装置で、車体側面に向けて超音波を発信してから車体面での反射波を受信するまでの時間により自動車側面までの距離を検出するものである。13は洗車機本体1の走行位置を検出する走行エンコーダで、本体1を走行させる走行モータ14の出力軸に取り付けられ、洗車機本体1が単位距離走行する毎にパルス出力するものである。

次に遮蔽装置9・10a・10bの構成について説明する。
図2はシャッター体9の構成を示している。
シャッター体9は、横に並べた細長い鋼板を上下に複数連結させた構成をなし、鋼板シャッターと同程度の少なくともブロワノズルからの送風や荒天時の強風に対し折れ曲がることのない剛性を有している。シャッター体9の両側縁にはチェーン15・15が一体に固定されており、このチェーン15・15において本体1上方の前スプロケット16a・16b及び後スプロケット16c・16dと噛み合わされ、前スプロケット16a・16bを連結するシャフト17をギアモータ18で回転駆動することにより昇降される。ここでは、シャフト17の正転により下方へ繰り出され、逆転により上方へ繰り込まれるようになっている。

また、シャッター体9は、前スプロケット16a・16bと後スプロケット16c・16d間で、シャッター体9両側縁を挾持する断面略コ字状のレール19によりガイドされ、ギアモータ18の駆動に伴いレール19に沿ってスライドする。この間、シャッター体9は、洗浄部S側で散水ノズル8cの上方を略水平に配設され、シャッター体9より長く延出されたチェーン15・15をスプロケット16c・16dから下方へ垂れ下げることにより、散水ノズル8cを跨ぐよう逆U字状の軌道を描いてスライドする。この垂れ下がったチェーン15・15の下端にはウェイト20が取り付けられ、シャッター体9がスプロケット16a・16b後方で弛むことがないよう引き張られている。

シャッター体9の下端部には、アクリル等の透明材からなる窓部21が設けられている。窓部21は、シャッター体9が上限位置にあるときスプロケット16a・16bの位置にまで達しない高さ寸法に設けられており、透明な平板により外光を通し視界を確保するものである。窓部21は、両側のチェーン15・15に軸支されて乾燥部D側へ揺動可能に設けられており、洗浄された車体と万一接触しても揺動して逃げ、車体およびシャッター体の損傷を防止できる。また窓部21は突起部22において洗浄部S側への揺動が規制され、ブロワノズルからの送風により洗浄部S側へ振れて洗浄動作の邪魔をすることがないよう配慮されている。

図3は開閉板10a・10bの構成を示している。
開閉板10a・10bは、シャッター体9と同様に少なくともブロワノズルからの送風や荒天時の強風に対し折れ曲がることのない剛性を有しており、洗車機本体1の内側面に左右対称でそれぞれが独立して作動するように設けられている。開閉板10a・10bの一端は、洗車機本体1の内面に軸支され、本体1の走行方向に沿った収容位置(実線)と本体1の走行方向と直交する方向に開いた遮蔽位置(点線)との間で開閉するようになっている。この開閉板10a・10bは、遮蔽位置から収容位置に変位する閉塞方向が洗車機本体1の走行方向と逆方向となるように支持されており、遮蔽位置にある開閉板に自動車が接触すると収容位置に閉塞して逃げるようになっている。

開閉板10a・10bの背面には、開閉板10a・10bを開閉するリンクアーム25が接続され、このリンクアーム25にはエアシリンダー26が連係されており、エアシリンダー26が伸びると開閉板10a・10bが遮蔽位置に変位し、縮むと開閉板10a・10bが収容位置に変位するようになる。開閉板の支点Pには、エアシリンダー26の付勢を解いても開閉板10a・10bを収容位置または遮蔽位置に付勢するバネ27が内蔵されており、開閉板10a・10bはエアシリンダー26で各位置に変位させた後はこのバネ27によって各位置に保持されるようになる。

エアシリンダー26には、近接スイッチ28a・28bが設けられており、シリンダーの伸縮状態を把握することで開閉板10a・10bの位置検出を行っている。すなわち、シリンダーが伸びると近接スイッチ28aがONとなり開閉板10a・10bは遮蔽位置にあり、シリンダーが縮むとスイッチ28bがONとなり開閉板10a・10bは収容位置にあることが検出される。ここで、開閉板10a・10bが遮蔽位置にいるとき、近接スイッチ28aがOFFに変化すると、自動車と接触したことが検出されるので、シリンダーの縮む方向に給気して開閉板を収容位置に閉じるようにする。尚、開閉板の先端には、弾性を有する保護材29が取り付けられている。

30はマイクロコンピュータを備えた制御部、31は各部の駆動回路、32は洗車コース等を指定する操作パネルである。制御部30は、操作パネル32において洗車を受け付け、車形検出装置11a・11b、車体側面検出装置12a・12bをはじめとする各種センサからの信号に基づき予めプログラムされたシーケンスに沿って洗車装置本体1の走行,ブラシ装置3・4a・4bおよびブロワノズル装置6・7a・7bの作動,散水ノズル8a〜8cからの放水,遮蔽装置9・10a・10bの駆動を駆動回路31を介して制御するものである。操作パネル32は、各種洗車コースをはじめ突起物の指定や料金受付など行うものであり、洗車機本体1の洗車エリアに入場する入場口に設定された洗車受付ユニット(図示しない)に設けられている。

図5は実施例の洗車動作例を説明するタイムチャートで、ここでは本体1が1回往行するだけで洗浄と乾燥とを完了するスピード洗車を例示している。なお、この他にも、本体1の1往復走行に伴い十分にブラッシング洗浄し、続く往行時にワックスがけと乾燥処理とを同時進行で行うといったように、複数の洗車動作が可能である。以下、この図5及び図6を基に実施例の動作を説明する。

洗車装置本体1は通常、レール2,2後方の洗車開始位置に停止している。洗車利用者が洗車受付ユニットの操作ボックス32において洗車料金を投入し希望する洗車メニューを選択すると入場可能となる。ここで、利用者がレール2・2間に自動車Aを乗り入れ、自動車が所定の洗車位置に停車されると、まずは洗浄が開始される。

ここで、開閉板10a・10bは、車体側面検出装置12a・12bで検出される自動車側面の距離に基づいて左右別々に駆動される。図7は状態別の開閉板の動作を示しており、図7(a)に示すように、普通の車幅の自動車が洗車機の中心に停車されている場合は、両方の開閉板10a・10bを作用させるが、図7(b)に示すように、洗車開始時の自動車の停車位置が左右どちらかに片寄っていた場合は、開閉板を遮蔽位置に開くことができない側の開閉板を開かず、反対側のみを開くようにし、図7(c)に示すように、車幅の大きな自動車に対しては両方を開かないようにするのである。開閉板10a・10bは、遮蔽位置において乾燥部Dからの送風では畳まれず自動車に接触した場合に畳まれる方向で保持されており、しかも近接スイッチ28aで自動車との接触を検出したら直ちに収容位置に閉じるように構成しているので、車体及び開閉板の損傷を防ぐことができる。

自動車が洗浄部Sから抜けると、上面ブラシ3及び側面ブラシ4a・4bを定位置に戻して洗浄が終了となる。乾燥部Dでは引き続き、上面ブロワノズル6を車体上面に沿って昇降し側面ブロワノズル7・7と合わせて車体に空気を吹き付ける。このブロワノズルの駆動も前記車形検出装置11a・11bに基づいて制御され、ブロワノズルが車体後端位置に達すれば乾燥が終了となる。また、遮蔽装置9・10a・10bは、全ブラシの駆動および散水ノズルからの放水が停止され、車体後端がシャッター体9の位置を通過したことが確認されると、シャッター体9は本体1上方の待機位置へ巻き上げられ、開閉板10a・10bは本体1側方の収容位置に閉じられる(図6b)。

こうして、本体1が1回往行するだけのスピード洗車が終了すると、制御部20では、洗車した自動車の退場を促し、これに応えて自動車が退場すると、本体1を洗車開始位置まで後退させて洗車動作終了となる。以上のように往行に伴いブラッシング洗浄と乾燥処理とを同時進行で行って、従来の門型洗車機で1往復して行っていた洗車を半分の1回の往行だけで完了することができるのである。

尚、本発明は、上記実施例に限定されるものではなく、請求項の記載を逸脱しない範囲で種々の実施態様が考えられる。実施例では装置本体1の前寄りに洗浄部Sを形成し後寄りに乾燥部Dを形成してあるが、現在広く普及している門型洗車機のように前寄りに乾燥部を設け後寄りに洗浄部を設け、本体の往復走行により洗車動作を行うものに適用できることは勿論である。また、装置本体内に自動車を走行させて洗浄する洗車機においても同様に適用できる。更に、実施例の洗浄部Sではブラッシング洗浄を行うが、ブラシを備えず高圧スプレーで洗浄をはかる方式のブラシレス洗車機にも適用可能であることは明らかである。

また、開閉板の構造も上記実施例に限定されるものではなく、側面ブラシと同様な構成で自動車側面に対して任意に接離できるようにしても良い。更に、車体側面検出装置として、本体側方から超音波センサで検出する構成を例示したが、超音波センサで本体の上方から自動車の側面位置を検出するものや、側面ブラシに自動車の側面に接触したことを検出するスイッチを設け、側面ブラシの駆動モータのエンコーダから側面位置を検出するもの、本体前面上部にカメラを設けて撮影した自動車位置から側面位置を検出するもの等でもよい。

【発明の効果】
以上のように本発明は、洗車機内の洗浄部と乾燥部との間にブロワノズルからの送風に対し折れ曲がることのない剛性を有し、自動車の上部及び側部を遮断する遮蔽手段を設けたので、洗浄部から乾燥部へ洗浄水等を飛散させるを確実に防止することができる。また、洗浄部と乾燥部とが区画された状態になるので、乾燥部からの送風に影響されることなく、洗浄と乾燥とを同時進行で実行可能で迅速な洗車が可能となる。また洗浄部と乾燥部とを離して設ける必要もないから、装置の小型化が可能になる。
