Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a polishing tool used in the yarn chamfering machining after breaking of the glass substrate used such as for liquid crystal or plasma display.
[0002]
[Prior art]
An example of the processing method at the time of performing the thread chamfering after the cleaving of the glass substrate for liquid crystal or plasma display using a wheel is shown in FIG.
3A shows a state viewed from a direction perpendicular to the traveling direction of the
3A and 3B, two disk-
As a grinding tool for such an application, sandpaper or a general metal wheel is usually used.
Moreover, what provided the groove | channel on the grindstone surface is described in patent document 1. FIG.
[0003]
[Patent Document 1]
JP-A-8-90428 (paragraph numbers 0004 to 0013)
[0004]
This is characterized in that the grindstone pieces are arranged with a slight interval, and the groove formed by this interval is not formed radially from the center to the outside. According to this grinding tool, the polishing liquid is not immediately discharged to the outside due to the centrifugal force of rotation, and the stress applied to the grooves is dispersed, so that it is difficult to be partially damaged, and the life of the flexible grinding wheel can be extended. it can.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, when processing is performed by attaching sandpaper to the rotating plate, the sharpness is rapidly reduced and the tool life is extremely short, so that it is necessary to frequently replace the tool.
Further, when machining is performed with a general metal wheel, chipping of the work material is likely to occur due to high rigidity. Therefore, it is difficult to obtain a good processed surface.
Moreover, although the grinding tool described in Patent Document 1 has the above-described effects, it does not have elasticity by forming grooves, and cannot prevent chipping.
The present invention, these circumstances has been made in consideration of, by suppressing occurrence of chipping of the workpiece, Migaku Ken tools for thread chamfering of the glass substrate capable of obtaining a satisfactory processed surface The purpose is to provide.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a disc-shaped polishing tool having an abrasive layer formed by adhering abrasive grains with a resin bond material, wherein a slit is provided on the surface of the abrasive layer, and the slit is A polishing tool for chamfering a glass substrate, which is provided radially on the surface of the abrasive layer and concentrically.
By providing the slit in this manner, the elasticity of the polishing tool is increased and the contact with the work material is softened during processing, so that it is possible to prevent an excessive load from being applied to the processing point. As a result, chipping of the work material is reduced and a good machined surface can be obtained. Furthermore, the formation of the slits improves the supply of grinding fluid and the discharge of chips, and improves the sharpness.
[0007]
In the polishing tool of the present invention, the depth of the slit is 60% or more and 90% or less of the height of the abrasive layer.
If the depth of the slit is less than 60% of the height of the abrasive layer, the elasticity of the abrasive layer is not sufficiently improved, while if the depth of the slit exceeds 90% of the height of the abrasive layer, Since the abrasive layer tends to break, it is not preferable.
The polishing tool of the present invention is characterized in that the concentric slits are not provided on the center side from 50% of the radius of the disk.
Providing a slit on the center side of the radius of 50% of the disk not only makes the chip in that area small and easily breaks, but also reduces the chip rate determined by (chip layer surface area) / (total area of the area). For this reason, the grinding ability is lowered, and the wear is further accelerated.
[0008]
In the polishing tool of the present invention, the pitch of the concentrically provided slits is set to 1/10 or less of the radius of the polishing tool.
If the pitch of the slit exceeds one-tenth of the radius of the polishing tool, sufficient elasticity cannot be obtained, and the bending of the abrasive layer does not become a curve, but becomes a square bend and hits the work material. It is not preferable because it becomes intermittent.
[0009]
The polishing tool of the present invention is characterized in that the radially provided slits are not less than 4 and not more than 36.
When the number of radially provided slits is less than 4, the number of points (lines) that bend in the circumferential direction is small, and sufficient elasticity cannot be obtained, so that it is difficult to obtain the effects of the present invention. On the other hand, if the number of radially provided slits exceeds 36, it is not preferable because the inner peripheral tip becomes small and the abrasive layer strength is lowered and easily broken.
[0010]
In the polishing tool of the present invention, the slit has a width of 1 mm or more, and the curvature of the bottom of the slit is R0.5 or more and is 1/2 R or less of the slit width.
When the curvature of the bottom of the slit is less than R0.5, the stress is concentrated on the bottom when the abrasive layer is bent, and therefore, the slit is easily damaged. On the other hand, if the curvature of the bottom of the slit exceeds one half of the slit width, the intersection of the bottom of the slit or the slope and the R portion will not be smoothly connected, and as in the above case, damage due to stress concentration will occur. Cheap.
Therefore, the crack of an abrasive material layer can be prevented effectively by making curvature of the bottom part of a slit into the above-mentioned range. The reason why the slit width is 1 mm or more is that the above R condition cannot be satisfied with a slit width of less than 1 mm.
[0011]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described based on the embodiments.
FIG. 1 shows a polishing tool according to an embodiment of the present invention.
FIG. 1A is a plan view of the polishing tool, and FIG. 1B is a cross-sectional view of the polishing tool.
In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes an abrasive layer, and this abrasive layer 1 is formed by fixing abrasive grains made of diamond or the like with a resin bond material.

[0013]
【Example】
Specific production examples are shown below.
In the polishing tool (SD325) according to the embodiment of the present invention described above, the slit depth is 2 mm (corresponding to 67% of the abrasive layer height), the curvature of the bottom is R1.0, and the radial slit is Polishing with 36 concentric slits with a pitch of 5 mm (corresponding to 1/15 of the radius of the polishing tool) (hereinafter referred to as “invention product”) and sandpaper (# 320) attached to a metal rotating plate A machining test was performed on the tool (hereinafter referred to as “conventional product”).
[0014]
The test conditions are as follows.
[0015]
The test results are shown in FIG.
FIG. 2 compares the chipping of the work material after machining.
As can be seen from FIG. 2, the size of the chip of the invention product is reduced to about 1/3 of the conventional product. Further, in the conventional product, sudden chipping occurs, whereas in the invention product, such sudden chipping hardly occurs.
[0016]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, the following effects can be obtained.
(1) The slits are provided radially on the surface of the abrasive layer and are provided concentrically, thereby increasing the elasticity of the polishing tool and reducing the contact with the work material during processing. Can be prevented. As a result, chipping of the work material is reduced and a good machined surface can be obtained. Furthermore, the formation of the slits improves the supply of grinding fluid and the discharge of chips, and improves the sharpness.
[0017]
(2) By setting the depth of the slit to 60% or more and 90% or less of the height of the abrasive layer, damage to the abrasive layer can be prevented while improving the elasticity of the abrasive layer.
[0018]
(3) By not providing a concentric slit on the center side from 50% of the radius of the disk, it is possible to prevent breakage and to suppress a reduction in grinding ability and progress of wear.
[0019]
(4) By setting the pitch of the concentrically formed slits to be one tenth or less of the radius of the polishing tool, sufficient elasticity is obtained, and the bending of the abrasive layer becomes a rectangular curve. It is possible to prevent intermittent contact with the cutting material.
[0020]
(5) By making the slits provided radially to be not less than 4 and not more than 36, sufficient elasticity is obtained, and the inner peripheral side chip becomes small and the abrasive layer strength is lowered and easily damaged. Can be prevented.
[0021]
(6) Breakage can be effectively prevented by setting the slit width to 1 mm or more and the curvature of the bottom of the slit to be R0.5 or more and 1/2 R or less of the slit width.
